Omg people weren't joking when they said Barry's is like OT but MUCH more intense because I was shaking during my workouts. My friend invited me to take a class with her and I have always wanted to try and now I am ADDICTED. I really love the vibes here and the music choices that were played during my workout. Everything from the studio to the bathroom is so clean and nice. I love the same amenities they have in the bathroom such as hair ties and spray deodorants to use in case you forget yours at home. I can't wait to make this a weekly workout in my routine!!

    This is a $13 smoothie.

This is a $13 smoothie... It even costs extra to add milk instead of water, but honestly, I don't think milk would've saved it. The flavor and quality just didn't match the price. I ended up paying $17 with DoorDash fees and I'm pretty disappointed!

I had my first official Barry's class today! In the past, I did a corporate zoom one during the pandemic but I'm not counting that one since it was an at home class. I arrived and was helped by the friendly front desk. They gave me the run down for my first class and I got ready. Jeremy was the coach for the class and I loved his energy. He did a nice demo of each exercise so it was very clear what to do and it was an invigorating time. I don't play music when I exercise so them blasting it and changing the lights whenever we're doing the most intense part of the workout made it even more exciting. My SO ordered the PB&J smoothie for us to share and it tasted mostly like protein powder with a hint of peanut butter. I personally will skip the smoothie next time since it is quite pricey but it is nice for the convenience and satisfying cool drink to ingest as soon as you've sweated it out for a class. The towels are soft and the Ouai amenities are nice~ Overall, a nice experience to try out.

I took a class here for the first time and it was a lot of fun! I was worried if I'd be in the right shape for a class since I'd been traveling and not working out, but I felt confident and capable throughout. Ilikea was a great instructor for the Total Body Class. She motivated me to push myself harder than I normally would. Their smoothies are also tasty! I brought my protein powder but opted for their smoothies instead and I felt fueled to start my day.

As someone who has been regularly working out for over 5 years, these classes are fun but easy. Although they say it's for all levels, I do see beginners struggling to keep up or use proper form. Because the trainers are essentially running two workout groups per class (treadmill and floor), they don't have time for individual coaching. That said, everyone is very friendly and I see groups of friends attending classes and having fun. Pros: -Lots of positivity in the classes. -Staff is nice. -Very clean facilities. -Yummy smoothies. -Convenient location in Santana Row. -Good for cardio (HIIT based routine). Cons: -Loud music. -Fast paced and hard to follow along in the class if you are a beginner. -No correction on improper form. -Hard to see the trainer demonstrating the exercises, depending on your spot in class. -Can be expensive depending on the membership or package you choose. Each class is about $35.

Always love coming to this spot for a quick workout! I love the PB&J smoothie! Thomas and Janelle are my favorite instructors!

The staff here at barry Santana Row is super nice and friendly. Love coming out here when I'm able to. The vibe down here is unlike what you would expect from some of the other studios around the bay area.

Location: It's by Santana Row. I suggest arriving early if it's your first time in case you have trouble finding it. Parking shouldn't be too bad as there's the Santana Row parking structures. Ambiance: High energy, chic, all the things you think it is. The bathrooms are crazy nice and are perfect to hide in when the workout gets too intense. They have lockers too! The workout: Loud music, loud trainer, and high energy. Did I mention it's high energy? This is not for the faint of heart There are benches on one side where you work with weights and the other side has treadmills. You switch between the two whenever the trainer tells you to. Good luck! I forget the reason, but they were also giving out white claws.

// W H A T I S I T ? Barry's offers intense workouts classes that consist of 2 key components - treadmill and floor activities (with weights and bands). Every class/trainer has a different variation on the specific exercises and activities that you will be performing, but typically half of the class is on the treadmill whereas the other half is on the floor. The trainer will then call out when it's time for everyone to switch places. During your time on the treadmill and/or floor, the trainer will also give out specific instructions on what speed/interval to run at or what exercise you'll be performing on the floor. Workouts occur in the Red Room, which is aptly named as the entire room is illuminated with red-tinted lights that definitely increases your adrenaline. All workouts also have very upbeat music choices which can be quite loud - almost like a club so just be aware. Barry's classes have different areas of focus on different days of the week that are led by different trainers. Pick whatever suits you. // I S I T H A R D ? The short answer is yes. Barry's workouts can be quite difficult, but only if you choose to push yourself. The trainers do call out specific instructions on the weights they'd like you to use or the speed they'd like you to run at, but you are free to choose whatever suits you best and/or take breaks if you're feeling tired. Barry's can be a bit intimidating when you go for the very first time, especially if you go by yourself. However, the trainers are pretty friendly and everyone is very encouraging. // I S I T E X P E N S I V E ? Yes!!! Barry's classes are expensive!!!!! With no discounts, one class costs $35. If you're willing to buy a class package, that does bring the cost down a few dollars per class but the average is still around $30/class. If you've never tried Barry's before, be sure to use the First Timers deal as this is the BEST price you'll ever get - 3 classes for $50. Also, keep in mind that classes + packages have expiration dates so you need to use all your credits before then. // I S I T W O R T H I T ? This is something that will differ for every person, but personally, I love Barry's and think the classes are a GREAT workout. Unfortunately, the prices are definitely hard to swallow but I would definitely recommend people try it if they had been thinking about it anyways :) // A M E N I T I E S The prices sure are high, but they do get you some nice things too :) Complimentary items: - Earplugs - Lockers - Hair Ties - Sweat + Bath Towels - Refillable water station - Plastic bags for your dirty clothes - NICE toiletries: Oribe shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, lotion, and face wash - Showers (in bathrooms) - Hair Dryers (in bathrooms) Barry's also has a Fuel Bar where you can purchase (protein) smoothies to enjoy after your workout. You can either pre-order these so they're ready for you right after your class, or you can order them afterwards. Again, the prices for these smoothies are HIGH at $10/drink. Due to COVID, they're currently offering a limited menu.

The programming here stood out to me when I first joined. Jorge and the other trainers are not just knowledgeable, but you can tell they genuinely care about your progress. Whether its your first workout class, or you've been an experience veteran, they tailor the workouts to suit your level and constantly challenge you to make progress. You have your build days (strength/core focus) and your burn days (cardio endurance) so there is definitely a variety--keeping things fresh and exciting. It's not just about how heavy your lifting the weight. What truly sets this gym apart is the sense of community. The members here are very supportive and friendly, and the more I attend class the easier it's been for me to stay consistent. From fitness challenges to different community gatherings (taco trucks, san pedro social, xmas parties) theres always something exciting happening, keeping me motivated throughout the year. The facilities are pretty clean, the gym equipment is updated (brand new sets of kettlebells, new rogue rigs, and rogue weight plates) theres also a second room thats fully equipt with power racks, cable pulleys, FID benches, dumbbells up to 120lbs, cardio equipment. All in all if your looking for a gym that offers a supportive community and excellent programming Brickhouse is the spot to be. The trainers are knowledgeable, the members are like friends/family and the overall atmosphere is incredibly postiive.

I was so impressed that each workout starts out with intentional warm-up stretches followed by the workout of the day with great music and excellent coaches. The workouts are also progressive and build on one another and are always different. This keeps it fresh and fun! The coaches demo all the moves, provide modifications as needed and encourage everyone to be their best. I've been going 4-5x's a week and am 4 months in. My morning workouts have become a habit I want to instill for life. I've seen weightloss results and more importantly, I've become stronger and am lifting heavier than I thought I could. All the latest research points to the importance of strength training and women lifting heavy to prevent muscle loss, increase bone density and thrive as we age! FNS Training Center - Santa Clara…read more I recently dropped in for a 5AM class at FNS, and even from just one session, it's clear this place is built different. Right away, I noticed the tight-knit camaraderie. There's a strong sense of community that honestly feels even more connected than other group fitness gyms like F45. As a first-timer, I felt welcomed from the start. The energy is on another level. The headset mic system helps amplify coaching across the large floor space, making the session feel clear and high-energy. Coach Brenden's shout-outs during the workout were electric--you could tell everyone was feeding off it. After class, Kim at the front desk was incredibly helpful--she walked me through a tour and went over my InBody results in detail. That kind of individual attention isn't something you always get, and it really stood out. My wife joined me for the class too (she had to rush out early since she works in Menlo by 6:30 AM), but we were both impressed by the vibe and professionalism. On a personal note--I've admired Brian Nunez from afar since meeting him a couple of times back in the 2006-2008 Club One / Active Sports Club days. It felt full-circle finally stepping into the space he's built. He's become a truly respected leader in the fitness industry, and FNS absolutely reflects that vision. As someone turning 40 this year, raising a 4-year-old and a teen, and down 70+ lbs since April 2024, fitness isn't just about reps for me--it's about reclaiming my life. FNS brings that intention, energy, and leadership I respect deeply. Whether you're starting fresh or leveling up--FNS is the real deal.

After a few meager attempts to get into an exercise routine, it became clear I would need to pay someone to kick my proverbial butt on a regular basis. I was excited to find a gym with such consistently great reviews nearby, and WESTCA absolutely lives up to the hype. I have a decent amount of experience with lifting and resistance training, but I also have some physical limitations, so the semi-private training format has been perfect for me. It provides the structure and accountability I was looking for while still meeting me where I am in terms of experience, fitness level, and physical capability. I've been training with Ivan, who consistently brings good vibes. His instructions are clear, he's quick to adapt exercises around physical limitations when needed, and he progresses training safely and thoughtfully with encouragement along the way. Progress has been steady, and I love feeling stronger and more energetic. As many other reviewers have mentioned, WESTCA is a smaller gym with a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes it easy to stay consistent. If you're looking for a gym, WESTCA is an easy recommendation.

He also does a great job tailoring workouts to your specific needs and constantly adds different exercise variations to keep things effective, challenging, and fun. Every workout feels personalized instead of repetitive. The gym itself is amazing too -- it has every piece of equipment you could possibly need, plus all the little extras that make training better. Everything is always incredibly clean and spotless, which makes the environment even more motivating to be in. On top of all that, Adam keeps workouts fun and motivating.
