I love LFBA studios! I started my Lagree journey at the Berryessa location and am excited to continue with my membership at Alameda. The instructors here are super kind and helpful. I love taking Nicolina's classes - she's super funny and motivating. I also love Nancy's playlists. I still have to try out the other instructors but I know I can never go wrong. I always leave feeling like I had a great workout. Facilities are clean and new. Parking is usually never an issue either. If you haven't yet, I recommend taking a class with the first time promos.

I've trained with other trainers at gyms and I always felt disappointed with the lack of interest they showed in me. Previous trainers would just watch what I'm doing and call it a day. Corinne guides me thru the exercises, shows me how to properly do them, also answer's questions that I may have related to fitness and health. I am currently 3 months postpartum and I have never felt supported as much I am now. The daily check ins, the guidance on macros. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I was so impressed that each workout starts out with intentional warm-up stretches followed by the workout of the day with great music and excellent coaches. The workouts are also progressive and build on one another and are always different. This keeps it fresh and fun! The coaches demo all the moves, provide modifications as needed and encourage everyone to be their best. I've been going 4-5x's a week and am 4 months in. My morning workouts have become a habit I want to instill for life. I've seen weightloss results and more importantly, I've become stronger and am lifting heavier than I thought I could. The people are awesome, all friendly and supportive. It's an all around great community and I always feel so good after the workouts! Why can't I give more than 5 stars??!…read more If you are like me and HATE working out, Lena is the personal trainer you never knew you needed. She provides a judgement-free environment with zero pressure from others because it's just you and her during the 1:1 sessions. She gives the right amount of push, positive reinforcement, and guidance so you can achieve your own goals. She is firm and demanding, but somehow gentle and understanding at the same time, too. She checks in to see how you're feeling at the start, multiple times during, and at the end of each session. She is attentive, provides clear instructions, models the movements, and is very open to modifying exercises and expectations based on what you personally need. I also love that her gym is smaller than a typical corporate gym. It has a cozier, less intimidating feel to it. Not to worry, though. Her gym is fully stocked and she has everything you need to achieve a full-body workout. In addition to a free consultation (5-10 min talk re: goals + 30 min workout), she offers single sessions or you can buy a package of sessions at a slight discount. In terms of scheduling, she's very accommodating. I've had to change my session to another day several times now and she was really great about squeezing me in on another day of the week. If you're on the fence about signing up, don't be. Lena is nothing like the personal trainer stereotypes out there. She's personable, approachable, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Her gym is clean, private, well-equipped, and in a super convenient spot in Santa Clara San Jose border, near Sevens Creek and Winchester. I haven't felt this strong and healthy in years. He crafted a unique workout program based on my goals and helped me to achieve those goals. The best thing about training with Grant is that he motivated and pushed me during workouts while making sure that I was using the right posture to prevent injury. The studio was also very appealing to the eye. Inside is clean, bathrooms were stocked with all the necessary items after a class, and the workout room itself was dark with red LED hues which made the class even better. Cade was the instructor that taught the class and he came in bringing all the right energy! His playlist was more of a bonus as it fit so well with the tempo of the class. Cade was able to introduce himself and allow all members to adjust/familiarize themselves with the equipment before starting the session. In addition, he recognized the new comers to the class which I thought was a nice touch towards the end which was definitely more encouraging and enticing to come back again. The class itself was super fast pace where you are alternating from the treadmill to the free weights section. Overall, if you are looking for something with high intensity workouts, this is the spot for you!

When I went to the front desk to ask for a refund, the staff member was rude, dismissive, and spoke to me and my friends in a condescending manner, as if I didn't understand the process, even though I did exactly what was required. I am a Santana Row resident and regularly support businesses here, but I will not be returning to Barry's after this experience. I hope management addresses the behavior of the front desk staff because this level of customer service is unacceptable.

What makes Adam such a great trainer is how flexible and dedicated he is. I travel a lot and work a demanding software engineering job, but he's always willing to adjust schedules and make things work. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and loves what he does. Even on days we don't train, he still checks in, gives me pointers, and helps me stay on track. He also does a great job tailoring workouts to your specific needs and constantly adds different exercise variations to keep things effective, challenging, and fun. Every workout feels personalized instead of repetitive. The gym itself is amazing too -- it has every piece of equipment you could possibly need, plus all the little extras that make training better. Everything is always incredibly clean and spotless, which makes the environment even more motivating to be in. On top of all that, Adam keeps workouts fun and motivating.
