The equipment is in good shape, the gym stays clean, and people tend to put their weights back which is always nice to see. The staff have been cool every time I've talked to them, and I like that it's open 24/7 because my schedule isn't always the same. It gets a little busy after work, but I've never had to wait too long for what I need. If you're looking for a pool or a bunch of fancy extras, this probably isn't the spot. But if you just want a clean gym with good equipment and a chill atmosphere where you can get your workout in, I'd definitely recommend checking it out. No complaints from me so far.

I think I got there around 6 PM. There was a line 3 deep waiting for two fly machines. There was an individual that was actually putting their phone down on the fly machine and then walking over to the barbells across the gym, doing a set and then coming back to the fly machine and doing a set. The three of us were looking at each other like does the world revolve around this person? Clearly the answer was no. I asked this person what they were doing...and they said I'm supersetting. So I asked this person, how long were they going to superset? They said, I'll be here a long time. Really? Not during Peak hours. Sorry. When I went to change the weight on the fly machine, they got in my face and "management" and I do use that term loosely, intervened. Rather than telling this person that it was PEAK hours, and there was a line 3 deep waiting for the fly machine, he asked the other person on the fly machine how many sets they had left? Then he turned to me as well as the two other people that were patiently waiting and said..."he's almost done, perhaps you can wait"? So let me paraphrase this for all of you. During PEAK hours when there is a line of paying customers waiting for a machine, it's OK to save it while you go off and do a totally different exercise...again, while we all wait patiently for a customer that has zero respect for their peers. Ok. Got it. To "management"... and you know who you are. You're talking to a guy that's owned two really large software companies. You'd know who they are. I say that not to impress you, but I say that because I have a little experience in "management". It's a really hard job. It requires you to make very tough decisions that are sometimes not favorable. But some people are not cut out for management. I don't think that's you. Next time make the right decision. The tough decision. I think you've got it in you. Besides, I'd rather not head over to Planet Fitness...wink-wink.

This has been my preferred gym location since 2022. Although I have visited several other locations, I consistently choose to drive 20 minutes to this facility because of its spacious layout and the level of comfort I feel while working out here. Even when I have noticed that two to three stair masters were out of order or certain machines had ongoing issues that I previously reported to staff, I continued to attend this location. Today, while using the assisted dip machine near the aerobics room, I noticed that the pole on the left side became loose during use. I immediately approached the front desk to report the issue, with the manager Johnathan present. I expressed my concern that this malfunction could have resulted in a serious injury. Unfortunately, there was not an ounce of sympathy or even apology at the very least from the manager which raised concerns about how guest safety issues are handled. I handled the issue in a calm and graceful manner, but if it was another guest, I wondered how the outcome would've looked.

Beyond cleanliness, this 24 is an absolute joke. 70% of the treadmills don't work, every 4th machine or bench on the floor doesn't work. 100% of the equipment has worn out leather, creaks, rattles, wobbles. It's like this gym has literally not been serviced since it opened its doors for the first time. Save yourself the time and literally do not intentionally drive yourself to this 24. What an absolute joke.

It's full of strong, supportive baddies who genuinely cheer each other on. A PT suggested I do strength training (nothing was really wrong, I was just weak), but I was worried about hurting my back further by doing things wrong. So I looked for a place with instruction and coaching, and found FIIT60. Mike has been such an incredible help! The first few months I needed a LOT of guidance and suggestions, but he was always there to correct my form an explain things clearly so I wouldn't hurt myself. Starting as a complete beginner was really daunting, but over time things became easier and I not only did I feel stronger, but my back hurt less, and I had more energy in general. I started attending more classes and after nearly a year I felt completely different from before. I'm still improving and learning because Mike knows how to increase the difficulty and make modifications for people of different skill levels. I've got long terms goals I want to hit, and I feel like I'm moving toward them! The mood in the classes is great too, in addition to the health benefits (which are many!), it's just a nice expereince and I look forward to going to class. Everyone there is really supportive and friendly, and Mike maintains an upbeat and positive environment. It's a very family friendly place too, you will spot the occasional kid chilling in the corner or even a baby in their stroller. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you're a beginner like I am then you're in good hands. And if you have more expereince, then there's plenty of room to grow here.

I just bookmarked for a couple of years, and I finally visited it. My boyfriend and I along with his doggie were having a day out in Santa Cruz. I told him that we should visit this place so that we can swing on the beach. He was down for it, but once we found the way to get down to it--he said, "No way, I'm doing that." I *did* not let that stop me from going down there to experience the swing though. My boyfriend and his doggie stayed at the top of the cliff and watched me climbed down to the beach. Yes, it was pretty treacherous. Thank goodness there was a rope with knots to hold onto. Otherwise, I don't think I would be able to do it successfully without that lifesaver rope. Thank you so much to whoever secured that rope there! Also, I do want to point out I did this in a dress and flipflops?! Crazy right.. Then again.. I'm crazy, I do admit it. ;) There were a four gals and guys down there chilling. I asked them if there was another way to get in and out of here, but they confirm that that was the only way in and out. I got to swing on the swing and took some videos. The swing looked cool from the photos that I seen, but it doesn't swing well straight. It does swing sideways. Lol... It took me about 7 minutes to go down and about 4 minutes to climb back up. I know this because my boyfriend recorded me. Lol... I'm very grateful that I was determined to do this despite the company that I had didn't want to do it. Years ago I let someone that I was with who didn't want to do it influence me to also not do it when we visitied Alamere Falls so I won't let that happen anymore. If there is something I want to do, it's okay to do it alone when other people don't want to do it. That's on self-love, baby! There is two parking areas. We initially parked in the one right across the post office, but then we follow this group to the other one right next to it because it was closer. We walked across the railroad tracks and found the opening to the climb to the beach. I was sore for a few days afterwards in my legs from climbing the side of the cliff, but oh gosh... It was so worth it!

Local day trips often just take me anywhere from Bodega Bay…read moreup north to Monterey down south, but most times just from the stretch of Pacifica to Santa Cruz. And when I cruise down leisurely down this glorious highway, I won't just gun the vehicle and go from destination to destination. I like to randomly stop at little towns, beaches, roadhouse eateries that's dotted along the way. There are so many beaches on highway 1. I'm still exploring around myself. Pulled in onto this beach as they had a big parking area on the cliffside. This is in-between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay, super close to the road that you can take to go to Big Basin. This is not a lying around type of beach. It is very raw and very windy for some reason. Lots of seabirds on parts of the beach, lots of stranded seaweed and due to the wind, lots of white water surf. And a big attraction here actually is due to the surf and wind conditions. Lots of surfers and wind-surfers here that it'll catch your eye even from the highway. Wind surfers are these skilled and brave souls that go out in rough seawater with a parachute like apparatus connected to them, as so they can take flight and take leaps almost at bird level. And they are able to surf more waves without being pounded by rough waves, as they are able to jump from wave to wave via air/wind. Even tho it was too windy for me to sit out there for longer than 30 minutes, it was a blast watching these guys bounce and float around in what would otherwise be dangerous waters. I'm eventually going to knock out all the beaches from Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay, and this one was a special one to knock out.

He is excited to go again. He talked about the fun he had that days for several days after. I would def recommend trying it out even if it's just for one time. I'm sure your kid will talk you into coming again.

I first started coming to ES back in 2017/2018, as I was referred by my two cousins who had nothing but great things to talk about this place. I had to try it out for myself, and the minute I had my very first boot camp class, I was hooked. It's not your ordinary gym. The energy when you walk into this place just rushes inside of you and makes you want to workout! I was coming here consistently for about a year, with boot camp classes 3x to 4x times a week. I was seeing major fat loss along with toning of my body. The trainers here keep you engaged, focused and motivated during all times. I took about a two year break as I was going through something and could not commit to coming in consistently. Fast forward 2 years, I headed back to ES with my fiance as we were both trying to lose some weight for our engagement party. I told my fiance I knew just who to go-to for help, the mastermind and the boss behind it all. Mr. Alex Zuniga. Alex and I kept in contact throughout the years and would chat from time to time, even during the time that I wasn't a member there anymore. When we headed to on our first day, we took a physical assessment test to see where we were at physically and what we needed improvement on. By the end of the assessment (in which we couldn't even finish due to how out of shape we both were), Alex designed a meal plan for both her and I and offered us a personal training 2x/week. The first 2 weeks was brutal, but by the 3rd week we started seeing major improvements not only with our stamina and endurance, but physically we were able to see the change, and even on the scale. To this day, every Thursday we do a "weigh-in" to see where we are and to keep us on-track with our journey of losing weight. After two months of consistent training, I personally lost 15lbs! My endurance and stamina has increased to the point where my fiance and I are now working out on days that we're not at ES, seeing even more of a change. Before coming to ES, I had no motivation to workout or do anything that consisted of pushing myself. At Elite Spartans, they hold you accountable and they motivate you at the same time by celebrating every milestone and bit of improvement you make. The staff here is on another level. Everyone is super nice and easy going. Some members from the past during the 2017/2018 boot camp days are now trainers! It's nice to see familiar faces in-which you once suffered through sweat and blood. They often have monthly challenges in which you can sign up for (no obligation) and it just adds to the part of making this journey fun. In addition, something cool they added was the MyZone Fitness Tracker. This has contributed to A LOT of the change I've seen. When you walk into the gym, your MyZone sensor automatically syncs up to the gyms monitors. Throughout your workout, you're able to see exactly where you are with your heart rate. Each sensor is customized to you directly based on your age, sex, weight and height. It gives you a maximum heart rate percentage and it's catagorized by colors.. red being at 90%+ of your maximum allowed heart rate, which is where you want to be for maximum results during your workouts. I always still have my Apple Watch running just to keep my activity rings engaged, but the MyZone is more accurate and makes it more fun as you can see everyone's numbers up on the monitor which helps challenge you to either keep up or try harder. Alex, Michelle, Justin, Victoria, Nico... remember these names because these guys will push you, break you, motivate and drive you towards success. At the end, they'll be right there with you at the finish line. At the front-desk you'll likely be greeted by a charming and cheerful receptionist, either Aurora or Yarenzia. I have been training with Alex for almost a year and I'm very happy with my experience. I have always been an active person. I use to do my own work-outs at home when my kids were young and the TV and work-out tapes were the best way to squeeze in a work-out. Then I "upgraded" to the gym and doing my own routine work-outs, with a little help from trainers at the gym now and then. Later I was introduced to a trainer by a friend who offered to share him. And decided this was a good way to go. He was not bad but he did not take many things into account when figuring out the work-outs (i.e. age). He seemed a little too focused on himself and not a lot of time and interest was given to our needs. Eventually, I opted out of this training and went back to doing my own. After a few years of doing my own thing I noticed Alex training other men & women. I watched with interest for over a year wanting to make sure not to get into another situation that would not work for me in the long run. There was one woman in particular that I got to know when we bumped into each other at the gym. I was so impressed with her transformation that I decided to give Alex a try. I am so glad that I finally did because the workouts are truly focused on my needs. He initially asks a lot of questions to learn more about your particular needs. This is not a one size fits all training session. Alex tailors the work-outs to the individual needs of his clients - this I found most impressive. The woman who I watched over a year lose a lot of weight and recover from a bad back injury was doing some very impressive heavy lifting when I finally decided to start working out with Alex. Alex makes the work-outs fun because he is so personable and we have good conversation about many topics. It gets to the point that I'm not always watching the clock because I'm enjoying the conversation. Alex doesn't miss a beat either he keeps you on target and focused on the task at hand while he pauses during conversation to remind you how to breathe, stand, squat or keep going to finish on time. I began my fitness journey about 2 years ago when I came across Elite Spartans. I had heard all of the hype about cross-fit and I tried it out, but I ended up getting injured. The back injury I suffered from made me think I wouldn't be able to workout hard again. Then I heard from one of my co-workers about Alex and his ability to help people recover from severe back injuries, so I gave him a try. I knew that I wanted to see results, but no matter how often I pushed myself to hit the gym it wasn't happening because of my injury. Alex's organization is the best thing that has ever happened to me. With Elite Spartans I learned that the journey to fitness is just as important as the results and I've been able to heal from my injury. Alex allowed me to take my time to build strength in my core and relieve a lot of the stress in my back and introduced me to kettle bells, along with a variety of other techniques and tools like dynamax balls, battle ropes, plyometrics, and an unthinkable amount of ways to utilize a bosu! Every workout has been different, and it has been almost 2 years! The diet plans that Alex gives are also very practical and easy to follow, and enable me to live a lifestyle of health rather than binge diet and fall into old habits. It has been about 2 years now that I have struggled to try and lose some weight that I have put on. I felt that I had tried it all! From going to the gym on my own to meeting with different trainers, nothing had worked. A friend of mine posted a transformation photo of herself on social media and I was amazed by the results. I reached out to her and she advised me to get in touch with Alex and stated that I would not regret it. Alex has been such an amazing person from the moment I walked in for my evaluation up until today. He not only listened to my goals, but has worked with me to begin to reach them. It is such an amazing feeling to walk into my sessions every week and see that I keep progressing in such a positive way. I have been driving past Elite Spartans for the past 18 years and never mustered up the courage to walk in. The name fooled me into thinking that this was a gym that had a cult like environment and I just did not want to have such an experience. How wrong I was!! I needed to get back to the gym after many years of trying to get healthy through virtual programs or app based workouts. I was looking for accountability and reached out to Elite Spartans earlier this year because their online reviews were just that good! I was instantly met with the nicest people anyone could ask for. This is a very genuine lot and I always believe that the work environment and what it espouses always starts with its leadership. Alex is a super super nice human and so unassuming. I never used to feel the urge to work out in the mornings until I started my journey with Elite Spartans. It's quite remarkable considering I had tried many gyms in the past but couldn't stick to one. As a member, your task is simple - just sign up and show up for class. The trainers make sure to push you and help you sweat in ways you wouldn't imagine! The classes are very well-structured. The Bootcamps focus on cardio with HIIT, while the Weightlifting classes focus on building strength. You rotate between multiple stations, which helps keep you engaged throughout the class. Even though these are group classes, the trainers make sure to check and correct each person's form to avoid injuries. They also suggest alternatives, making the class inclusive for everyone. Most trainers even know you by name, adding a personal touch to the workout process. There's also a positive community vibe among members that helps you push yourself. I have personally benefited greatly from being a regular member. Periodic health metrics monitoring helps me calibrate my workouts to reach my goals. I joined Elite Spartans a year ago since I wanted to make a change in my life and get healthier. Even though I was nervous to go to my first class, the place was very welcoming and their trainers really took their time to get to know you. All their trainers are amazing and they push you to do your best and more. Their classes (bootcamp & weightlifting) are extremely well structured and organized, which was something I was looking for as a beginner. They also mix up the exercises so you are always doing the same thing every time you go. They also offer to take your measurements weekly, which I found extremely beneficial. I have been getting my measurements done weekly ever since joining and it has helped me understand my body more, figure out if my current habits are working or not, and motivate me to keep improving. Because of this gym, I've felt physically and mentally better. I have been able to fit into old shirts I never thought would fit me again and I don't find myself as fatigued as I used to be. This place has pushed me to levels that I thought I would never reach. They have helped me reach my fitness goals and make new ones to keep pushing myself. When I tried to find some places other than a normal gym to start exercising this summer, I came across Elite Spartans in my search results. I took my chance because here, people exercise together as a class, and not just some individuals doing casual practising. The motivation and discipline are higher than in a normal gym, so it's perfect for me because I'm pretty lazy on my own. Since the day I came here, I simply made the most out of it and practiced every day. I've learned classes from coach Corina, Victoria, Alex (the last of whom is the founder of Elite Spartan), and many other trainers who are very supportive and will guide you every step of the way. So, with that said, I highly recommend Elite Spartan as a great starting point for your journey to fitness. They will always offer you a one-month trial before registering for membership, so you'd always have a chance to try out and see if the classes are good for you! P/s: If you barely worked out before starting at Elite Spartan, I highly recommend you take some Weightlifting classes before taking the Bootcamp class. HANDS DOWN Elite Spartans is amazing all the way around!! Their instructors don't play!! I took a class and the instructor known as "The Ninja" kicked my booty! He had my body dripping tears of sweat! When I wanted to quit he kept pushing us. The gym itself is well organized, clean and they have tons, I mean tons of equipment! The staff is very friendly, greeted me with a hello and smile as soon as I stepped in their doors, I received a tour and was surprised to ind that they even had to bathrooms and two showers!! Most studios like this don't offer showers! I also met the owner Alex who took the time to correct my kettle bell swing and its form and he didn't embarrass me while doing it. LOVE IT! Alex is a great trainer! I see him 3x a week for a personal one on one & WOW it's intense! In a good way!! He definitely challenges my limits and takes me to the next level. The workouts are always different and always make me think "HE'S CRAZY". But it just adds to the satisfaction when I accomplish it! Right away I felt the difference in my body. Every workout I feel myself getting stronger and stronger. Best of all, I feel stronger at work and in my day to day activities and I love it! I would recommend Alex to anyone!! They were my first structured Bootcamp, I really enjoyed this experience. I've learned how to eat and what not to eat and now I enjoy exercise for the first time in my life! It is truly an amazing place to work out. The entire team of personal trainers are there to help you achieve your goals, everybody motivates each other it's a fun group. I joined to lose weight and tone up for my sister's wedding coming up in September and to support her in her weight loss journey for her big day of course! I have lost 6 pounds in a month and a half and I'm really excited to see more results! I attend Miguel's 7 pm sessions and I love how he is always so positive and encouraging! If you are looking for the right place to get in shape, I could not recommend Elite Spartans enough. I have had a great experience with several of their well qualified trainers, whom they cycle through in order to utilize all of their diverse skill sets. The workouts are tough but the staff makes time fly by as calories are burning. Alex is the definition of what a great business owner should be. He is friendly and always willing to help out. Each and every time I walk in, I am greeted by Aurora and Destiny who are always smiling, cheerful and ready to have a conversation. All I can say is WOW! Alex is the best and most knowledgeable trainer I've ever come across. I've been an athlete my whole life, playing competitive tennis for 50 years and running outdoors for many years. I developed issues with my hips, and Alex knew exactly how to alleviate my painful symptoms while building strength in my core and legs. His sessions are a BLAST! I actually look forward to having a ton of fun with Alex in the gym, as he has a great personality and interesting ways to workout my muscles. How does it feel when your doctor tells you that the results of your blood test was a "no-hitter" (like in baseball)? FANTASTIC!!! I've been training with Alex for more than 3 years now and all I can say is I'm very happy and pleased with the results. Check out his website (elitespartans.net) and see my "before and after" picture - need I say more. I've lost at least half of my figure. Losing weight is not easy and maintaining it is even more challenging. Alex has helped me achieve both. I initially joined Elite Spartans through a 21 Day Challenge in October. They communicated through email and gave very specific instructions on how to schedule classes. After the challenge, I decided to sign up for the 3x per week membership. The trainers here are all incredible! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and offer plenty of options for those who need modifications. I love that each of the boot camp classes are designed to challenge you, and that I get to use a number of fitness "toys" throughout the classes. Though every class is different (you'll never get bored), I can tell that I am gaining power and strength in my ability to sprint, do battle ropes, slams, etc. I made the decision to join not only when I saw a change in my body composition but when I witnessed the encouraging and motivating atmosphere created by the staff and all of the members! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Alex. He really knows his stuff. I was introduced to Alex by a friend that had been training with him. To see her transformation in a short period of time was truely inspirational. I decided to set up an evaluation session with Alex to see if he would be able to work with me even though I had a bulging disc that would pinch on my sciatica nerve as well has knee issues. He knew exactly what we needed to do to relieve the pressure on my back. Needless to say 8months later I am still training with Alex, my back is almost 100% and I've been able to get mobility back in my knees and can now do lunges & squats without struggle. It's one thing to have an emergency and reach out to potential clients that are signed up to notify them, but the no notice ghosting on a business's end is strange. People make arrangements, plan their day, and drive miles to get a workout and to be met with an empty gym was sad. Thankfully I received my credit back via ClassPass but if I hadn't proactively reached out I would've been charged for a no show/late show.

My only regret was that I wasn't able to continue moving forward after completion of the 6-week program due to my teaching and work schedule getting busier. However, I'm incredibly grateful for my experience at X-Treme Athletics. I thoroughly enjoyed the jumpstart program, and I saw positive results. I felt stronger, I looked more toned, and my agility was back to the level it was pre-pandemic. I've never done Cross Fit before, which was intimidating at first, but by the end of the program I was keeping up at a great pace. The workouts are always different with a mix of lifting, cardio, and gymnastics. I love the friends I've made, and it's such a wonderful gym family! I also love Sarah's noon classes (my go to class). There are a lot of options for class times and an olympic lifting class on Sundays from 10-11:30am, so even if I can't make a weekday class, I can still work out on the weekend. On Saturdays, we usually do a longer partner work out.
