He consistently took extra time to help me ease into strength training and thoughtfully address areas of pain, always in an encouraging and respectful way. Didn't expect to write an update so soon, but Micah's training is so good that he deserves another shout-out. I finally did my first pull up, (though assisted, but I'll take the small win). Sue Davis is an expert in how to modify exercises to continue strength training to support all my aching joints after a big injury. I have been training with Sue for 3 months and notice how much easier I move now, like I am 10 years younger. What I really like about Method 3 is that everyone is over 50 so I feel less self conscious about all the special modifications. Even the music playlist is familiar to include all our favorite jams from the 80s and 90s. The coaches at Method3 Fitness are all great but Stephanie Rebagliati deserves a special shout out! As an older woman I was nervous about doing a strength training program. Stephanie guided me though preparation for my knee replacement surgery so I would be as strong as possible and then coached me, in tandem with my Physical Therapist, to recovery very quickly. Whether it was adjusting an exercise in the group class, a semi-private class or in a private session, I always felt safe and supported. The trainers challenge her, but are mindful about making accommodations for her conditions like Miniere's Disease and knee issues. I workout in a small group 3x/wk with Sue Davis, as I have for many years. Sue has helped me get in shape, stay in shape even as I get older. Now in my mid 70s, my fitness level, strength, agility, balance, endurance and BMI are better than decades ago. Sue has modified the workouts to help me through back pain, wrist surgery and a foot fracture enabling me to keep up my fitness level. I have to do a shout out to Sue Davis at Method 3 Fitness. I started my journey with Sue back in 2015. I decided I needed to get in shape to get ready for extensive travel when I retired. I was in semi-private classes for years and enjoyed working out with others. Sue tailored the classes to our abilities and made sure we got in a good workout 2-3 times per week. When the pandemic came along, Sue set up zoom classes and provided a list of dumbbells and other equipment we could use at home. Classes continued and we stayed fit! That was amazing. Then I had some medical issues - hammer toe surgery, meniscus surgery, hand surgery and then another toe surgery. I moved to private training with Sue and again did zoom classes until I received the ok's to get back to the gym. I am just getting where I can resume the higher weights and more cardio. Sue has been exceptional support to get me back to regular workouts, ensuring I do not over do it or wimp out and take it too easy. I am in great shape for being 71 thanks to Sue. I can still hoist myself up onto the back seat in the Safari jeep and hope to still do that when I am 81.
