Before I started with paragon body

I have been training with Callaway and getting nutrition consultations from Brianna for the last 3 months. It's been hard and it hasn't been easy but my body has seen major gains from sticking to my diet and keeping up with the intense workouts. Callaway is great. He pushes me to my limit and encourages me to push harder. He's also a funny guy. He will lie to you through. When you think you are finished with a set, he will add 2 more. Brianna - has been giving me to correct nutrition to supplement my intense workout. She's been great at getting me the right portion and foods that I enjoy.

If you are like me and have been intimidated by the thought of going to a gym, not knowing what you are doing and having muscle bound humans sneering at the newbie, then you need to meet Jordan, Callaway and Niko at Paragon Body to lay your fears to rest. You could not imagine more friendly, knowledgable, encouraging and plain nice people. At 52 years old, my results have been incredible in a very short couple of months. I have lost substantial weight, I am off medications, I have incredible energy, and my self-confidence in how I present to the world is back. I highly recommend Jordan and his team to anyone who wants to know more about getting fitter. Whether you just want to drop a few pounds, feel better in yourself or go for a complete transformation, Paragon Body has the knowledge and program tailored for you!!

Before and after. Focused a lot on my legs and glutes

I spent about two decades in front of the computer, either studying or working, or both…read more Over time, the lack of movement got me more and more disconnected from my body, and I felt a bit depressed that I was no longer as active as I used to be. So I tried different physical activities - yoga spoke to me the most. It's wasn't just a workout at a gym, it was bigger than that. As I practiced more, I'd come to realize that physical aspect of yoga was a door to emotional and mental health, a path to a better life. Three years ago, I committed myself to regular practice with BRIGHT HEART yoga studio, and I've kept my promise. Today, I feel healthier, stronger and more energetic. I like being outdoors, and the physical competence I've acquired over these last three years makes my experience so much more enjoyable. Today I am who I wanted to be. I worry less and I do more. It's not something that happens to you overnight. It's what you create. Don't wait for tomorrow, start today.

The 10 pack of classes was around $35 and the 1 month unlimited classes was $30 if I remember correctly - both great deals. Moving forward I think membership will be around $80 (?) for unlimited classes every month, which is still totally affordable if you plan on going often. (: If you're strapped for cash, I believe there are community classes once a week for maybe $5-$10. So far I have taken Saturday 9 AM class with Patricia, and Monday and Tuesday 6 AM (woof!) classes with Tracy and Dave. I am so pleased with the class size (small), location (5 min. drive from my house), heat (around 78 degrees?), and friendliness (the instructors are great!). All three teachers have been fabulous about pointing out adjustments to improve my practice, explaining different positions according to levels of students, and helping push me further into my lunges and stretches. I love hands-on personalized instruction, and you can find that here! At the end of class when you are laying down and meditating, you get a damp, cool washcloth that smells like lavender to put over your eyes and wipe down. Especially for the early morning classes, I love that you arrive in the dark, and flow into the morning, with the sun rising and shining in greeting in your face by the end of class. I'm still adjusting to waking up at 5-something, but I feel so positive and centered for the rest of the day -- the struggle is worth it! Check this place out.

I was really disappointed with my first experience at Hot 8 Yoga in Santana Row…read more I booked the 5:45 p.m. class through ClassPass and unfortunately arrived late. Since it was my first time at this location, I accidentally parked in the wrong parking area and had difficulty finding the studio. I even tried calling while I was looking for it but no one answered my call. I completely understand that arriving late was my responsibility, and I understand that studios have policies regarding late entry. When I finally arrived, I apologized and explained what had happened. I was told that because I was past the five-minute grace period, I could not enter the class. When I walked out and checked my phone, it was 5:51 p.m. I accepted that I had missed the class and left. What really disappointed me was that once I got back to my car, I checked ClassPass and saw that Hot 8 Yoga had another class at 6:30 p.m. I wish the staff had simply said, "Unfortunately, we can't let you into this class, but we do have another class at 6:30 if you'd like to stay." That small gesture would have completely changed my experience. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and as though there was no interest in helping me, especially knowing that this was my first visit and that I had genuinely been trying to find the studio. I understand enforcing a policy, but customer service is also about how you treat someone when something goes wrong. My ClassPass credits were ultimately returned, which I appreciate, although I was still charged a cancellation fee. My frustration isn't about being denied entry after arriving late--I take responsibility for that. It's about the lack of effort to offer an alternative when another class was starting only 39 minutes later. Unfortunately, for a first-time customer, the interaction left me feeling like I wasn't wanted there, and it definitely discouraged me from wanting to return.

The new studio is beautiful, super clean, and the facilities are great. Every instructor I've taken has been kind, motivating, and welcoming. I especially love the Reformer classes and Hot Pilates. I feel genuinely challenged in both and have really enjoyed the workouts here. My only complaint is the grip sock pricing. I forgot mine and figured I'd just buy a pair at the studio, which normally isn't a big deal. Their YogaSource branded grip socks were $27 and some change, which honestly surprised me. They felt pretty thin and inexpensive for something that costs almost $30. They also had a few pairs from SOULS, so I ended up getting those instead for the same price. Those at least felt like really nice quality socks that I'll use for a long time, although I believe they normally retail for around $20 elsewhere. Obviously forgetting my socks was on me, and I don't mind paying a little extra for the convenience of buying something at a studio. I just think almost $30 is a pretty steep markup for grip socks, especially the studio branded ones given the quality. So learn from my mistake and BRING YOUR GRIP SOCKS Or grab yourself a nice pair somewhere else beforehand. Other than that, I've had a really positive experience here. Beautiful studio, great instructors, challenging classes, and a really nice facility. I just wish the grip sock pricing was a little more reasonable!

I know Bikram has thousands and thousands of followers, but i don't believe the hype. There's no proof that any of the 26 poses really do anything like the claims (helping with inflammation, digestion, curing diseases, resolving spinal injuries). Locking your knees is NOT good at all, either. That's one of my biggest issues with Bikram. You are allowed to modify, but are supposed to lock those knees. That's never wise. This studio has such nice teachers-- but it wasn't for me. They don't want you to leave early, and will send a "volunteer" to follow you out if it happens. I know they want to make sure you're okay (and not doing anything wrong when no one is up front)but the instructors need to back off. They don't grasp the concept that many people need a break or need to leave the class early. The heat can be very dangerous if you're not careful. Don't let them keep you if it's too difficult. Leave! Another issue is the horrid smell of the hospital grade flooring. It stinks. This is hot yoga. It's no surprise. But with so many classes-- back to back-- when is Bikram SJ getting it clean and disinfected? How often and by who?? The stench was vile. The locker rooms are too small and also had a bad smell. The lockers themselves wouldn't work, too. Broken keypads. Dirty floor. Again, every instructor here is super kind-- but Bikram is very "clicky". Cult like. They swear by it and it's their right, but i don't get it. It's not a gentle yoga-i think it can do long term damage, especially to the knees. BYSJ is also super expensive. I paid for a few drop ins but wouldn't go back. $1900 for a year? I think $700 for 10 or 15 drop ins? No way! I know it's wealthy Silicon Valley, but the "average" person cannot afford this studio. I think everyone here is super friendly, but it's expensive and by far not the cleanest hot yoga studio I've visited. I've been to many.
