some of the insutrctors are helpful, some arent, i also wish they had some mats they only seem to have one or two maybe they have some elsewhere, but because they expect you to warm up or stretch on the hard concrete where everyone walks its a bit painful on my old knees :). all the weights are often sweaty wish people would wipe down thats kind of a common curtesy in other gyms, people just need to use a towel and actually wipe and lay it down, it was really gross to get to the squat rack and have a wet warm bar.....ugh, i mean at my gym people wipe down before/after. if anyone has a disease we all have it now haha. and they are extremely nice enough to provide towels which i think it amazing. just my opinion/experience. I think its ok but I just might try something different or harder and classes are crowded for me i went to one that was quite full and didnt get any individual help, but another class I went to was better, again i think its 1-2 specific instructor can be less attentive/not helpful and 1 or 2 that are. read more

As someone with very limited gym experience, I was intimidated by the classes offered by the studio. The crossfit-style of each class seemed intimidating and I had no idea if I was able to do any of the workouts. However, Lavonte and Corey have been amazing at introducing me to the workouts and correcting my form. Even though the classes have around 20-30 people, they are attentive and walk around every station to ensure everyone is doing each move properly. I can confidently say F45 truly caters to people of all levels, and I recommend everyone to give it a try! read more

I highly recommend F45 Training in Cupertino to my friends and family. All of the coaches there are amazing, encouraging, friendly, helpful, and professional. I enjoyed going there about 5-6 times per week. The classes were fun, challenging, and functional. ---Anh read more

I had no idea I was walking into a special Hyrox class or what that meant. But no one ever made me feel like I shouldn't be there. Jeff and Corey were extremely nice and supportive. I really appreciated Corey checking in with me and giving me feedback on form (which I don't always get at classes)! Everyone who takes the class is super nice and just great vibes all around! I would definitely go again! The Hyrox class is definitely more intense than the regular f45 classes, but they always reassured me to take breaks and pace myself, which I appreciated! read more

I signed up for the 21 day trial back in August. I had a trip pre-planned in between the trial dates, but Martin, the owner was flexible and nice to help manually adjust the end date for me. All the trainers were nice and helpful, but if it's your first time going to the gym, it might take some getting used to. The studio itself is definitely smaller than I expected, but it's enough. There's two restrooms in the front "lobby" area - one of them has a shower stall, and another restroom in the training room. The water fountain is hidden in the corner, slightly covered by the equipment. There was no staff at the "front desk"/entrance my first time there, so I was slightly confused about what to do for like, 5 minutes. I'm not sure if they usually have people sitting at the front since I only saw someone there 50% of the time. Exercise - I love that they change the workouts so that you'll never get bored. Each instructor has their own style too, so it was pretty fun going to different classes. I managed to complete 12 classes within the 3 weeks of trial. read more

Can I leave another review just to reiterate how much I love this place? The staff here are SO welcoming, and the trainers really give 100% in trying to be accommodating, thorough during the workouts, and motivating. I have made a few friends in coming to these classes, the gym really strives to create a community and they do an excellent job at doing just that. Beyond the people and the ambiance, the workouts themselves are absolutely great. Each one will kick your butt in a new creative way, and you will never be bored or disappointed. So get your butt over to this gym and try it out if you haven't already! They do offer week trials at a very good price (something around $20-$25). read more

The instructors here are super friendly and attentive! I appreciate that the instructors walk around and correct your form, which is not always the case with other F45 locations. I'm a long-distance runner who needs a regular strength-training program in order to prevent injuries at my age. Although I was considering Orange Theory Fitness thanks to a recommendation from a friend, I saw the F45 ads on Facebook and I decided to try them out as well. Long story short, I chose F45 because the workout program is more complete and more challenging. They meet all of my requirements for a good training program, including non-judgmentalism, options for different fitness levels, strong encouragement from trainers, and basic gym cleanliness. The duration of each workout is a bit shorter than I'm used to, but that's great because the actual workout is more intense and I don't feel shortchanged by it. And thus far, the cost is pretty reasonable, too. There is no workout program that fits the needs of everyone, but for people like me, F45 really fit the bill, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a great core, strength, and HIIT routine. read more

The workouts are awesome and I love how F45 lays out the workout. Resistance day is my favorite and Mike and Ione are a great pairing, my favorite trainers. Mike lights up the room and he's super funny while Ione is excellent at correcting form and making me feel confident. On cardio days I like Anita and Justine. Anita is excellent and helpful and Justine is a sweetheart. So fun to be around her! Other trainers tend to be too much and expect us to get everything right at once. I am out of breath, dying, give me space instead of keep repeating the same thing over and over again and expect me to get everything right when I am learning the move. It's intimidating. Be friendly, understanding and help me to change one thing at a time, please!! The fact that this gym is not overcrowded is another plus. The right amount of people in the mornings. read more

F45 Training - Cupertino - I love that this studio is not overcrowded. - Circuit Training Gyms Near Me - Cupertino, California

After over a year of COVID and really really missing working out with people and in a studio, I decided to get back into it and joined F45 Cupertino! I've been to other F45's before, but this one is the best one yet! The main reason is that Mike (the head coach/trainer) is AMAZING. He is so genuine in wanting to help people get better AND he keeps class entertaining and fun. I've never felt like I was being judged or criticized, even though he corrects my form throughout class, I still felt like I was being supported. The whole community is pretty great. In my personal experience, I've never sensed like anyone was "better than" or gives off ego. Lastly, the price point is pretty affordable compared to other studios (and I've checked out MANY different studios during my 2.5 years in the Bay Area). IF there were anything I'd critique - and this is being really nit picky - it would be that the classes can sometimes be packed and it's not a huge space. And last thing is that sometimes it can feel like your body is "used to" the exercises, so you have to intentionally up-level and challenge yourself. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out at the very least! read more

Been going to F45 for a week now. Started with their free trial which ends in February btw. Their trials will be 7 days long and will cost $20 which IMO is fair given how amazing these workouts are. I have been to Mike, Damaris and Dax's classes only so far and their classes are enough to convince me that is a gym worth joining. Mike is very attentive and professional. I am glad that he corrects our form when we are doing it wrong especially in his Strength classes. Damaris is cheerful and also very helpful. Dax is motivating and inspirational and the perfect coach for cardio days. I really like their format of having two coaches in each class since the class gets kinda busy some days(15-20 people). The workout itself is fun and makes you leave the gym with a smile and sweat on your face. I am used to their cardio style classes that most other gyms so I am really glad that I did my muscles some good by going to their Strength class. Been sleeping really good cause of these workouts. F45 sets up the stations or pods for you to move between every 45 or 35 seconds and they are numbered and the trainers make the whole process so easy to understand. They are doing a great job. I live in N.Jose so this location is a bit of a pain to get to in peak traffic hours but I have still been making their 7pm class cause that's how amazing it is. If you live closer or work closer, look no further and try them out for a month and see the difference yourself! read more

This is a great gym right in Cupertino. A welcoming place for any fitness level and any age. Encouraging coaches, easy parking, plenty of classes. Glad I found this group. read more

What I love about F45 is that it is a highly efficient workout that gets me out of bed 4-5 times a week so I can live my best life. It is a fun mix of lifting and cardio that is best described as the offspring of crossfit and orange theory. You can come and work out, not feel the pressure of developing workout buddies for life, but you always get that friendly, motivating greetings and push from the coaches. Anyone can do it, whether you're new to working out or super fit. Everything can scale up or down. Best feeling is filling your exercise ring for the day by the morning and looking and feeling better. I love that my fitness level is at a point where I can play sports with my kids and not feel winded or well past my prime. read more

I've been attending f45 classes for around ~ 8 weeks now and really enjoy the format and trainers. I like how different days focus on different areas (I.e strength , cardio, hybrid) so that you can plan your week and off-days accordingly. The classes are well staffed and there is a lot of attention to form which I really appreciate since there is usually a weights/ barbell/kettlebell component that I'm less familiar with. The trainers (mike + damaris) are super personable remember your name, and are willing to help you before class which, always impressed me! read more

Highly recommend F45 studio, Cupertino location. Coach Lavonte and Coach Corey are passionate about correcting the form and making a difference. I am a beginner with weight training. I am truly thankful for all their advice and encouragement. They carefully monitor the progress and suggest alternatives as required. I've been a diehard Orange Theory person for the last 3 years, but lately have been lookIng to incorporate more strength training. It's hard to do in OTF as a decent portion of the workout is cardio based, so I've been exploring some complimentary workouts to help me reach my goals. I decided to try out F45 as I've been seeing marketing for this strength focused workout and was super pleased. The workout itself was a huge departure from what I was used to with OTF (there were no treads at all and the rowers were not part of the template for the day). There was some overlap with movements that I was used to with OTF, but the majority of the workout was using movements and equipment that I didn't have access to in OTF. Also the go go go nature of the 45 minute template kept my heart rate up like I hadn't experienced in OTF in a while. If you're looking for something to compliment a cardio workout (OTF, running, biking, etc.) and want some well guided and well structured workouts definitely check out F45. If you're looking to kickoff a fitness plan and want something with great trainers and workout plans, check out F45. If you're just curious about what this is, CHECK OUT F45. There's a 1 week unlimited trial period that you can sign up for which will give you a great flavor for the variety of classes and themes (the template changes every day) as well as to try out all the coaches. read more

I've been going to OrangeTheory for a while and while I like it -- it's mainly a cardio workout and lacks strength training. F45 kind of slots between hardcore CrossFit and OrangeTheory in my opinion. The workouts at F45 are great and there is a ton of variety not just in exercises but equipment too. For new people, you can easily pace yourself or scale to your level so don't worry about your first class. The programming has strength and cardio built in on specific days which is very cool. Classes are a fast 45 minutes with the exception of the Saturday class which is 60 minutes and a mix of cardio and strength training. What I like particularly about the Cupertino F45 is the coaching. They are top notch and help you get the most out of the exercises. I also like how they take the stretching routine at the end seriously. It's not an afterthought. Overall I'm really happy that F45 is now in our area. I highly recommend F45 and the Cupertino one in particular. Also, they are liberal with free one week trials. read more

I was very sedentary throughout the pandemic, but F45 Cupertino helped me get back on track. While it is pricey compared to normal gyms, it is worth it as it's difficult to find a better price for quality group fitness classes. The instructors help correct form throughout the class, which really adds value as typically you would have to pay a personal trainer to learn how to do resistance exercises with good form. Mike and Damaris remember members by name, which is impressive considering the number of members at the studio. Highly recommended! :) read more

I have been coming pretty regularly since this gym first opened. I was tired of going to a regular gym and having to figure out what work out to do that day. I like F45 because you show up and your workout is planned for you. It's like personal training with a group. The workouts are always different so there is enough variety that you don't get bored. The best part... the workout is only 45 minutes! But it's a challenging 45 minutes because you set your own limits. As someone who has always done team sports and conditioning this type of workout feels right. And as a competitive person, paired with the optional heart rate monitor, the group aspect pushes me to work harder. The first couple weeks can feel like a shock both mentally and physically, but if you keep at it you will get used to the HIIT training and it becomes fun. The trainers have all been positive and friendly and make an effort to get to know you. They motivate you, guide you and make sure you don't hurt yourself. read more

Still a great place but the head trainer is no longer there. (Sad face). One minor feedback I had is the trainer sometimes assigns you to be with 2 other people when there is only line 8 people in class, and it can put you in an awkward situation when you're trying to socially distance and not want to be placed elbow-to-elbow with others. It's more ideal to keep it the same as before giving clients the option to socially distance as they please and not be placed near others, if possible and choose their own spot (whenever it's not full). read more

I've been going to F45 for over a year now in LA and was so excited to see a studio pop up in Cupertino. I can't say enough good things about the owner, the trainers and the people that work out at the Cupertino location. Everyone is so welcoming! I have gained a lot of weight in last couple years and I realized 24 Hour Fitness was not enough to burn off my stubborn fat. My boyfriend introduced me to F45 and guess what, it was the best workout i have ever done in my life!! I usually don't like group exercises but F45 was different. The workouts are well-organized and different every day so you can never get sick of it. They workout every part of your body and make you sweat like crazy! I was nervous to go in the first day by myself but coach Damaris and Mike introduced me to the whole class and made me feel super welcome! They are super professional, friendly, funny, and sweet and will guide you through every single workout. The location is great and has plenty of parking in the parking lot as well. This review is for the outdoor classes, which started 2-3 months ago. I was a huge fan of Orangetheory and was very disappointed when the studios closed because of Covid. I knew Mike who was their best coach moved to F45 a few years ago, but never tried F45 pre-Covid. Well, couldn't do OTF on zoom anymore and came to try out F45. What a great surprise! this has been the best thing I've done in 2020. The workouts are in the parking lot, it's protected, clean. They have lots of equipment and keep it clean. variety of weights, not a dull moment. There are cardio days and strength days. I thought weights aren't for me. too much of jumping and HIIT isn't for me. I was wrong. I LOVE it. part of it is the great coaches they have there (Mike and Damaris) who truly care about the people. They correct form, modify exercises and push you (gently) towards your goals. The other part is the variety. classes are different, lots of things that you wouldn't do otherwise + lots of good core exercises and good foundations. I've been there for the last 2-3 months and never felt stronger. I've been going to OTF for 2 years, it's not the same. F45 is what I needed, I just didn't know it. Mike and Damaris are trying to do their best with this Covid situation and are very creative about keeping these classes safe but interesting. Give it a try, nothing to lose. Don't get scared if everything looks hard at the beginning. you'll get there! I am really happy I started going, and very thankful for this wonderful team. read more

This F45 is one of the best gyms and workouts I've ever been to, and I've tried them all (Equinox, CrossFit, Flywheel, etc...)! Facility/Customer Service: The facility is brand new and incredibly clean with great equipment and shower facilities. Both the owner and the trainers are extremely attentive, friendly and helpful in getting set up and in making sure everyone is doing the exercises correctly. I've been to a few F45 locations and this one was by far the most high quality in terms of the facility and customer service. The Workout: F45 (short for Functional 45) combines strength training with cardio on an alternating basis in 45-min classes. The workouts are hard, but you can go at your own pace and the trainers help you to push yourself. I love the efficiency - you're in, you know exactly what to do, and you leave with great results. The best part is that the workouts are enjoyable and go by really quickly - and I've never seen results as quickly as when I started going to F45 consistently. You get the most out of the gym when you sign up for a membership (it's worth the money) and go to classes consistently. If you're debating signing up, I can't encourage you enough to do so! read more

All around great whole body workout with friendly people, amazing encouraging trainers. Been going 6-7 days a week for 2 months and am always impressed with the quality. Due to covid-19 it is only outside classes again, but despite that, Mike and Demaris bring out all kinds of weights and equipment to make fun and challenging workouts in the garage structure that is clean and dry. This year has been very difficult in many ways for us all! Having the opportunity of exercising in a safe and friendly environment has been a blessing, not only for the body but also for the soul! For each class, they go out of their way to setup all the equipment outside and take the necessary precautionary measures to maintain a safe environment! The outdoor setting is clean and fun for workouts. The club is superb from ownership to coaches and staff! For many years I have tried different gyms. Coach Mike, is by far one of the best and most knowledgeable trainers I have seen. Even though these are group classes, he is always mindful to be present and correct mistakes and motivate everyone to do better! What is even more exciting is that for the past few months coach Damaris has also been training us. She is also very knowledgeable and fun to work with. She too is a star!! It's easy to tell that they are both super passionate about their work in helping others achieve the desired results. read more

So lucky to have found F45. As someone who has difficulty committing to regular workouts and hates taking classes which are often crowded exercises get boring over time, it's hard to stay motivated to exercise. The pandemic only exacerbated the issue. After 15 months of quarantine with little exercise and a sedentary job, my fitness was at an all time low. I really needed to find the motivation and F45 was the answer. What I love of about F45: - Really great mix of both cardio and strength training. - Full body workout. I worked out muscles I don't think I've every worked before. -Everything is planned, organized and managed for you. You just show up. Exercises, equipment, timing is set and you just focus on working out, nothing else. - So much variety. Every class really is different. I didn't really believe it until I experienced it. As someone who gets really bored of routine exercise, this keeps it fun and exciting. For this location in particular (Cupertino-Vallco): - The coaches are great! Coach Mike and Coach Damaris bring a wealth of experience and knowledge. They are encouraging and always helpful with correcting form (esp. for a novice like me). - Many class choices. Classes are offered daily (no off days) both in the morning and in the evenings. Although I'm hoping more evenings (6pm or 7pm) will be added. As we start heading into the office, getting in for the 4:15 and 5:30 classes will become increasingly difficult. It's been just a few weeks since I've started. The first week was torture (in a good way) but since then, I've already experienced significant improvements in my strength and fitness and look forward to getting my health and fitness back on track. Thanks F45! And mostly thank you Coach Mike and Coach Damaris! read more

My husband and I joined F45 a couple of months ago. We were looking for a place that will be there to help us improve our health. While most gyms and group classes will surely provide it, what we love about this particular place is that they encourage you without judgment, the trainers provide alternatives and they also acknowledge the little successes you achieve. I am no gym rat and I am no athlete. While I've done yoga and barre exercises, I have no idea how to use any equipment or even know gym terminologies! But here, you feel welcome and allows you to be true to yourself (and what your body can and cannot do!). We really like the owner and the trainers. Specifically calling out Mike and Anita -- who will always help you with your form. They make sure that you are doing it right and they don't force you to do some exercises. I've been to places where they will call your name out to push you to your limit--thinking this is the best way to motivate you. But not for me. I like that they will modify if needed OR simply teach you how to do it correctly. I can't believe how much calories I burned in the days that I took the classes. Currently, I am doing 2-3x a week and I am hoping to increase it to 3-4x a week (sidenote: I can be lazy--but this place really motivates you to come. I am even scared of cardio days before, but now I suck it up and go!) 45 mins maybe a lot of time for other people. Fortunately, we are able to carve out this time in our day. Few cons (which I don't think necessitates for fewer stars) - The location is perfect BUT a bit small. It can get really crowded on Saturdays. But it is what it is. And the germaphobe in me also thinks that their mats and dumbells can use some cleaning. But I think it is up to us users to also do our part (use towels for heaven's sake and use some purell which are readily available!) Lastly--They changed the times for 2020. I wish they stuck with the old-time (5:30 pm and 6:30 pm) instead of moving it 30 mins later. Half an hour does make a huge difference. But oh well. I guess another sacrifice and adjustment on our end! Overall, I will recommend this place. It can be intensive BUT PLEASE believe me when I say, I am no health guru/fanatic, gym rat, athlete or whatnot. But this place will surely get you going and you do not need any experience. Beginners (like me) are always welcome! read more

10/10 workout with 10/10 staff. I started F45 in New Orleans a couple of months ago since I'm doing grad school there. I'm currently back home in the Bay Area for winter break, and was so happy to find out that a F45 opened nearby me! First off, the trainers/management are very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. I've taken 5 classes with Mike, and he is amazing. Very sweet down to earth guy. Even though I pay membership at my home studio in Nola, Mike let me use the 7 days for $70 at the F45 Vallco location. Second, the music is LIT!!! I'm all about hip hop & this location delivers. There's always a good mix of new remixes and some old school music to get down to. Very motivating and fun. Finally, the workout itself is so much fun. There are always new movements which keeps the workout varied and exciting. I also enjoy how it's about functionality and includes both strength + hiit. The trainers also make sure that you're doing everything safely and will correct your form when necessary. Definitely come check out this location, you won't regret it! read more
