I came to WARCAT around the end of April looking to improve my overall strength. At the time, I was practicing yoga 2-3x a week and had recently started working out at 24-Hour Fitness using a program I had purchased online. Bottom line: I wasn't seeing the results I wanted. Then came Jessica Do, the owner & a trainer at WARCAT. She convinced me to try personal training with a focus on building strength. It was my first time working with a personal trainer and lifting heavy weights. I absolutely loved it! Having a trainer helped me develop a good foundation I can build on. I also pushed myself way harder than I ever had before. Most importantly, I was finally getting results! It is important to remember that good habits aren't created overnight. It will take time, hard work and dedication to get the results you want, even when working with a trainer. Unfortunately, I recently moved out of state; therefore, I was only able to train for 4 months with Jess. However, those 4 months gave me what I needed to continue training on my own. I'm finishing up month 1 using what Jess taught me. I now feel confident in the gym, and I'm able to structure my own routines to get the results I want. Investing my time & money in personal training was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I would 100% recommend personal training at WARCAT. If you're just looking for a better gym, you will not be disappointed. It's very clean & spacious with all new equipment. I've never had to wait to use anything, and people actually wipe stuff down & put things back (what a concept). But the best part about it is the vibe. There's a real community feel to this gym. And it's not filled with creepers (ahem 24-Hour). Bonus: they also do fun stuff on the regular, so check our their IG. Definitely give WARCAT a try for yourself!

And here's yet another five-star review for WESTCA…read more Like a lot of people, I spend far too much time sitting behind a computer. After a few meager attempts to get into an exercise routine, it became clear I would need to pay someone to kick my proverbial butt on a regular basis. I was excited to find a gym with such consistently great reviews nearby, and WESTCA absolutely lives up to the hype. I have a decent amount of experience with lifting and resistance training, but I also have some physical limitations, so the semi-private training format has been perfect for me. It provides the structure and accountability I was looking for while still meeting me where I am in terms of experience, fitness level, and physical capability. I've been training with Ivan, who consistently brings good vibes. His instructions are clear, he's quick to adapt exercises around physical limitations when needed, and he progresses training safely and thoughtfully with encouragement along the way. Progress has been steady, and I love feeling stronger and more energetic. As many other reviewers have mentioned, WESTCA is a smaller gym with a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes it easy to stay consistent. If you're looking for a gym, WESTCA is an easy recommendation.

Anyway, there are three key things for me when it comes to a gym. First is cleanliness, second is shower facilities, third is equipment. AVAC is a relatively small gym and I tend to go at off hours. This means not many people, so thankfully it's very clean inside. If you think about a 24 Hour Fitness or similar, they have hundreds of people constantly working out, there's no way to uphold hygiene standards. AVAC, despite being small, has frequent cleanings happening, which is nice. The showers at AVAC are... okay. On the plus side, they provide towels, which is a dealbreaker for me. Who wants to bring their own towel to a gym? So that's a big convenience factor. The towels have been bleached and washed to the point they are marginally more absorbent than copy paper and quite rough, but I guess a towel is a towel. The showers themselves are workable but not ideal. Communal in nature, which I personally find awkward, but going at off hours at least allows me to have them to myself or only 1-2 others at most. If it was packed I'd probably wait, it's just too weird. The shampoo and body wash are not very high quality, kind of reminds me of what you'd get at a cheap motel. But again, at least it's there. I also don't want to cart my own soap around. For the gym's size, the equipment variety and quantity is good. I've never not been able to get a treadmill, I've always been able to get the free weights I want, and there are usually benches available. The only thing in short supplies are squat racks, of which there are two, and space for deadlifts, which is basically also two. I would say the gym's clientele leans towards... not people doing those types of exercise. So I haven't typically had to wait, but again I also don't go at peak hours. There are also tons of machines, if you're the type of person who thinks isolation exercises are good. Better than nothing I suppose, but that's just me. AVAC offers a lot of free classes, of which I've taken none. They also have a snack bar, which I've never used. There's also a pool (not the swim school pool which is like 2.5' high) and a kiddie pool outside, neither of which I've been in. And there are tennis courts and pickleball and some outdoor fitness area, which, you guessed it, I have never been to. I wouldn't say AVAC is a destination gym the way Bay Clubs are, but if you're closeby it's probably the best one around. They also have plenty of parking in back in two lots.

I wish this place is 24/7 but they open at 6AM on the weekend and it's never packed to the point where you have to wait, so it's a win-win. Service is impeccable. I love their protein smoothie bar. I have tried their recovery zone and can say I had a relaxing time getting my back and legs massaged while I read my book. It was dim and quiet, but I was by myself. Someone did go into the room to use the massage gun for a few then left. As part of my 2026 goal, I am trying to claw my way back to my old self. I will prioritize my health this year, so I will stop by the recovery room often to unwind in the quiet. One thing I noticed is that you are not supposed to film here but I still see people setting up their tripod and/or flat out filming themselves and their clients which is somewhat annoying, but other than that I have had no complaints here.

I would like to sincerely recognize Erika at VillaSport for her outstanding customer service…read more After a very frustrating earlier interaction, Erika took the time to carefully listen to our situation and thoroughly review all the documents we already had on file. She approached the issue with patience, professionalism, and genuine care, making sure she fully understood the details before providing guidance. She did not rely on assumptions or personal judgment, but instead followed a clear and consistent process. Because of her attentive and responsible approach, we were able to complete our membership registration smoothly and without further complications. What stood out most was her respectful and warm attitude toward my elderly father. She was kind, considerate, and even greeted him in Chinese, which made him feel truly welcomed and deeply moved. This small gesture had a big emotional impact on our family. Erika treated us with respect, trust, and dignity throughout the entire process. Her professionalism and empathy are exactly what customer service should look like. We are very grateful for her help and support.

One employee tells you one thing, another tells you something completely different, and no one takes responsibility when the information turns out to be wrong. This has happened to us several times, but today was the final straw. We are a family of four--two adults, an older child, and a baby. We've brought our baby to the pool several times without any issues. Then one day, we were suddenly stopped at the front desk and told the baby needed to be registered. That was completely reasonable, and we had no problem doing it. The problem was how it was handled. Our older child had already gone through the gate, while my husband had to come back because the baby and I weren't allowed in. We asked if we could at least go get our child first, but we were told no--we had to complete the registration before anyone could enter. Our family was split up, and our young child was left inside by herself. It was an incredibly stressful and unnecessary situation. We spent about 20 minutes filling out paperwork while standing there with a baby in a stroller. The employee repeatedly assured us that everything was taken care of and that we would never have to do it again. Two weeks later, we were stopped again. This time we were told that what we had completed wasn't even a registration--it was just a guest form. In other words, we had wasted 20 minutes because an employee gave us incorrect information, and now we were expected to start the entire process over again. No apology, no accountability, just more inconvenience for us. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how they're handled. At this facility, the burden always seems to fall on the customer, even when the mistake was entirely theirs. That was enough for us. We decided to cancel our membership and switch to the YMCA instead. We value businesses that respect their customers' time and take responsibility when they make mistakes. Unfortunately, this place has shown us neither.
