I have been coming to FITT60 for over a year, and I love it! It is the only weight training program that I have been able to consistently commit to, and finally see some results. Mike has designed it to be a 7 day program that targets all the essential aspects of healthy living if you can go everyday. MWSa are the strength days, TTh are the core days, F is a HIIT day, and Su isn't a stretch/mobility day. I typically just do the MWSa classes, so my review is based on those classes. HIGHLIGHTS: - 8 stations that target most major movements: squat, hip hinge, thruster, biceps/triceps, upper body push and pull - programs change every 4 weeks so it doesn't get boring and your muscles don't plateau - great community: everyone is friendly and happy to help! I've been attending FIIT60 for over a year now, and it has honestly changed my life. I was never particularly athletic, and after giving birth a few years ago my back pain really ramped up. A PT suggested I do strength training (nothing was really wrong, I was just weak), but I was worried about hurting my back further by doing things wrong. So I looked for a place with instruction and coaching, and found FIIT60. Mike has been such an incredible help! The first few months I needed a LOT of guidance and suggestions, but he was always there to correct my form an explain things clearly so I wouldn't hurt myself. Starting as a complete beginner was really daunting, but over time things became easier and I not only did I feel stronger, but my back hurt less, and I had more energy in general. I started attending more classes and after nearly a year I felt completely different from before. I'm still improving and learning because Mike knows how to increase the difficulty and make modifications for people of different skill levels. I've got long terms goals I want to hit, and I feel like I'm moving toward them! The mood in the classes is great too, in addition to the health benefits (which are many!), it's just a nice expereince and I look forward to going to class. Joined this studio because it's 2 minutes away and I needed more discipline with strength training--stayed because of the exceptional coaching. I originally signed up with Mike because of his dangerously glowing Google reviews. Honestly, I thought, "Okay, no one can be this good." Plot twist: he absolutely is. Mike has a PhD in Spotting Bad Form. I'm convinced he can see a crooked elbow from across the room. And he will fix it. Immediately. And again. And again. And yes, again -- even if it's the fifth time in the same circuit. If your squat is 2 millimeters off, he knows. If your back even thinks about rounding, he's already there. It's very impressive! What really stands out, though, is how knowledgeable, kind, and endlessly patient he is -- especially with beginners like my husband and me. He never makes you feel silly for not knowing something. Instead, he explains the "why" behind everything, which makes you actually want to do it right (even when your legs are questioning all your life choices). Mike makes working out fun. It's still hard work -- let's not get carried away -- but he creates an environment where you're laughing in between reps and leaving feeling proud instead of defeated. What can I even say! FIIT60 has changed the way I view fitness, nutrition, and my overall health and wellness in just 3 short weeks. As an athlete in my younger days I was embarrassed and nervous about starting on my fitness journey because I knew my body wasn't going to be able to keep up with the group. Yes, a majority of the group is fit and is able to perform all the exercises, but there are people at ALL different levels and stages of their fitness journey. I received a free week trial through an existing member who raved about this gym. I decided to give it a try even though it's not the closest gym to my house. After the first week I decided to join, coach Mike is super knowledgeable when it comes to fitness training, he pays attention to every member to make sure everyone is doing each move correctly to avoid injuries. It has now been 3 months since I joined and I feel great and extremely strong. This newly opened gym is worth checking out if you are: 1. a beginner interested in increasing strength / using weights / lifting but don't know how & want someone to tell you if your form is correct 2. looking for something better than F45 lol I actually already go to a kickboxing gym (AKA) but I wanted to increase my strength & stamina for muay thai and I needed someone to tell me if I was doing exercises with weights correctly. I previously tried F45 but I didn't really like their program that much (what they do makes sense for a franchise but didn't feel super effective for the ppl participating in the workouts). The owner of FIIT60, Mike, has basically fixed everything I didn't like about F45. And it's cheaper than F45!! (at the time of this review) He has clearly put a lot of thought into designing the daily workout programs (MWSat - strength, TThSun - mobility/cardio/corrective exercises, Fri - HIIT) to benefit the ppl doing the exercises & is very very good about correcting your form. His explanations are both technical & concise and he is patient about explaining the more complicated exercises multiple times (deadlifting is harder than it looks lol). The gym space itself is clean & spacious (for the current max. class size of 24) and the equipment is nice quality! The air circulation inside is better than I expected so it doesn't feel too stuffy or hot even on the warmer days. Also I would recommend checking out the instagram account for this gym @fiit60 to see photos of the space as well as an intro to the program. I don't generally write reviews for gyms I intend to regularly attend because if I like it I don't want it to become too crowded and if I have mixed feelings about it I feel bad about writing complaints online in case my gym instructors see it :P However, I have faith that Mike will maintain the quality of the gym experience as it grows in popularity. read more
