Oh my god, I am so happy to have found x2o studio!!!…read more I've been deep into lagree for the last year, and needed a studio for when I'm in Los Gatos. I live about 30 mins away, but I'm in Los Gatos often so it's convenient to have a studio nearby that I love. I've been over 5 times so far (whenever I'm in town), and every instructor I've had is equally amazing. The studio is pretty cold when you walk in, but within 5 minutes you're warmed up and it becomes the perfect temperature for a workout. The music is great and this studio is a vibe. Truly one of the best I've found-- and I've tried a lot in the area!

What stood out to me was how spacious and aesthetically pleasing the studio is. It gives total "Pilates princess" vibes, and the instructors are so friendly and welcoming. With about 12 reformers, the class size feels intimate, and the instructors do a great job walking around to help correct form and technique. The upbeat, popular music they play adds a motivating energy that makes those tough exercises more bearable! Plus, the reformers are wiped down after each class, and the calming scent in the studio is such a nice touch. What really sets this studio apart from others is that they also offer weight training and HIIT classes which is located next door. If you're looking to mix things up with other forms of exercise, this is the perfect place to do it! Classes are booked through their app, where you can even select your preferred spot. That said, it's a good idea to arrive about 10 minutes early to secure the spot you want. I'd definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking to start or continue their Pilates journey--it's the perfect mix of style, comfort, and variety!

I've tried most of the studios in the LG area and this one is by far the best. Not to mention it's inclusive, non-intimidating, and classes have a wide age range. The instructors, front desk staff and owner are so friendly. I have chronic back issues and I've been able to rebuild strength without injuring myself. Side note: I haven't had any trouble getting into classes and I attend class 4-5x per week. Don't let the waitlist intimidate you; it moves fast!

The level 1s can be great too depending on the teacher. Some teachers put up a great challenge even in level 1 while others made it pretty easy and I didn't feel like my core was getting the challenge it needed. Almost always the reformer level 2 classes were booked so we couldn't end up signing up for those weeks in advance. We attended one by a new / training teacher and that was fabulous. Decided not to continue because the reformer level 2s were super hard to get into and wish there were more of those.

It is important that I cultivate the Pilates Habit! as I have some fragile bones in my hip, an issue with balance, and for sure poor posture from fifteen years of writing at my computer. I am now conscious of my posture while at the computer, practice expanding my breathing most every day and squeeze my core muscles when I am walking. I find Grace in be a daily presence in my life as she inspires me to practice what she is teaching.. Every time I work with Grace, she is positive, warm, and consistent in teaching exercises to help with my issues. Grace is a great teacher as she can key into what works to help you learn. I have found her to be an amazing Pilates teacher with physical therapy skills. Grace is 100% focused on delivering a service and does not push sessions on you. Each time I take home my list of exercise which help me in my practice. Due to the fact I have deadlines on my book, she has been flexible with my Pilates schedule. Grace is skilled at adding in just enough to improve my routine but does not overdo it. I think Grace is one of the best Pilates teachers in the area and my MD is thrilled I'm making progress with the pain issues. I overdid it weight lifting but am now back to normal thanks to Grace!! The final benefit of working with Grace is that you get to work in a private room and can focus because there aren't other people around. If you are looking for a great instructor contact Grace for some fabulous training. You want an instructor who can help you develop the Pilates habit as you want to make it part of your daily life. I attended RockSalt via ClassPass- their classes are very affordable and easy to book…read more I would say that I enjoy the location (it's rare that South San Jose gets any new businesses) and cardio heavy nature of their classes. I would not recommend this class for a beginner due to the corporate direction that instructors do not provide any feedback on form correction or pacing. Even though I frequent Pilates classes, sometimes I find myself rushing through exercises. It'd be useful to hear instructors assist class members in their workouts. It's still a good workout and involves a lot of reformer work as well as floor work!

Every workout is fun and challenging, but not so much that you are super sore and can't move the next day. Linda is a fantastic instructor with very precise cueing and instruction of each exercise. I'd heard of Lagree but never really knew what it was, and didn't even know this was Lagree going into it, but it's basically a more intense form of pilates that uses a megaformer vs the traditional one. I'm glad I had a base of already working out and trying two other similar classes before coming here, so it was a little less intimidating. I think a beginner could definitely get the hang of this, but having a good foundation felt necessary to get the full benefits of the class and workout. And of course instructor direction and examples were a big factor in succeeding in the classes as a newcomer. I've had a handful of different instructors and have definitely found the one that is more my style and more motivating to me (shout out Ankitha), but I've generally liked all of the instructors enough to go back to their classes. Finding an instructor that works for you makes all the difference though when you're powering through a touch class, which these often are. I originally signed up for their first timers offer of 4 classes for $99. Other than that, without a membership classes run at $38 per, but they have a ton of different packages and memberships that could make classes range from $11 (if you went every single day) to $30 with a larger upfront cost. I ended up getting a class pack so that I wasn't limited or expected to attend a certain number of classes a month and have really liked the flexability. They have tons of classes throughout the day and week, so finding an opening isn't too hard.

I recently completed physical therapy for my neck and back and I wanted to get back into doing pilates to work on my core more + continue stretching out my neck and back. They had a deal for unlimited classes (31 classes) for $149 I believe, and it's such an amazing offer, especially if you're going to be consistent with going and making use of your credits. The instructors are so lovely and I haven't encountered any issues with anyone there. Stacey and Annie are my favorite instructors. They care so much about your form and your comfort, which I appreciate so so much. I haven't been there long enough yet to experience the other instructors more than once yet, but the experiences I've had have all been wonderful and positive! We focused a lot on arms, legs, and core, and I definitely felt like I got a solid workout. Both instructors were super nice, and I like the open, airy space in the studio. Everything is super clean and well-organized. Each station is fully stocked. The instructor lets you know what items you'll need for class but they also have a wall chart that shows what equipment will be used for the class.
