I have been suffering from poor nasal breathing since childhood. Always stuffed up, constant post nasal drip, exacerbated acid reflux symptoms, constant throat clearing. At some point I just accepted that as my normal. After having a friend recommend this practice and Dr Weiss in particular I scheduled my first appointment. Initially I was seen by Chris. Side note, if you want to be seen by a doctor you need to call and make sure to state that. I personally had no issues being seen by a nurse practitioner. He was extremely thorough and listened to my concerns. I think some people have a level of snobbery when it comes to credentials. In my experience each and every nurse practitioner at this practice is highly competent and trustworthy. Dr Weiss performed my sinuplasty, septoplasty and turbinate reduction. My first post op was with Katie, another nurse practitioner who was fabulous. I had to have a minor corrective in office procedure done a month later by Dr Weiss to remove scar tissue. It has been two months since the procedure and I couldn't be more grateful. It's a strange and amazing feeling being able to breathe laying down and not having to resort to one single pose like I have been for decades. The reviews by folks who state they didn't feel they "needed the procedure" puzzle me. When I go to a doctor I am looking for a concrete solution. I hated all the time I wasted going to other ENTs just to be told to use Flonase or Afrin. My life is changed for the better. I could not recommend this practice more highly. I've been having what I thought were migraines my entire life, that seemed to be allergy / sinus related. I went to CT Ent and they immediately discovered the cause and were able to do a "bubble" procedure that has completely taken my migraines away. They lie. I really wanted to like this place I had a great experience inside their offices, but they lie. They told me they had to give me a scan that's included in my first office visit and is just protocol, no cost. I specifically asked several times if they were telling the truth that the office procedure was genuinely included in my office visit and I asked whether my insurance was going to receive some crazy bill down the line and they assured me this wasn't the case. Three months later they sent a $2000 bill to my insurance and a $400 charge to me. They lied. They have done it to me and several people. They scammed me. read more

This place is awful! They will tell everyone that walks in that you need a balloon sinuplasty procedure. I had my ears and sinuses done and had zero results. Still can't breathe out of my nose and still have fluid and crackling in right ear. I'm 8 months out. Just saw a rhinologist who told me there was no way I ever needed that surgery. I have nasal valve collapse and they must have known that. They put me through this awful procedure for money. Now. I have to have anotger surgery. read more

STAY AWAY!! I wish I read the reviews of this location before I scheduled a last minute sick visit as a first timer. All I wanted was to confirm that I had a virus, and not covid or strep. However the nurse practitioner Jane Kopacki and all the nursing staff was hell bent on me scheduling a balloon sinuplasty. Of course my nasal passages looked swollen - I was sick. They even tried to sway me from "googling the procedure" online as it might scare me away. I made it clear I would not be agreeing to any surgery after them only having seen me once, and without speaking to an actual doctor. The worst part of it was being stuck with a $900 Nasal Endoscopy bill. The endoscopy was completely unnecessary, and the nurse practitioner simply used it to try and show me why I desperately needed this balloon sinuplasty (but was ineffective, because I didn't know what I was looking at). This location preys on people who are easily swayed or manipulated, and are absolutely taking advantage of insurance to make money. Will not be recommending this location to anyone. read more

Show up for my appointment to an ENT center that specializing in treating allergies. THEY HAVE AN OFFICE DOG. They claimed it's a "hypoallergenic" dog. That's even worse because while there are types of dogs that are more and less likely to trigger allergic reactions in people with dog allergies, there have been multiple publications debunking the common misperception of a "hypoallergenic dog" that nobody will be allergic to, most notably in The NY Times when Obama first took office. I went in for a balloon sinuplasty procedure and the staff and doctor are amazing. It is only a few days after surgery and I already feel better. The nurse prationer, Nancy Higbee, was so thorough and detailed in her evaluation of my condition. I knew her previously but had never seen her in a professional setting. I was extremely impressed. Dr. Kwiatkowski was excellent and addressed my concerns immediately when I phoned him post surgery. He also is professional, communicative and an excellent surgeon. I am so pleased I went to this center and had my sinus issue taken care of. Allergy shots and other treatments did not help my breathing due to the blockage in my nasal canal. I wish I had read these yelp reviews before I visited CT ENT. To Be Clear--STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. While I don't believe it is a scam as one reviewer suggested, it is at best a medical mill. I, too, was examined by a PA, was told my eustachian tubes were blocked and that I needed a balloon procedure to open the closed tubes. I never saw a doctor. I had the procedure with no visit from a doctor prior to the procedure. A doctor did perform the procedure and came in to talk to me afterward ( I was out of it) but I have no idea who he or she was. Did not see a doctor on my follow up. I was not prepared in any way for the seriousness of the procedure, the bleeding, or the difficulties which ensued post-procedure. Here we are two weeks out with the exact same problem with my ears although I have been told ( now) that it can take another several weeks. I have been there three times and cannot tell you what a doctor looks like. AVOID THIS PLACE read more

Do not go here. I am considering suing for medical malpractice. I was told I had a slightly deviated septum and that it would be taken care of during my balloon sinusplasty procedure that I was "a perfect candidate for." My procedure was performed in October. First off, the procedure itself was extremely painful. I could feel and hear my bones cracking as I was shaking and crying on the table while the doctors did nothing to help me. After suffering mentally and physically for the past three months from a sinus infection that was mistreated, I was able to find a new ENT provider who told me the truth. My septum is extremely deviated and I need to have a real surgery to fix it, not a balloon procedure. I have never been more sick in my life. I was in the emergency room only two weeks after my procedure for the worst headache and sinus pain of my life. After seeing a real doctor and being given a three week course of antibiotics, I am just now, in January, 3 months after my procedure, finally starting to feel better. On top of being lied to about my condition and treatment, it is nearly impossible to communicate with the nurses and doctors at CT ENT. None of my voicemails were ever returned. When I was able to get a call through and speak to reception, they said they could relay a message to the nurse, but I was not able to speak to anyone directly unless they called me themselves. Please do not go here - I would never want anyone else to have to go through what I did. read more

I thought I was seeing Dr. Waters, but when I got there I was informed that I was seeing Chris, I have no idea of his last name or qualifications. I was told that the balloon sinus dilation would fix my problems. Then a person was sent in to schedule my surgery. A little bit high pressure, assuming the appointment and I can see how some people might just go with it. No way am I going to jump into some kind of facial/nose surgery without ever meeting the surgeon. I get the impression that this is a "factory" and they are about scheduling and cranking out as many surgeries as they can. Oh and to top it off in the building somewhere there was a fire "drill" (a lot of fire trucks arrived for a drill) and we spent 20 minutes or more standing out side. I overheard someone say this happens all the time. So what would happen if they were in the middle of my procedure and this happened?! No thank you! Aside from that, every person I met was nice, friendly, likable. But I felt like I was being "sold" a bill of goods and like they were attempting to rush me into a decision. They told me my eustachian tubes were shut closed and would never open on their own again, and said that if I didn't have the balloon dilation procedure immediately I would end up permanently deaf in that ear. I went to a real doctor and found out no doctor would even recommend that procedure unless you've been having hearing problems for years. This place is such a scam. They just try to convince you that unnecessary procedures are needed, instead of actually giving proper care. Would never recommend this place to anyone read more

I saw Nancy Higbee as I was experiencing sinus pressure for a few months. Nancy was extremely professional, informative and very approachable. She educated me on the anatomy of my ear, nose and throat which was very helpful to understand. The CAT Scan delivered by Nancy and the staff was an overall great experience and I believe they are real pros at this center! This place is a total racket, I would not recommend to anyone. My 20 year old daughter had some muffled hearing, which we assumed was excess ear wax. When we went there, someone right out of college (not an MD) took an unsolicited CT scan, removed the ear wax (which was the issue), and then proceeded to sell us on 2 medical balloon procedures (thousands of dollars) for her ear and her sinuses. A few weeks later I saw a statement for insurance where they charged over $1700 for what was basically ear wax removal. When we walked out we felt like we had been totally taken advantage of, and the bill proves that. Stay away! read more

I have never written a review before, for anything or any business, but after my experience today at this place, I felt as though I needed to. I have been having some recent issues with my ear regarding a muffled sound and not hearing as well from that side. After a few days of trying some different drops, thinking it could have been just clogged, my wife made me an appointment to see Dr. Weiss at the CT ENT Center in Norwalk, CT. She was able to secure an appointment for 3 weeks out. After waiting for 3 weeks, today was my appointment with Dr. Weiss. As this is my first time coming to this place, I had arrived a little early to fill out the standard paperwork. The business had moved from the suite # that was posted on Google when I searched it, but I ended up finding it on the other side of this medical building. No big deal, just a "few" extra steps. Finally arrived to the office and checked in with the receptionist. They did not have my name in their system for an appointment but they did have my information. Which is weird since I have never been there before, but they have my information and no appointment? Anyway, they explained to me that unfortunately Dr. Weiss is not available because he was performing some procedures, but that I could see a physician who he has trained. I really wanted to see the ENT doctor, but I had already waited 3 weeks for this appointment and still having the issues with my ear. I said that it was fine to see the physician. After taking 10 minutes to fill out the necessary forms (standard stuff for first time patients), I was called into an exam room. The person had me sit on a seat and said they needed to take my vitals (not sure of their name, the gentleman never gave me one). I took a seat, he asked a few questions that I answered, and then proceeded to take my blood pressure. Tried it on my left arm, after it finished recording my BP he asked if I was anxious. I said no, its just a little stuffy in here, I'm really hot. For context, I was wearing a mask, with sweatshirt and sweat pants inside this small exam room with the heat on, on a 65 degree day. He takes it a 2nd time, he says its still a little high, let me try another BP machine. Leaves and brings another machine, checks my BP on my right arm it comes up with an error message. He says "Oops wrong arm" and puts it on my left arm and gets a reading, "its still high". Leaves for a 2nd time and wheels in another BP machine and asked me to take off my sweatshirt off and finally got a "normal" reading. 3 different devices to check my Blood Pressure. Not off to a great start with this place. Checks both my ears with the microscopic tool they use (not sure of the name) and says "No wax". And then he leaves the room for a 3rd time. Comes back in with a device that he says will measure my ear pressure. He says "This will measure your ear pressure, but to warn you it may be a little uncomfortable." I said its ok, no worries please check my ear. He jams this machine into my ear, no reading. He jams it in a 2nd time, nothing. Tries again 1 more time and didnt get anything. He leaves the room for a 4th time and comes back with a bigger nozzle for the device. Jams the machine with the new, bigger nozzle into my ear for a 4th time, nothing. At that point, someone else walked in and said "Did you get it?", He said "Not yet" and that other person left. Jams it in for a 5th time, nothing. He said "Im sorry I am playing around with your ear like this." I said "Sure". Sticks it in my ear again for a 6th time, guess what?!? No luck. He leaves the room for a 6th time. Brings another machine in to try again, Jams it in a 7th, 8th and 9th time. Nothing!!! At this point, my ear is killing me "a little uncomfortable" has become full blown ear pain, worse than what I came in for. He leaves the room for a 7th time, so I grabbed my sweatshirt and walked out. Went to the receptionist and said "Im really sorry but this is unprofessional. I dont think that guy knows what he's doing, he's used 3 different devices to check my blood pressure and has jammed a machine in my ear almost 10 times. I am in pain and leaving. I really hope I dont get charged for this, this is ridiculous." She said "Sir, what is your name?" I turned and went back to the exam room and grabbed my medical sheet and gave it to her and said "Here you go." I was not rude in any way what so ever, i just was fed up with that whole situation and walked out. Not once, did the receptionist say Sorry or ask for more information on what happened. I highly recommend CT-ENT for premium care and patient experience. From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed with open arms. I have had the pleasure of knowing the entire staff for over 2 years, and it has been a pleasant experience as a patient each and every time. Dr. Weiss worked closely with me to identify my underlying issues of sinusitis and eustachian tube dysfunction. After some medications, allergy testing, and CT scan, Dr. Weiss opted to use a small balloon to open my sinuses/treat my Eustachian tube, and also reduce my turbinates. The procedure itself was painless (0 out of 10 on a pain scale.) The only thing I felt was pressure when inside my nose, or when the balloon was dilated. I am 5 weeks post op now and feel wonderful. I can't thank Dr. Weiss and the team at CT-ENT enough! read more

Hearing Aid patients beware! DO NOT GO to CT-ENT for hearing aids. I had a truly awful experience here when I met with Dr. Shepard who diagnosed me with moderate hearing loss. She recommended hearing aids and told me that my insurance company would pay 100% of the cost. When all was said and done, there turned out to be a $4500 gap between the price United Health Care was willing to pay for the hearing aids and what CT-ENT wanted to collect from me. I went back and forth with CT-ENT for months working with an advocate from UHC who insisted that I had paid all I was obligated to pay based on the contract CT-ENT had signed with United Health Care, but to no avail. At this point, faced with CT-ENT turning my bill over to a collection agency or me paying them the money I do not owe them, I am forced to pay the ridiculous amount of $$$ but with the caveat that I am telling the world about their dishonest practices. At no time was I informed there would be a difference between what insurance would pay and what I would owe them. At no time was I offered a less expensive pair of hearing aids. My best hope now is that I can prevent others from making the same mistake. Please please please do not use CT-ENT if you think you might need hearing aids. read more

if i could give this practice a minus, i would. the office workers are rude and arrogant. the surgical manager did not check my insurance at all and i ended up with a huge bill. i called to ask for my records and was given incorrect information twice. on the third call, i was told they need to send me an email with a link to their patient portal. i no longer want to share my personal and private information with the staff, as i do not trust them, i told the office manager i would only give her an email and she hung up. never ever use this practice. read more

We have been seeing Dr. Weiss for 15 years. He has done 3 surgeries on my daughter (ear tubes twice and tonsil/adenoid removal). I see Dr. Weiss for sinus issues. We have been extremely happy with our care. Dr. Weiss has a terrific bedside manner with adults and children alike. His office staff is very communicative and knowledgeable. I began seeing Dr. Leonard about a year ago for sublingual allergy drops and asthma care. She is extremely thorough and has given me several options for my difficult allergies. Dr. Leonard's nurse Maureen is amazing, as is her medical assistant Lisbeth. I highly recommend this practice! read more

Horrid experience. Had fluid build up in my right ear and went there for a singular office visit. Happy paid my $65 co-pay, no problem. Had the office visit/exam, and then they convinced me to take a fancy hearing test. Don't know why I needed it because I knew my right ear was affected by the fluid but went ahead and did it anyway thinking it was part of the same singular visit. Nope. Got a bill for another $65 a month later. Called their third party billing company that said "We don't handle disputes, we will ask someone from the actual office itself to call you to discuss." I then called the actual office in Norwalk and their staff was very rude and abrupt... cut me off constantly and couldn't have cared less. The office staff also said they would take my name and number and call the billing company because they don't handle billing questions or disputes. Very bizarre and uncomfortable for me as a patient to not know where to go to discuss and dispute a bill when both the doctors office itself or the third party company THEY hired BOTH say "Welp, we don't handle that, sorry bud". Utter incompetence. Even more ridiculous is getting nickel and dimed and double billed for services I thought were part of the same singular visit. Especially for a hearing test I didn't need or want and with no warning at all from the staff that it might be a separate charge. Will never ever use this practice again and will never ever pay that second $65. And re-train your staff to have more respect for your patients. Shameful. read more

My son sees Dr. Weiss for his allergy drop therapy. It is the only thing that has helped him to manage and control his severe seasonal and environmental allergies.
