Bryan was quick to get back to my inquiry and was at the house to assess the project within a day. 2) Knowledgeable. Our refrigerator had leaked and warped several boards. Bryan explained the pros and cons of board replacement vs letting the boards dry out. We went with the latter and saved money. We had another challenge in the fact that we did not have two rooms refinished which meant seamless color matching. Alfredo was an artist and had an eye for selecting the perfect match. Although the final decision was ours, his experience was a definite help. 3) Efficient. The whole process from start to finish only took three days. We used the opportunity for a little vacation in the mountains and came home to beautiful floors! 4) Professional. Kevin, the project manager, came the weekend before to assess the job site and answer any questions. Alberto hung plastic and taped off the areas to reduce dust and vacuumed any remaining dust before the final coat. I was not told during the project the installer was not gluing them down per instructions until the project was done. I am now having to consider replacing it since the floor pops and snaps when we walk on it. I also just discovered that when the trim they removed was replaced the caulk used was kitchen caulk (not paintable) so I had to scrape it off and redo it.

He also installed new MDF for the stair risers (not painted yet in photo since they don't handle painting). Floor has no creaks in the rooms/hallway and looks beautiful. Pricing was fair and the best I could find in the area, and they were good about removing the costs for anything I handled myself (I removed old carpet and LVP, etc.) even though there were a handful of staples I wasn't able to pull myself from the stair risers. Just one word of warning, make sure you measure your floor space yourself--their measurements for the work were off by about 50 square feet, which would have made a big difference in the number of boxes of material I had to purchase. I think this was probably accidental from them including the bathrooms but given that _every_ floorer I spoke to provided inaccurate estimates it's best to just do the measuring/math yourself.

The crew finished in 1 day +2 hours the next day. They didn't mask off our new kitchen cabinets (or anything else) as they were supposed to so everything was covered in sanding dust. They left in a hurry without locking up the house. The front door was propped open with the key in the deadbolt and all of the lights left on. They left tools and trash inside and outside the house. The owner was apologetic afterwards but accepted zero responsibility for his crew. You might think they would check to make sure everything was done correctly before letting us know they were finished, but apparently there is no quality control. There are several areas that look bad - ripples across the floor, stain on the carpeting, a splotch of stain in the hallway and a long hair sealed into the kitchen floor. We will have to hire someone else to fix these areas since we can't trust this company to be in our house.

Our original meeting with Andy to obtain an estimate was refreshing (inclusive, respectful and knowledge-sharing). His team, as promised, arrived when he said they would. They were exceedingly respectful of the fact that I work from home (and wore earbuds rather than blaring a boom box and shouting). They seemed very organized, worked well together, and cleaned as they went. They completed the project in less time than estimated ("because Mike was on the job..."). This is a follow-up to previous entries regarding the deteriorating (extra expensive) carpet I got…read morein November 2025. After connecting with Simply Floors early 2026 because of the shredding carpet and after a couple of inspections and coordination with the manufacturer of the carpet, I now have the replacement installed (June 1, 2026). The installation was a good process this time and the carpet will most likely hold up very well. Good installation, done within a reasonable time frame and confirmation of details beforehand was achieved. Would have given 5 stars if this was how it went in the beginning. Although I wouldn't recommend one company over another, I would recommend solid communication with all involved, especially with the install crew and company together so everyone is on the same page from the beginning and not just futile lip service. Follow-up inquiries are also important. Would I work with this company again---probably, since they came through with corrections.
