The only time the server engage a conversation was when we were waiting to leave and no detailed receipt was presented to pay. The server had the terminal ready on hand with total to pay. They had different options to select from to order online: SpotOn, DoorDash and UberEats. I went with SpotOn since we were picking up even though I've never heard of the site, but figured since the other ones are primarily delivery services I'll go with this one. Well apparently it was the wrong choice. Ordering was quick and easy. We showed up to the restaurant and they said they didn't have our order. My bf showed them my phone with the page I still had open of the order and they said they cancelled SpotOn a couple months ago so they're not sure how we were able to place an order. They told us we'd have to call SpotOn to get a refund. The problem is the website where we placed our order has a number at the bottom to call if there's any problem with our order, but that number is the restaurant's! The restaurant had no idea how to contact SpotOn and provided no support. So then I had to google SpotOn customer support to find their number and get a refund. It was easy to get through to someone and they were as confused as the restaurant and didn't understand how the restaurant could say they don't have the service when we were able to place the order. In the end, they gave me my refund but I'm utterly disappointed that the restaurant did nothing to help and rather than fulfill the order on their end with my proof of order and call SpotOn to get their payment, they made us reorder with them, pay again, and find out how to contact SpotOn on our own. Mind you, my CC charge even said the name of the restaurant, NOT the name of the 3rd party service. Their poor service and the fact that we were in a rush and had to reorder and wait for our food made me hangrier than I've been in awhile. I don't write negative reviews often but this one deserved it. Note to management: take SpotOn OFF your website if you cancelled the service supposedly 2 MONTHS AGO!
