Very cute and quaint cafe. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The views of the airplanes taking off while sitting outside on the patio was fun to look at while eating breakfast. The food was yummy. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was good but I will say the tortilla was so greasy I wasn't able to eat the entire thing. My fingers were so greasy afterwards so I just ate what was inside and left the rest of the tortilla. My boyfriend got the French toast combo and he liked it. Overall, everything was good! When we travel I always look for small airport cafe's, they never disappoint, and Flight 126 is another one of those small airport cafe's that did not disappoint. We stopped in for breakfast and found the service to be friendly and we were well taken care of. We had a table out on the patio and enjoyed sitting and watching the small planes take off and land. Several were doing touch and go's for practice. Mr. B ordered two eggs, hash browns and biscuits and gravy, everything was delicious and his cup of coffee was constantly filled. Everything was very good. I ordered a scrambled egg and hash browns. The hash browns were crispy and crunchy yet creamy in the middle. The place is tucked off the beaten path near Santa Paula airport and has a nice parking lot. A great way to start the day! read more

Every time we go through, we stop for fabulous "home style delicious meals!" For years, the service is always friendly and attentive. Today "Mindy" served us and we decided that when they make robot servers they need to make the "Mindy" model. Vibrant smile and energy, delighted to serve our family of four, and made us feel fully welcome. As always the food was perfectly divine. The homestyle chicken fried steak is tenderized, battered and fried as good as mine, my boys said, but I think better! Crispy out and tender goods inside. The white milk gravy is homemade from the pan drippings. There's no other way to do it this well! Homemade biscuit with real creamery butter will stick to your ribs and lure you to bliss. Eggs over easy done just right. Hashbrowns crispy, rich coffee, and what seemed like fresh squeezed OJ. Any day is a good day to stop for a great eating experience, but in the first Sundays of the month, the aviation museums are open and free of charge. LOVED our experience here. Came on Saturday around 11 and it was a 30 min wait. We had a mimosa and coffee while waiting. We ordered the chicken fried steak. It was my first time having it and I thought it was great. It's HUGE. The gravy is phenomenal and the inside of their biscuits and soft and pillowy. Staff is super friendly. Prices were great too. 2 chicken fried steak meals (with eggs, biscuit, and hash browns), coffee, and mimosa for a little over $50. Will definitely return. read more

Great place to go have some breakfast and mimosas. We were watching the airplanes come and go.

I was looking forward to this experience and it didn't disappoint! But I worried a bit. We arrived at almost 11 and I worried that breakfast would not be available. It was available. Then there was a table with a large group, maybe 15 or so. They ordered at same time as us and I worried that our food would be delayed. We were all served at about the same time. How does the kitchen do that? My blushing bride had a vegetable omelet, hash browns, coffee and a biscuit. I had corned beef hash, eggs over easy, some sort of chunks of breakfast potato, iced tea and a biscuit. Let me start with the biscuit... it was thick, fluffy and yummy. We recently had a bad biscuit experience.... well, not really "bad" but certainly not good. This was a pleasant surprise! The omelette got good comments. My corned beef hash was really, really good. As were the other items. I dwell on the hash because I had an unfortunate childhood experience with hash that scarred me for life. You don't want to know... really, you don't. This is only the second time I've eaten corned beef hash since I was a child. I'd gladly come back for more! Service was kind and efficient. Prices are right. read more

GETTING HERE: This restaurant is located at the Santa Paula Airport, and I would recommend eating outside if you can, too. It's such a neat experience! Head to 8th Street and cross Harvard Boulevard. At the "T" in the road turn left and you're there. :) REVIEW: Another hidden gem in Santa Paula that is worth the trip, in my opinion. And, it's so great to support a local, small business. Especially during the present times! Also, they close at 2 PM so be sure to keep that in mind. Every visit seems to be better than the last! Great tasting American/brunch food and the service has been outstanding as well. Much appreciated! On our most recent visit we experienced a problem with one of the Breakfast Burritos our party had ordered. Our server Emily was pleasant and receptive when we shared the problem with her. She took the burrito back to the kitchen and brought out another item in its place without giving it a second thought. Great food and great service, combined with great atmosphere. Visiting family in SP, I wouldn't have expected to find this cafe at its location. But once you end up in the restaurant, you'd be surprised at how conveniently located it is- right alongside the flight school!! This joint is your typical, American breakfast & brunch spot!! I saw they have lunch choices and serve breakfast ALL day so that is a plus!! Sometimes, I want breakfast for a late lunch or dinner lol! Food: Chicken fried steak- you need space on the table for this combo alone!! I shared with my kids (3 & 6) and still had leftovers. Steak- (not my order) looked delicious and asked for medium rare. It was cooked unevenly but did not get a chance to snap a pic once it was cut. Corned beef hash- (not my order) it was good, not salty at all. Not pictured: French toast (4 pieces)- I liked that it tasted like how my dad makes 'em. Loved the whipped butter too! Bowl of chili and toast- (not my order) but it was enjoyed by my family. Service- quick and prompt; the waitresses made their rounds a few time to make sure our cups & mugs were never empty. Seating- we choose to be out in the back as the kids wanted to enjoy the airplanes. We got to watch several take off and flying nearby. This was a new experience for us as a family and definitely the highlight of our visit. The mountain backdrop and clear skies made it work out in our favor after the quick rain that morning. Parking- plenty of parking! Tip- we arrived about 10am on a Sunday. It was about a 20 min wait. Not sure if you can call ahead to reserve but it doesn't hurt to try. First time here. We did a car club ride and ended up here where we showed our cars to public as they came in to visit Santa Paula Airport Museum. Then we had lunch. The portions are generous, the lunch was pretty good, the staff was accommodating and friendly. They are dog friendly on patio. They are known for the generous portions on the Chicken Fried Steak and the gravy is delicious. Since recently transitioning to Keto I do Beth's breakfast skillet with no potatoes and it leaves me well satisfied for a long working day. The place is perfect for families with young kids and I give it a 7 on the sensory level. 10 being loud and 1 being quiet. read more

We had a reservation for father's day brunch and still waited around 25 min to be seated. Once we were seated and able to eat, there were so many stations of food that were empty and as soon as they brought out more food it was like a swarm of bees descended. The serving stations were a mess with food spilled everywhere and very limited serving utensils that were dirty. The staff was really friendly and were doing the best they could, but I just don't think they planned efficiently for the amount of people they were seating. The food was a hit or miss nothing to rave about. The views were great and it was fun to see the planes at the airport, but unfortunately I do not think we will be going back for a second visit. read more

Service: 3-4 but it was a Sunday morning so a bit of a lag is ok as they were busy. Brought wife pancakes instead of the waffle she ordered. Ate the pancakes. I had the country fried steak. Food was good, tasted fresh, nice portions, staff is friendly, but not always accurate. Went twice within a a few weeks and both times, orders were incorrect (once the kitchen's fault, twice the server), slow in coming out, slow in getting drinks refreshed, servers weren't too clear on the menu items(ie in one instance I heard a mom ask, 'Is the fountain drink included with the kids meal?' To which the reply came, 'I don't think so, but I can check "if you like".' Well, it's clearly written on the menu, under the Kids Meals heading that a fountain drink is included, but apple juice or milk are a $1 additional charge. The 2nd trip the apple juice upgrade was requested, charged, but not delivered. We were offered it to go, but we requested the $1 be removed instead. The challenge with not getting everything we ordered became frustrating when waiting for the correct condiments. Honey mustard dipping was a part of the Kid chicken strip meal, but wasn't delivered with the meal, so food got cold waiting over 10 minutes for the server to go back to the kitchen and pour the dip, and also make up the cups of butter, sour cream and chives that were meant to be ON the baked potatoes. Oh, AND the dressing for my salad entree. Baked potatoes were to be "loaded" but no bacon bits. They had bacon bits(order written correctly, but kitchen missed it), and cheese, but not butter, sour cream, or chives. Seems all these side cups could've been prepped while the food was being cooked, or even before and kept covered and refrigerated for servers to grab as needed. It's ok that things are forgotten, but taking over 10 minutes to "go grab them" for us is just poor planning and frustrating. Getting the bill and then paying were exceedingly slow - BOTH VISITS. Requiring us to go inside and find our server(more than once), but only hearing they would "let her know," which didn't happen. So, yeah, pack your patience and focus on the planes. Speaking of which, I also was hoping the view of the Santa Paula Airport tarmac would be better, but it was interesting enough seeing planes approach from the east, touch down, and occasionally glimpse one taxi. The view is between the other planes parked, but we could sure hear them! On the upside, when we requested a heat lamp, we got one. It only heated 2 of the 5 people at our table, but they did bring one. We just moved the table and chairs to a better position mid table so all could share. Again, staff very friendly. I don't know if management will ever read this, or take head, but the friendly service needs to come up to - at minimum - the same level as the food, which was good both times I visited. read more
