Amazing customer service. I was traveling for work and the airline lost my luggage along with my contacts. The Doctor was able to see me the same day and provide a trial pair of contact lenses. The front office staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and the office is clean and very well appointed. I would highly recommend this optometrist to anyone in need of contacts or glssses. It is my opinion that she (Dr. Truong) should be avoided at all costs. I shall translate this also for the Vietnamese, Chinese, and Spanish readers. I like to stay professional however she has caused be great pain with her egotistical, and arrogant approach to simple matters. I let the first one go which was over a year ago when I simply needed a refill for a eye solution that helped with my allergies. Even after insisting on a new visit she initially refused to refill based on nothing reasonable as explained to me. NOW, I recently lost my glasses during a move, and simply wanted them to re-order the same glasses I had her prescribe before. She actually never called me rather had Josh to her work of refusal to reorder. I got this story about (of course) how eyes change over time and I need to go in again. Easy if I am local, and had insurance... and yes, I lost my glasses. BUT, just the same a MD that prescribed a med prior, can reorder that same script months (years) later without a visit. SHE refuses, and that is my I never returned after the eye drop issues I encountered with her. My expectations are higher of a MD of any kind, and my request was very reasonable. I told Josh if I really needed to come in for an exam, I could this week however he was quick to response NO OPENINGS, until well into the end of September.... all I want is a reorder of what the doctor already prescribed AND ordered for me not that long ago! I want everyone to know that she is great for taking multiple appointments, and your money.... but very reluctant , and or downright refusing to help when needed (when there is little or nothing in it for her). Very Very bad attitude, and horrible customer experience. I have been a current and returning patient for some number of years now. I think it has been as far back as 2012 or earlier. And through eye examinations and prescriptions, I have tried contacts and glasses. As the years have gone by, I have chosen glasses because they fit my style and are much less maintenance than cleaning contact lenses. I recommend this optometrist because the eye service is scheduled and efficient, and they have always done routine checkups each year. Further, they have a wide selection of glasses to fit the style in frame or material additions in lenses. And wearing glasses ordered by them, I have always had a regular and clear experience, through reading, going outside, and driving. My primary reason for sticking with them so long, is to keep the eye records continuous so that my optometrist knows the eye record and accumulation of eye examinations and prescriptions over the years. If your insurance has Crystal Vision Optometry as one of the eye service providers, you can go with them and have eye examinations done, choose among some good working and styled glasses, as well as contacts, or have your eye medical record longer term. The optometrist is very nice and will examine your eyes to give you the right prescription, so you can go back to seeing and reading normally. And she is well qualified, as I think she graduated from a University of California to practice optometry. read more

Kids appointment at 430. We don't get seen until 536. When we arrived they told us it was a 20 min wait bc dr was behind..... over an hour later we get seen. No word was said during the wait like, I'm sorry it's taking so long. This isn't my normal place and I took my friends kid. So unorganized! Dr has to do everything but yet you have 2 staff members??? My husband and I have gone to Dr. Tiffany Truong for several years. I can not recommend her highly enough. She is by far the best and most thorough Optometrist either of us have ever been to. We were completely blown away by her the first time we had an eye exam in her office. She is also very patient and makes sure that any questions you might have are answered, She was the first Optometrist to recognize that I had a little thinning of the Retina. She recommended a Retina specialist for me to see and am I happy with him as well. I am very grateful to Dr. Truong that she was able to spot the thinning in it's early stages, so I'd have a specialist lined up in case of an emergency. I have had to wear glasses and contacts for over 20 years and have seen many Optometrists over that time period. It would be hard to find a general Optometrist that is as thorough as Dr. Truong. Recently, Dr. Truong's office she has moved to a much more convenient spot, right off 880 and just about a mile from the Fremont Hub. read more

Dr. Truong eye exam is very thorough. The staff their are very nice and knowledge about helping you choice a frame. Their frame adjustment are the best. My first and last visit to this optometry. This doctor likes to quadruple book and it cost me 2 hours in which I was waiting for over 1 and 1/2 hours! I came 15 minutes early to my appointment since I am a new patient and I know that there are forms to be filled. 15 minutes after the scheduled time I was taken to a small corner for some tests with a clearly inexperienced assistant. It almost seemed like it was just to fill time. 45 minutes later I got to see the doctor who examined my eyes and then dilated them and said that she would see me again in 15 minutes when my eyes would be ready. I was seen 35 minutes later. When I asked the front desk ladies why this had happened they unapologetically told me that the people before me were late. Then while I was waiting to see the doctor after I got my eyes dilated they told me someone else needed the drops put in their eyes and it would only take 2 minutes which does not explain why I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. I should have not had to wait this long for an appointment! In other optometry offices it takes at most 45 minutes not 2 hours! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Truong since I was a little kid. Probably close to 15 years or something. I'm pretty weird about people getting close to my eyes and she's always been very patient with me. She takes the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions and concerns. I don't think I would really trust any one else but her to get close to my eyeballs. The rest of the staff has always been great. I'm very picky about my glasses and they would probably let me try on every pair of frames if I wanted to. There was a time that I tried on every pair of black frames they had. When I pick up my new glasses they always take their time to fit them to my face properly so I'm comfortable. I haven't seen Dr. Truong in a few years due to insurance reasons, but before this break I was a long-time patient for many years. Although I have gripes with her office, I trust Dr. Truong completely with my eye care. Improvements could be made to the way the office is run but without a doubt she is a fantastic optometrist. Unfortunately, this year the office has been aggressively sending reminders. I received post cards, texts, and automated calls. I was left the most annoying automated voicemail. Customer service is horrible..the girl n I mean girl who answered the phone was rude and cocky she argued with me about my coverage I told her what I had she acted like she knew more about my coverage than I did. She insisted that I had vsp insurance and she argued with me for about 10 to 15 minutes.. very unprofessional..never got to see the doctor she may have been nice but her staff sucks!!!!! read more

I have been with Dr. Troung for 15 years. She provides THE MOST thorough eye examinations I have ever had. She always reviewed the best alternative options for me, even discussed Lasix surgery. I am very disappointed with Crystal Vision Optometry. We wasted lots of time because 1. They mess up our appointment. The appointment we made was never exited in their computer... ??? We ended up have to reschedule for another two weeks. 2. When we went their, they never told us that we should not wear contact on the day of the office visit. The dr. still went ahead for the Orth-K procedure, but the lens we got are very uncomfortable. 3. We went back two weeks later to pick up the lens, but they lost our order. 4. For the follow-up appointment, dr. was more than 20 mins late. We had to leave. Overall, we receive very poor service and the lens are not comfortable at all. read more

They do not have a large variety of frames. They are very happy to order any frame you want but what they don't tell you is that if you do not purchase them, they will charge you a shipping fee. I've been going to Dr. Truong for about 7 years. The wait is usually long, and traffic in this area is terrible. I agree with the other Yelper that they milk you for every little thing here. Frames and contact lenses here are way more expensive. That's why I always ask for a prescription so I can order my glasses and contact lenses elsewhere. This year, after my exam, Marissa gave me a quote for my contact lenses and I agreed to buy from them because of the rebate she offered. A couple of days later, Cindy called and said the rebate was expired in June and that Marissa quoted the wrong price. I asked her to cancel my order and mail me the prescription so I can order from Walmart and I NEVER got it the mail. I asked Walmart to call the office, asking them to fax my prescription over and Walmart NEVER received the fax. So I had to come to their office in a terrible traffic to pick up my prescription and was told that Marissa actually didn't mail it. However, I was only given the prescription for contact lenses and the one for the glasses wasn't available. Dr Truong wasn't there so I couldn't get it. I asked if it can be e-mailed to me and was told that they don't have a scanner! Cindy told me that she will make sure the prescription is mailed to me this time. I also needed my itemized receipt for my eye exam for my claim since I have a flexible spending account so I called in again to remind them to mail it to me as well. Guess what? I NEVER RECEIVED THEM! So..today, one month after many calls and visits since my eye exam on 07/19, I have to drive in again to pick up my prescription and receipt. Cindy saw me, didn't even say hi or apologize, she quickly pushed the receipt and the prescription on the counter over to me. It's too bad that I like Dr. Truong, she's a good doctor. I think her staffs will be nice to you only if you order frames/contact lenses from them. I haven't changed my address and I received their reminder to make an appointment in the mail. If the mails got lost somewhere, they couldn't be all lost. What about the fax? I guess it's still in the air! I will not come back here again. read more

Dr. Truong is really nice , very professional and an excellent doctor that I highly recommend. But her staff are so ineffecient and unapologetic to whatever you ask, they never tell you the hidden fees untill the payment time comes, it would be really nice if they told me the cost of the repair before they start repairing the glasses...... Second thing is, for 2months I have been calling the office to send me the reciept for what I paid towards my son's new glasses to file a Health Saving reimbursment and till TODAY they didnot mail it to me. How hard can it be to print an receipt and post it??? Every time I call - they put me on hold they say Cindy is not in today, she only handles billings I donot want to interfere so please call later or come later from past 2months.....I am really disappointed to such an extent that I decided to write this yelp review. I have been visiting this doctor for past two years and the first time the front office staff said they will order my lens and 2 weeks later I call and they did not order it. This year, I took my kids and they switched their frames and had to redo it. I hate that they charge a very high lens fitting fee. I had a decent experience with Dr. Truong. She was nice and did a reeasonable exam and prescribed glasses that work well for me. A few months later, I went back to get my frames fixed. My frames are very thin and light and bendable. They were bent out of shape by my friend's kid. The lady at the front fixed them for me just fine. But when I told her how it happened, she said, "Well, someone must've stepped on them for that to happen." So, is she implying I'm lying? My friend's kid has autism. Autistic kids manipulate objects for sensory exploration. It's called "stimming" and most people familiar with autism know how a stimmy kid can bend objects out of shape. I thought the response from the lady at the front desk was disrespectful and uncalled for. She did not see what happened. I did. Disappointed at the unnecessary rudeness. read more
