I am beyond blown away with the service here! Since I started noticing that my eyesight was getting worse, especially at night, I automatically went to the Kaiser vision center since I have Kaiser for my medical. Big mistake. I had to literally make an appointment for every little thing, and they usually had 2 to 3 weeks waiting period for Everything. They fitted me with the wrong contacts twice and I was very disappointed with the service. I went to go talk to Tiffany at Crystal Vision Optometry and it was a completely different scenario! I was immediately greeted by Chris and let them know my situation. He said he was happy to wiggle me into that day and I had a very special one on one service with the doctor. She did a through exam and did a deep check on my eyes and noticed m that I have extremely dry eyes and gave me some suggestions on that. She fit me in some contacts that were beyond amazing and said that they were able to get them for me in 2 to 3 business days. I have an ophthalmologist, but I need an optometrist for glasses. My previous optometrist, who was very good, I unfortunately had to abandon because the practice was purchased by a larger company and I knew what was next. I find smaller practices give me the attention I need and the reason I selected Crystal Vision. I found Dr. Truong's office to be very clean, with the glasses nicely displayed as soon as I walked in. Dr. Truong, had received her degree from CAL's School of Optometry, which I went to for my eye exams, starting when I was a student in the School of Business and continuing after graduation for may years, so I know she had extensive training. So during my visit I realized I made the right choice! But the icing on the cake was Chris, who assisted me in finding my new glasses. As others have stated the staff is a problem. The fish usually rots from the head however. My story started with glasses ($800) followed by Ortho-K ($2200). Everything went well enough for the first 6+ months until I brought the Ortho K lenses in for protein cleaning. Within a couple days the locating dot on one lens was completely gone and nearly completely gone from the other. Now in Los Angeles for the summer I called about sending them back to get re-dotted, and they told me I could bring them in, in person, or live with it. Since the lenses frequently would rotate I can't "live with it." I'm left with lenses I can't use from a place that doesn't stand behind their work. read more

doctor is really good, facility has advance machine for retina imaging. however, the front desk staff seems to be trying to trick the patients into paying more. I went for my annual eye exam, had a great session with Dr Tiffany. I went to the front desk to check for frames. firstly, ghey have very very limited frames to select from. They offer to order online. I got a quote for a particular ray ban. I said, I will try the glasses and come back to order. At this time, the quote did not have any shipping charges. I went back 3 days later, saw a new frame and straight away liked it. I asked for the price/ quote. The gentlemen at the front desk got his tablet, looked for the exact frame in a different color, told me the price. I said ok and asked him to place the order. He went to get my file. during this time, he spoke to the other lady, came back and had an elevated price on the receipt. When I noticed it and questioned it, he said he made a mistake earlier. I proceeded. Then, while at the end of it, he added another charge for getting the frames shipped to their center. I informed him that I have a quote which does not mention the shipping charge, to which he said, the other person made a mistake for the earlier quote. i went to another optometry, got the same glasses in far less price with NO shipping charges. Never going back to this shop for frames. read more

We had the greatest experience ever getting my hubs new glasses. We called a few places & they all wanted appointments only. We already had a prescription & only needed glasses. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERIVCE AND BULLSHIT ATTITUDE. went today was there on dot at the time of appointment. Was provided a form to fill up and once done everything is silent for 15 minutes. If it's going to take time why the hell they set time 15 min before? They think only they are busy and our time is not valuable? On top of it there is a guy who attitude is as if we are obligated to him and warns me to mind my attitude. Probably the doctor is good. I have been going to Dr Troung for almost 25 years, during my lst annual exam she noticed my oil glands in both eyes were blocked and has performed the necessary eye procedures to "unblock" them. Her equipment is state-of-the-art, these each procedure take time (90 minutes) , can be a disomforting and a little frightening, but she walked me through the entire process. She has a Fellowship in Optometry which only 1% of all US optometrist have achieved. read more

I have been going to Dr Truong for over 2 years now and still think she is the best eye doctor I have ever had. She took the time to detail all my eye differences that I never knew about. The doctor and staff were very nice and took their time with my husband and I but what I'm most upset about is the fact that I felt they were milking us for every little thing. 1.) Eye exam, standard exam for two people $75 -$100 approx 2.) My Contact fitting, additional $30-40 3. Glasses, we both bought a pair of Oakley glasses $100-140 each 4. My 6-month supply of regular contacts $250.00 When I wanted to order colored contacts before I went on my honeymoon, I called the office to ask them to have the doctor update my RX. She advised that I'd have to come in for another fitting which will cost me another $30. I've spent over $600 between my husband and I and they won't update my prescription for colored contacts when every RX I've had from 10 plus years of wearing contacts gave me the choice for ordering clear and/or colored contacts. I expressed my disappointment and irritation to the girls up front and I received an apology but I will not come back for any future services. In a business standpoint, they made the wrong decision. For $30.00, they lost a potential $500 - $1000 per year in services and products. read more

Ive been going to Dr. Truong for a couple of years now and my mother use to come here to, hence why I see her, and we both think she is such a sweet lady. Even though my mom got scolded by Dr. Truong (LoL! I was there for that!), for wearing her contacts too long that created a cyst in her eye, she was able to take care of it before my mother lost her sight. My mom didnt stop going to her for this reason, my mom ended up relocating and her low-quality-if-you-call-it insurance wasnt going to cover the visits with Dr. Truong. She wish she could, but can't. Dr. Truong is very patient, professional and knows her stuff when it comes to optometry. (Thank GOD!) She has diagnosed small eye conditions for me and helped me fully understand my conditions and prescibed the best quality care. She is really a sweet and humble lady! read more
