I was in town for Father's day and accidently sat on my glasses last night. My brother recommended I go to his eye doctor for a quick repair. I brought the frames and the screw with me. Even though I had no appointment, they still helped me out when I came in. Service was great. I signed a quick waiver. No charge! In less than 15 mins, Antonio, Genna, Noah and Brandon put a new screw in for me. They did a small file/cut to smooth out one of the edges for a more clean closer fit. I'm not only furious with this company, but I'm mostly so unbelievably disappointed in them. It has been six months that I have been trying to get both my Gucci and Tom Ford glasses to either have the right fitted lenses or not be warped. With all the many times I have went there to pick up these glasses they didn't even check to see if they were done correctly. I believe they were hopping I wouldn't notice. Every time the glasses came in which never was together I had to rearrange my schedule when my time is very limited. I'm a mother and I don't live close by. It took them 2 months to even get me the Gucci's the first time that had to return again multiple times because they kept messing up the lenses. Ultimately they had to reimburse me because they were unable fix the problem. I'm just disappointed because there was other stuff that happened besides both of those issues. They never fitted these glasses to my face so they would hit my cheeks which would have ending up fogging up the hot weather or have sweat gather and make them slide around. I had to find another pair that would fit correctly which I did when I got home, I noticed that the lenses were still not sitting correctly, so I ordered new lenses and went in today to have them put in the Tom Ford to find out that the reason the lenses weren't fitting is because the frame was warped. They said they would reimburse me for these glasses, which they should do, but unfortunately now I have no driving glasses. OMG so much time has been wasted in the last 6 month to not even have one pair of driving sun glasses. I know this is a really long review, but with how bad my experience was I hope you are aware that this could be your experience. Long over due review and a long one. Friendly staff and pleasant experiences every year and we have been going here for a few years now. Doctor Judy has always been the best and very professional and very family oriented. She always finds ways to assist our special needs daughter and we really thank her and the staff. We always get our glasses here and although some items are pricey. with insurance and their discount, it balances out fairly, it does not deter us from returning year after year and every year we get new prescription and yes eye protection sunglasses and reward ourselves with their good selection of high end brands like Cartier, DIOR, Ferragamo, YSL and for the Maui Jim outdoor lovers like me when polarized lenses are needed and many more etc. They have lots of other brands on display that we do not see on the website but we love the ones made in Italy and Japan and they really have a good selection for everyone prescription added or not and custom to your needs as far extras they can explain clearly. Some say too pricey but they always make any budget fit and we are all happy as an end result and the staff never rushes us. Nobody is perfect but they always take care of whatever fails on the product we bought to make it perfect. All Our prescription and non prescription glasses are on point and we are very satisfied. We thank the staff for their patience and attention to detail and for answering all our budget questions and for the free eye glass cloth and solutions :).. Just sharing not bragging for Bella Eye Care products they carry and photo attached and yes this is one of the many glasses we have gotten from Bella Eye Care through the years and for sure many more years following. I've been going here for years since Dr. Judy opened up this practice. I have had excellent service all along with capable and caring staff, and good communication. Staff is good at letting me know what services are covered and what's patient responsibility. They honor their commitments and put the patient first. I came back for my (overdue) annual eye exam and new glasses. The glasses came within a week; then they let me know that the coverage on my OLD pair of glasses was still in effect. They took those and sent them out because the lenses were scratched! I will pick these up tomorrow, no additional charge. They're also great at getting the prescription over to you so you can order glasses on your own. I'm terrible at losing glasses so I always order some "cheap" backup pairs. The practice has expanded dramatically since I first started going, and I understand why. It's so great to have excellent service so close to home! read more

I'm a first time patient here and we very impressed with the overall experience and service. When you first walk in the staff is very courteous and attentive to you and your needs. Got here a few minutes before my appt and was helped basically right away. Got some pre-screening stuff out of the way quickly and was in to see the doctor in no time. I'm very upset with Bella. In the past few years, I have purchased three pairs of glasses from them this last pair. They were not able to adjust it, which is unusual because from my understanding they're all adjustable so they try to put it an attachment to it to keep it so it doesn't fall off, but that was ugly and I didn't want that. They told me they could send me to a place that does glasses repair, but I wasn't gonna do that because these glasses are brand new but they didn't care and they just let me walk out the door. I've got a couple other problems with the glasses too, and I told the guy we need to fix or adjust the glasses to fit me before we could pursue the other two problems, so customer care went down the tube a very disappointed with them. read more

New customer - Did an Annual Eye Checkup Dec 1st week and ordered prescription glasses (the checkup itself was fine, the glasses selection was limited and all were overpriced but I managed to find something). Did not hear from them until Jan so followed up - was told glasses were on back order and delayed (they did not care to inform) - they said they will update with an ETA shortly. One week passed by - did not hear back. Called again today to check - lady who picked up was rude, said to expect them next week (lab is backordered) and when I asked why hadn't they gotten back - the response was - "we are letting you know now". Not going back this year for sure - would not recommend to anyone. read more

We were on vacation in NorCal and My husband had an issue with his contact lens, turns out it was torn! His eye was unhappy and irritated. So it's been a few years since I started coming here and they are actually great!! I has to update my review. Judy and her team really try their best to help you. All her staff are very friendly as well. They have a good selection of glasses...some are expensive but worth the quality. I would prefer these then going to LensCrafters or Costco. I know those places are much cheaper than here but I like named brands. I have been starting to have bad eye sight... I guess old age is catching up to me!! Judy has been helping me with my allergies, dry eyes, and far and near sited eyes. It makes it difficult for a person yah know! Love coming here! I actually found this place because I put a poll on IG for best optometrists in the East Bay and someone recommended Dr. Judy!! Best recommendation ever. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I've brought my 3 kids to my appointments and the girls upfront always make them feel comfortable. The tests the office does before actually seeing the optometrist are pretty cool and high tech. Idk about anyone else, but I always hated the machine that poofs the little air lol. Well, they don't have one of those!! Hahah. The frame selections are always hip and fashionable. I look forward to a new pair every year. Turn around time for pick ups are relatively fast compared to other offices I've been to. Also, the staff is very knowledgeable and transparent when explaining the financials. I actually just got a text that they now partnered with a 3rd party for patients to order contacts directly. Haven't used it yet, but sounds cool! It has been longer than year trying to delay my eye exam due to Covid. My "go-to" optometrist is no longer in business :(. So I decided to find a new place to go. Just to be clear, I always try to find an Opto that actually pay more attention to eye health than trying to sell me multiple pairs of glasses or maximize my eye insurance annual benefits. I happened to find Bella Eye Care, your neighborhood Optometry. Registration was simple enough. I highly recommend call the business to reserve the time slot. Fill up the necessary forms online prior to your appointment. It will be easier for everyone. Staff were "uber-friendly" and helpful. I had the earliest appointment but I did not see anyone else waiting in the business area. So I presumed they planned out the office visit diligently to ensure everyone's safety and follow Covid-prevention procedures. Just like any other Optometry, they are a good number of selections. Staff very tentative and helpful. Dr Nguyen was great. In addition to the standard check, the she provide detailed eye consultation and care. This is critical to me. Paid $430+ for one Nine West pair prescription glasses after insurance benefits were applied, and was promised itemized receipt same day so I can submit for FSA reimbursement. She even threw in that she will text me after emailing the receipt to close the sale. Two business days later I'm still waiting. They now need to back date it so it applies to the correct calendar year. Obviously priorities of their customers don't matter after the sale is done. Also having buyer's regret based on other reviews of glasses being overpriced. Bought 3 pairs of glasses at Costco (without insurance!) for about $450. Two of the 3 pairs were Coach brand. read more

The check-in process is fast and they even send you messages regarding your appointment. The office isn't huge, but they do a great job regarding COVID precautions such as sanitizing their equipment and limiting amount of patients. My main optometrist is Dr. Kyaw and she is great! Judy is also amazing because she was the first one that did my first contact lens fitting. They all provide quality patient care and are really friendly to me. I got a recommendation for this place from a friend. I've never had a regular Optometrist before and I have a general fear of people near my eyeballs, so its always a hunt to find a new doctor each year. But after I came here, a strange thing happened... I went in for a Doctor, I came out with a bunch of new friends. Shortly after my first visit, my wife changed her regular doctor to come to Bella too. She has a much longer history with Optometrists than I do and she'll never go anywhere else now. Having not had my eyes checked in a long time, I decided to give Bella Eye Care a try. The staff were very friendly and I was extremely lucky in snagging a last-minute appointment today. Just a note: you have to schedule an appointment to be seen! I was greeted by a kind woman who was very thorough and entertaining during the pre-workup. A good thing to know is that this place uses a handheld machine instead of the "traditional eye puffer" to check your eye pressure, which is way more comfortable than having your eye blasted with air every time! Afterwards, I was given an opportunity to browse their selection while Dr. Allison was preparing. The office is well-organized, clean, and spacious, and there are many frames to choose from. Only a few minutes had passed, and Dr. Allison was ready to see me. She was very friendly, attentive, and energetic! Much more than any optometrist I have seen before! The eye exam was quick but thorough, and the machines this place uses is high-end and more precise than what I remember using back then. Afterwards, I perused through their selection again. The staff kindly encouraged to try on any glasses that I would like, and to leave them on the table or in the box so that those glasses could be thoroughly sanitized. That's a plus knowing they care about keeping things clean! While browsing, it was warming to hear the staff having a genial conversation as if they were family, which made the overall atmosphere feel friendlier than the last optometry place I was at! Eventually, I settled on a pair of Dragon glasses. The technician was quick and kind in her measurements and explaining my options with different lenses, along with what my insurance can cover. She was clearly well-experienced and provided me a professional guess of the composition of my current lenses since I had forgotten. That helped me make an educated decision on the type of lenses that I wanted. I was given an estimate of 10-14 days for the glasses to be ready for pick-up. Overall, I am very satisfied with this easily accessible optometry office here in Newark! This review is long overdue. After a recent health scare that could have potentially left me with one functioning eye, I'm relieved that all is well. This, of course, is all thanks to the awesome care from Dr. Judy.  The entire staff at Bella is incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. Usually after I arrive and check-in, there's a few minutes of browsing before I'm called inside. Who likes to wait around? Not me. Also never felt pressure to make a purchase.  Couple of years ago I made a switch in contacts after Dr. Judy's recommendation. I already had top of the line but the doc knows my eyes, what can I say. The new contacts worked better for me, just like she said they would. Probably a customer for life.
