We scheduled our yearly exam with the front desk receptionist. She was nice and friendly. She worked with our schedule knowing that we were coming from out of town. She gave us their earliest appointment on a Saturday. The day of our appointment, when we checked in, a staff member asked that we used hand sanitizer, they took our temperature right at the front door and asked us Covid related questions. As she was doing that, I noticed another girl wiping down and sanitizing the tables, chairs then countertops by the display cases. They told us any glasses that we try on and do not want to put in the tray that was on the counter. That way they can disinfect them before it goes back on the shelf. When Doctor Nguyen took me back, she asked me questions about my eyes. If I felt my vision has changed. I told her my concerns about my eyes. They were stinging sometimes and get I get watery eyes. She looked into my eyes with her machine to check my vision and did other stuff to check my eyes. The pictures she showed me of my eyes were really cool! She told me my eyes were very dry and that I need to do warm compression massages to squeeze out the oil from the glands. She recommended to get a warm damped towel and leave it on my eyes and massage in circular motion. As always, she's very sweet and patient. She very knowledgeable as well. This is her passion and I can tell she loves her job. They still do have a lot of collection of glasses to select from. My husband had a hard time picking his. His try on tray was very full because he liked so many! He had a hard time deciding. He eventually decided on one after we were done with our eye exam. They really made my family and I feel safe. They went out of their way and took precautions to disinfect all the areas needed. They wiped down the machines I used before and after. I still recommend this place and will continue to come back! My 2.5/3 hour drive is worth it for my eyes! read more

Our family of 5 have been seeing Dr Nguyen for 10+ years. We feel we get the best care for our vision. The Dr is patient and explains thoroughly vision issues, every time. This time I also had a retina scan done. This is highly recommended as it takes photos of the eyes to show any potential issues. The retina scan is much better than dilation that would require driving with darkened sun glasses. But for the last year, I have been trying to get an appointment with her office, yet all I'd get is the voicemail stating that it'll be best to text the number provided from the voicemail. If I have to put 0 stars I would. I'm just very upset with the staff here. I asked for a prescription for a different brand of contact lens, but they told me that I would have my eyes fitted for contact lens again when my prescription was only in November 2021. I was pretty upset because they did it to me before and the staff said that their policies have changed. Okay, that's understandable but i I wish I knew that policy or at least it was emailed or said to me during my visit. But no, never. That's what I'm most upset about. Yes, they can change their policies but at least let the patients know. Also, it's hard for them to answer the phone and call you back. Also had an appointment with Dr. Linh when she kinda yelled at me when I asked her a question. She was nice when I first started but towards the end, she's not. Dr Nguyen is the best! She's great at explaining what's needed for your prescriptions/frames/lenses/contacts and why it's best for you. I did not feel like she was just trying to sell me the newest technological advancements in optometry but more so of helping me take better care of my eyes. This is my second eye appointment EVER, but my first visit with Dr Nguyen. I received care from Kaiser but never has kaiser gone into deep explanation of why I need what I need. I had no idea my eyes were dry and had calluses (I didn't even know this could happen). I also was told that my sclera are mildly damaged from the sun. That's 2 very important facts I've learned from Dr Nguyen that I never learned in my whole life. She suggested that I buy polarized sunglasses to help better see and protect my eyes from the sun. We always talk during my visits, which makes me feel more at ease about a visit to the doctors' office. The staff is always nice and her place is clean and organized. I appreciate how I don't feel pressured to get my glasses and contacts from her office, but if I do need to there is a wide selection to choose from. The location is nice and convenient as well. Next door is a boba spot to grab a drink while you wait for your appointment or a treat for afterwards. I've been a patient of their practice for almost three years now, and I didn't have any problems with them until my recent visit. First of all I love Dr. Nguyen, she is professional, funny and down to earth; however this bad review is solely due to my latest experience there with the front desk staff. About a couple weeks ago I drop by having them adjust my loose frame for me, they took my glasses to the back for adjustment; a couple minutes later came back and told me they broke it trying to adjust it. They told me they will call the manufacturer to order me a new frame but that process will take a week or so. I left with my back up glasses that was kept in the car (thank god for that) About 20 minutes later I received a call from them telling me since the frame is more than 2 years old it has been discontinued, and the broken frame is considered as normal tear and wear. The only thing they can do for me is to glue it back for me. As I was in complete shock all I could do was asking them "all you can do is to glue it back??". No further apology or anything from them. I was so upset I send my husband back there the following day to pick up my glasses (and yes they did glue it back for me, I guess I should have thank them for saving me the work?) Two weeks later I was still bother by this whole event as I now have a broken frame that was glue back together so I don't think I can have it adjust ever again without breaking it. So I decided to call them and asked to speak to Dr. Nguyen directly because I am curious what she thinks about this situation. (As I really believe my frame wouldn't be broken if they have been more careful while adjusting it, and to blame it on normal tear and wear is just hard to believe.) They told me that she wasn't available and took a message for me, and it's been almost a week I still hasn't gotten a call from them. I am starting to look for another optometrist office now since I need a new pair of glasses and 20/20 image optometry doesn't seems to care about their patient/customer. read more

Dr. Nguyen is awesome! Not only is she the best optometrist I've been to, I wish all other medical professionals I go to were more like her! I was about 30 weeks pregnant when I went to Dr. Nguyen's office for the first time because my prescription needed to be updated. The office is very clean. Mandy at the front desk was very helpful, she didn't come off as abrasive at all, like the other reviews had mentioned. She was able to answer my questions about billing and the process of ordering new glasses. Dr. Nguyen did the eye exams and was very personable throughout the whole experience. She told me that a pregnant woman's eyesight can change after she gives birth, so she recommended that I come in for another eye exam after my baby is born. Since my insurance only covered one eye exam a year, she told me she wouldn't charge me for the second exam. Fast forward to 3 months later.. I came into the office for the second exam and the first thing that Dr. Nguyen said to me upon seeing me was "Sally! How is the baby??" Keep in mind that this was only the second time I've been in her office, ever, and although my name and pregnancy was probably written in the doctor's notes somewhere, I was very impressed! Got my eye exam done, vision didn't change, and no charge. :) She is also very knowledgeable and answered every single question I had, whether it was about my astigmatism, prescriptions and pregnancy, how my glasses fit, my dry eyes.. everything! Dr. Linh's office is great. I received friendly and competent advice, more than sufficient for my five-star rating. My wife and I have been happy patients here since 2009. I just got new rigid contacts lenses. I also get my eyes examined here. My myopia puts me at risk for retina disorders and requires biennial checkups. Dr. Linh is a professional eye doctor with ultra-modern equipment. The office is new, clean and pleasant. The doctor and her assistant Mandy can be a little abrupt, but it would be silly to think twice about it. Many good doctors care more about their patient's medical condition than about how they feel. Good eyeglass selection. It was only here that we found plastic frames with separate nose pads (they fit better on smaller Asian noses). read more

I called for an appointment a 2020 Image Optometry for a vision exam and was given an appointment on the same day. The staff is very professional and the inside is very clean. There was very little wait time and I saw the optometrist in about 10 minutes after some standard pre-tests The optometrist [Linh Nguyen O.D] was very professional and very thorough.. She has a contagious laugh and a cheerful personality. She answered any questions I had and I didn't feel at all like the appointment was rushed. First let me say I've been 'seeing' the doctor sence 2009! She's not only a great doctor but someone with true compassion when it comes to your personal needs... I'm surprised and not surprised by these 4-star and 5-star reviews. The surprise is only because I rarely see such praise for any doctors/dentists/optometrists on here. This one is very much deserved. Dr. Linh is very knowledgeable and friendly. I'm always nervous for eye exams given my near-sightedness but she made me feel quite comfortable. I went here because it had amazing reviews. And let me tell you, I see why! They were running behind but definitely kept me in the loop and was super nice about it. The doctor was super thorough as well as her assistant. When the exam was done for both of my girls, the doctor even helped my oldest daughter pick out glasses and took her time and even got glasses out from the back to ensure that she was getting the right frame for her face. Overall I like the consistency and quality of care that I recieve at 20/20. I feel that the receptionist is a bit abrupt and sometimes not very friendly.
