    I'm not only furious with this company, but I'm mostly so unbelievably disappointed in them…read more It has been six months that I have been trying to get both my Gucci and Tom Ford glasses to either have the right fitted lenses or not be warped. With all the many times I have went there to pick up these glasses they didn't even check to see if they were done correctly. I believe they were hopping I wouldn't notice. Every time the glasses came in which never was together I had to rearrange my schedule when my time is very limited. I'm a mother and I don't live close by. It took them 2 months to even get me the Gucci's the first time that had to return again multiple times because they kept messing up the lenses. Ultimately they had to reimburse me because they were unable fix the problem. I'm just disappointed because there was other stuff that happened besides both of those issues. They never fitted these glasses to my face so they would hit my cheeks which would have ending up fogging up the hot weather or have sweat gather and make them slide around. I had to find another pair that would fit correctly which I did when I got home, I noticed that the lenses were still not sitting correctly, so I ordered new lenses and went in today to have them put in the Tom Ford to find out that the reason the lenses weren't fitting is because the frame was warped. They said they would reimburse me for these glasses, which they should do, but unfortunately now I have no driving glasses. OMG so much time has been wasted in the last 6 month to not even have one pair of driving sun glasses. I know this is a really long review, but with how bad my experience was I hope you are aware that this could be your experience. I know for a fact, that I'm not the only customer that has had this problem.

My experiences have consistently been exceptional, which led me to transfer our care to her new location in Fremont. Two years ago, I encountered an unfamiliar situation regarding my eye exam and contact lenses for the first time. As I was new to the process, I felt a bit lost. After receiving my glasses, I decided to visit another optometry office for my contact lens prescription and exam to avoid the hassle of returning to Fremont constantly, especially since I live quite a distance away. However, I found that making the trip once a year for my family's check-ups was reasonable. Last year, my children, husband, and I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Young. She was incredibly kind and understanding, recommending that I consider both contact lenses and glasses during my visit. I appreciated her approach as it allowed me to take my time in making a decision without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. This year's experience exceeded my expectations. Just four days after purchasing new glasses, my daughter accidentally broke hers. However, Annel, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to assist us. Her kindness and attentiveness made me feel truly heard and valued. There was a moment where I contemplated switching to a different optometry office after two decades of loyalty, but after these recent positive interactions, I've decided to remain with Tri-City. Dr. Shital Chatwani rushes through the appointment, speaks down to the patient, does not answer questions clearly, and becomes visibly impatient when questions are asked. The entire interaction felt less like a medical appointment and the clear priority seemed to be getting the patient out quickly and into ordering expensive glasses, rather than taking time to explain things or address concerns. It honestly felt like dealing with a businessperson more than a doctor. Unfortunately, the poor experience did not stop with the doctor. The overall leadership and culture of this office seems weak, and it shows in the behavior of the staff. There are many employees walking around, yet when customers have questions, they often say "I'm busy" and walk away without offering to find someone else to help. In a professional practice, you would expect at least a basic effort to redirect you to another staff member. That simply does not happen here. The staff appear selectively nice to people they are trying to secure business from but otherwise the service is consistently rude, rushed, and unhelpful. The overall attitude is 'take it or leave it.' Even when there is no problem, you are treated with disregard. If there is a problem, I would not trust this office to handle it with care or professionalism. There are many excellent optometrists who accept VSP and other insurance plans. I strongly encourage people to look elsewhere and consciously choose to support a practice that actually respects its patients.
