10/03/25, at cruise port we stood in line and watched as thedriver, Willy, worked on a problem with the driver side forward cargo area door. He finally closed it and said it was ok and should be fine. Old, outdated buses, with multiple broken things (charging ports that are covered with duct tape, missing curtains). While I have not personally booked Crystal Transport, I have ridden on their buses multiple times with school/group events. One bus driver who I have had the unfortunate luck to have several times had almost gotten us into multiple accidents. Recently, he slammed on the brakes while someone was in the aisle, and that person went flying. They hit their head on the armrest and I think they had a concussion. This same driver refused to listen to directions from the trip leader, regarding where to park, and resulted in the group being significantly late. Had a great time with the driver and how professional he was. We were headed to foxwoods and the driver had showed us a movie and provided water and chips for the ride. We also had a newer bus that rode so smooth on the highway. I'd definitely use crystal again. The driver said we be in for a treat cuz they order new busses and showed me a picture of one of the . I can't say enough BAD things about Crystal Transport. Before moving on I want to notify all potential customers that they have moved locations to: 51 Industrial Drive Hyde Park, MA 02136 and this has not been reflected in their Yelp posting yet. My organization hired this company for a trip from Boston to New York City in April 2014. We were very clear with them about our pick up time, yet they arrived ONE HOUR LATE. We tried calling someone in management, but they were entirely unhelpful and could not even contact the bus driver to find out if he was close. Before our trip, I tried to ask one of the coordinators, Laura, for the contact information of the bus driver. I wanted to confirm with him myself the time that he would be arriving and be able to contact him in case he couldn't find our group at our pick-up location. Despite me asking for that MULTIPLE times, she never gave me that information, saying they didn't know who the bus driver was going to be yet. Even the night before, she wasn't sure who was going to drive the bus! How absurd! It shows their lack of organization. Because the bus arrived late, we were late for a company that our organization was supposed to be visiting, which put us at risk for losing thousands of dollars. After the trip, we contacted Crystal Transport multiple times to explain the situation that we were put in as a result of their failure to show up on time. They clearly did not care AT ALL. They made little effort to apologize, and eventually stopped responding to ask when we asked for a partial reimbursement for the service. Please, please, please DO NOT USE CRYSTAL TRANSPORT. You cannot trust them to show up on time. They are disorganized. They do not value their customers. read more

The WORST customer service I've ever received. My organization secured visits to prestigious New York companies to visit. Many of these companies gave large sponsorships to our organization. Because the bus showed up an HOUR LATE to our set departure time we missed a visit to one of the most important companies. This is simply INEXCUSABLE. Not only did they arrive extremely late to our set pick up time but the man that I was on the phone with to find where our bus was was incompetent and rude. The manager did not once apologize for the extraordinary inconvenience that he caused for a well-establish organization. The company did not even attempt to reimburse us for our troubles. Please please please STRAY FARRRRR AWAY from crystal transport. You will save yourself money and an emotional warfare. read more

If they were free, I wouldn't use Crystal Transport again. Absolute disaster. Minus 1 star for the bus being late to our wedding with all of the guests aboard (mechanical issues), minus 10 more for fully breaking down on the way home and marooning the guests on the South Shore at midnight, then subtract another 10 for attacking us when we called to ask for a partial refund. For my wedding, I chose Crystal to bus about 60 of my guests from Boston to Hingham and back. I chose them because they were ~10% cheaper than a couple of other bus companies I called. Now I know why. They lost our reservation, and when we called to 'confirm' a month before the wedding we ended up having to make a new booking. Then the bus was 30 minutes late picking up our wedding guests, resulting in a delay of our wedding. After the reception, the real problems began. The bus picked up my guests from the reception at 11pm and departed around 11:30 or so. About 1 mile into the 12 mile trip back to Boston, the bus broke down (the breaks locked up - safe!) and stranded my guests on the side of the road for almost an hour while the company sent a back-up bus. Mistakes happen, and I owed it to Crystal to make it right before blasting them in a public forum such as this, so my husband and I gave them a call and asked to speak to a manager. Enter Linda, a peach of a woman who has a upper management written all over her! My husband asked her if she was aware of the situation from our wedding night, and she immediately began attacking us before we even told her why we were calling. First she denied that bus was late. Then she said that when the bus had broken down, everyone on the bus was having fun waiting for the new bus (which some were, not because of the driver but because I'm lucky enough to have friends who can take a potentially bad situation and find a way to turn it around), and that mechanical mistakes happen and that we should just accept that. Then she told me my sister was out of control because she was trying to get the driver to update her on the status of the new bus. She also complained that she was inconvenienced with a call at 12:30am...poor thing. Try getting that same call on your wedding night when your 94 year-old grandmother is on board! When I told her that her explanation was not good enough, she said that I "must be really broke if I'm asking for money back." Wow. She really went there? Yep, she did. Then she asked us to call back tomorrow because she'd be able to see if the bus really was late, and we told her we couldn't because we're leaving tonight for our honeymoon. She asked where we were going, and I told her Zurich (which is kind of a lie because we only connect through Zurich, but I didn't really feel the need to tell her the details of my honeymoon). Then she told me that I must have a really good job to be able to afford that. First I'm broke, and then I have a good job? I hope my personal finances continue on the trajectory she insinuated during the 10 minutes of this call! She followed on to patronize my husband and me about how luxurious and fun our honeymoon will be. It's a honeymoon - where did she think we would go? Quincy? Crystal charges a surcharge if you pay by credit card, so we paid with a check. If for some god-unknown reason you decided to go with Crystal, PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD! At least then you'll have some recourse if they fail to provide the services they promised. read more

For your own safety pay more for another company!!! During the potential October 2011 snow storm, Crystal sent a bus without operational defrost. The friendly bus driver wiped the window with a cloth. He was looking through a small section of the window while the snow fell heavily. What an unsafe feeling. Add to that the DVD player wasn't working so we couldn't even watch a movie to take our minds off of the uneasy feeling of driving blind. No stars if that was possible. read more

I was shocked by Crystal Transport's disorganization and lack of empathy. I was part of a group traveling from Boston to NYC, and the bus arrived an hour late for our departure. We had tried calling the night before to get the driver's contact information, but they still did not know who they would use for the driver. As a result, we missed a company meeting, which reflected poorly on our organization and cost us sponsorship money. Not respectful of my community/neighborhood. I live on a zoned residential street with a commercial vehicle restriction in Waltham (which was not sized or designed for busses!) and their drivers continually use my neighborhood street as a cut through when traveling to Bentley. I've called and it doesn't seem to make any difference. read more

I would not recommend booking with this company. I scheduled buses for my event back in July. I confirmed with them and I even have a contract with them. I called 2 days prior to my event and they said my trip was canceled over a month ago. I never canceled this trip and they didn't have a reason for why it was canceled. On top of that, they said they were completely sold out and couldn't help me. The woman I spoke to was so rude and acted like it was my fault. She claimed that they tried to contact me but they were not able to reach me. I confirmed both my phone number and email address with her. They had the correct information, but somehow I never heard from them. read more

A follow up on my experience with Crystal Transportation located at Guest Street in Boston. Yesterday 11/17/2011 we once again used the services of Crystal transportation for a planned trip to Twin Rivers Casino in Rhode Island. The chartered bus arrived before 9:30 AM as requested. Mr Chan was the driver he was a courteous, professional driver. we all relaxed enjoying the hour plus trip. Once again my experience with Lynda, Stacy and the rest of the Crystal staff was first class. All i can further add is , we will for a certainty use Crystal on our next trip. Neither safety or accountability when it comes to Crystal Transport! My wife almost died thanks to one of their angry drivers and the terrible design of the bus. The driver didn't even ask if she was alright . She needed three surgeries for internal injuries, lost her job because of the accident and lives with pain every day. Over two hundred thousand dollars worth of medical bills & Linda, the owner never responded. I have NO DOUBT Crystal Transport donates $$$ to the right legislators to get the contracts at these schools. Our family misses their mama the way she was before the accident. Time to start fighting to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. It may cost a little more but providing a safe vehicle, attentive and NON AGGRESSIVE DRIVERS and taking responsibility if you severely injure someone is the cost of doing business. read more

Unfortunately, my wife and I were involved in an extremely dangerous situation with a Crystal Transport bus on Rt. 3 south on January 20, 2018, at approximately 3:48 in the afternoon. I was in the flow of traffic in the left lane when Crystal Transport bus # 5643, plate # 94324 pulled up alongside of me in the middle lane. He immediately edged over into the left lane, nearly crushing us between the bus and the cement barriers. I leaned on my horn and he completely ignored me. Fortunately, the driver behind me, unlike the CT driver was paying attention and when I jammed on my brakes he was able to swerve into the middle lane. The CT bus floored it and sped off down the highway. Either the driver was inattentive or just plain reckless. He nearly caused a fatal accident. read more

Do not use this bus company. I cannot emphasize enough the absolute lack of disorganization and atrocious customer service this company has. Our organization was traveling from Boston to NYC, and they were an hour late. Even the night before, the company did not know who the bus driver would be. When they were an hour late, we tried calling the company but received little to no assistance in the matter. As a result of this company's failure to show up on time, we missed a company meeting that cost us money. Since then, the company has done nothing to rectify the situation. The most unsafe bus company possible, you're better off walking. My mother was injured seriously on one of their buses, like open-heart surgery injured. She went flying 10 FEET into the accordion like thing in the middle of the bus. The bus driver didn't do anything. Not even ask if she was okay. They have proceeded to do nothing and not pay a dime. Completely incompetent, disrespectful, awful bus company. Like I said walk or take the T. Crystal Transport is run horribly, the buses are designed horribly, and overall, the worst decision possible to ride on one of these buses, that is unless you have $200,000+ to pay for the medical bills. I hired Crystal Transport to bring 55 kids from a bar mitzvah to a reception this past weekend and they were fantastic. I called a number of bus companies over the last 6 weeks and it was almost impossible to speak with a human at any of them EXCEPT Crystal Transport. I left messages and very few got back to me. One actually called me a month later on the day before my event. I went with Crystal Transport because their price was great and they were reachable. I really wouldn't have much confidence in a service that doesn't answer their phones. They followed through with me the week before the event to make sure the logistics were all correct and on the day of our party, they were onsite about half an hour earlier than the time I gave them (which they had told me would be the case on the phone). The driver knew exactly where he was going, the bus was clean, and the price was right. Really couldn't ask for better service. I'm not typically one to write reviews, but given the other reviews I've read here I felt it was important to let people know that my experience with Crystal Transport not only exceeded my expectations, but was stellar, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody. read more
