She thought of everything and reminded me to enjoy all the moments. My husband will not stop raving about Gerald, G. He is attentive, friendly and was on top of everything. He went above and beyond to make sure the groomsmen had everything they needed from the morning to the evening. Then we met our Maitre'd', Mikheil--and he was OUT OF THIS WORLD. He runs the show, and he runs it flawlessly. You don't have to think about a single detail because Mikheil has it covered before you even know you need it. His experience and intuition make the entire event seamless. And the food... beyond incredible. The presentation, the quality, the flavors--everything is superb. This was our third event at the Crystal and it was absolutely perfect. We kept returning because the service and the people are amazing. Not only are you treated like VIP, but everyone is incredibly kind and thoughtful. Max was a pleasure to work with and his attention to details was not only appreciated in the beautiful cake pops at the end of the night, but was paramount for mine and my older daughter's safety since we have food allergies. We were comfortably able to eat everything (and boy did we eat everything!) The penthouse was a great place to feel pampered as we got ready for the Bat Mitzvah and the ballroom was stunning. We've held the cocktail party in both the bar location as well as upstairs. Both are pretty special, but I'm fond of the bar atmosphere. My parents got married at the Crystal Plaza 50 years ago today! When it came time to planning their 50th anniversary party, my mom didn't want to hear about any venue other than the Crystal Plaza. The Crystal Plaza offers small, private dinner parties in their Vault (aka Groom's Suite), which could be the most amazing room I have ever seen. We were 12 people with kids as young as 7 and we all had an incredible time. There is a pool table, a simulator that offers golf, bocce and an array of different games, the food was exquisite and the staff (yes, we have a full dedicated staff) was so attentive. I cannot say enough about the staff. They anticipated our every need - before we even knew we needed it! It was a well-oiled operation. Now to Allen and Max. There is something to say about a family run establishment that has been operating for over 100 years. They know what they are doing and it shows. This place threw a spectacular wedding and reception for our son and daughter-in-law! Their attention to detail was over the top! The food stations and passed appetizers were incredible, as was the sitdown plated dinner! Everything was timed to a tee, and we did nothing but relax and enjoy because they did it all that night! They also worked very well And closely with my son and daughter-in-law during the planning stages and helped them every step of the way with suggestions, and even offered extra unexpected freebies to my son and daughter-in-law! I attended the Crystal Plaza because of a family wedding and here's my review of the food and services I experienced on that special day. Below is an account of my experience and not all things that happened is liable to the company. The overall building and area looks lovely; it goes the same internally as well. Once inside, we were directed to a lounge area for cocktail service and a large array of appetizers. For the next hour or two, everyone eat a vast array of foods that included Italian pasta, sliders, charcuterie, and fresh shellfish. Because we were never notified of how the wedding is supposed to go down, it was rather odd that we would dine and then headed towards out to then witness the wedding. The charcuterie was decent, but the shellfish was very small; I barely got any meat out of it. The servers weren't doing a decent job with serving the pasta as a server struggled to scrape out the pasta from the parmesan wheel because they didn't have a means to properly melt the cheese. They started out with alcohol and fire, but didn't use a heat lamp or a torch to keep the wheel hot for continued serving; I got cold pasta with lumpy cheese. The sliders and fries were a hit and we kept running out of them and the employees took their time refilling them. The wedding was underwhelming as the violinist was playing off tune. After the bride and groom completed the wedding, the camera man failed to take photos of the family. There were 3-4 generations of family members there that day and the closest group picture of the entire family made wasn't made by the photographer, but a family member with their cell phone. If the camera man was part of Crystal Plaza, that was a terrible job. After eating all those appetizers, we had a main dinner meal and it was underwhelming. The Chateaubriand was small, poorly seasoned, and not enough sauce. In fact, the overall dinner wasn't tasty and rather bland. My entire family missed the cocktail service as we had more food choices than what we're having. In between this whole time, there DJ host kept the family busy by getting people to dance on the floor and they had a photo booth in the corner. As the night winded down, they had a whole cart of sweets to end the night. Overall, I would give the food and dining experience a C because nearly everything they presented could've been better. The serving staff wasn't attentive and didn't bother to check on our experience. While it would be a nice place to book for the space, the kitchen team was off their game. I actually left the party to get my own food because despite the amount of food served, not much of it was worth my time eating. The toilet was also a mess as it was filled with urine on the seats and some missing toilet paper; I had to find it myself to cleanly exit. Overall, I would never reserve a place like this, too superficial without quality work. read more

We had incredible support throughout the planning process, but the hands-on help on the day of the event was incredible. Both the bride's and groom's attendants were fantastic. PROS: Very beautiful place! Great cocktail hour room and beautiful ballroom. Staff is very nice and they are really clean. Bathrooms are elegant, they have a private room called the vault with it's own bar, pool table, barbers chair, virtual golf game, and the bathroom even has a heavy bag. CONS: The steak were able to tell was under cooked and at one point frozen and they forgot my order. Crystal Plaza is a well-run machine. Every staff member is attentive, but not in your way, kind, but not too nice where it felt fake, and they seem like they truly enjoy working together and for each other. As a bride, I was completely unaware of any minor problems that went on the day off. Everything was smoothed over and I just focused on enjoying my wedding day. The food was beautiful! I had scheduled a tour at Crystal Plaza as I continue my search for a wedding venue. It was pretty easy to schedule one as I had inquired online and had received a response within the same day to arrange a tour. Crystal Plaza is located within a residential area and upon entering, it may look small on the outside. But once inside I was super surpised at how large of a property it was. We had waited in a cocktail room space, and was welcomed by Max and began our tour. Max had taken us room by room starting with the cocktail hour rooms and both were spacious and showed where the food stations would be located. And then proceeded to the ballroom where they were preparing for a wedding for that evening. The ballroom had beautiful crystal chandeliers on the ceilling. I am a sucker for chandeliers. And they had a large dancefloor which was also a plus. They have an indoor and outdoor ceremony space and both spaces were beautiful. One of the plus sides for me was that they had a bridal and groom suites. Unfortunately we were not able to see the suites as there was a wedding party getting ready. I def liked that as I defintely want to just get ready at the venue and not worry about getting the wedding party from one place to another. After the tour, we met with Max and we discussed our dates and estimated guest count. We also were able to see their food options and everything sounded delicious with many options! Max was able to answer all of our questions and also showed us photos of the ballroom from previous events. I would like to start off by my saying how stressful it was to plan and postpone a wedding during the pandemic. We originally booked with Crystal Plaza in December 2019 for our wedding in July 2020. Due to Covid restrictions we had to reschedule twice! It was so frustrating and upsetting especially because I did not want to alter the vision I've had my whole life and settle for anything less than our dream wedding. Ronnie and the Crystal Plaza staff was beyond understanding, accommodating, and available throughout the entire process. Ronnie was very honest and upfront about this unprecedented situation as the country and state was regressing and progressing during the different stages of the pandemic. We spoke often about my concerns and she ALWAYS did her best to make us feel like she and the staff truly cared. Thankfully, due to the vaccine, the virus has been contained and we saw a light at the end of the tunnel. Our dream wedding finally happened on June 6, 2021 and it was truly the best day of our lives! It was so perfect due to the amazing staff, venue, food, creative and unique accommodations, preferred vendors, etc. Our bridal and groom attendant were so kind and helpful in assisting all of the vendors, bridal parties and families, and most importantly my husband and I. They made sure we were not anxious and completely took care of any last minute nuisances that arose. We had our ceremony at Crystal Plaza so my husband and I used their facilities to get ready. The bridal suite was something out of a magazine and truly made the morning so magical. The lighting was perfect for photos and if you have a larger wedding party I highly suggest getting ready at the bridal suite! Our guests were ranting and raving about the delicious and out-of-the-ordinary stations during cocktail hour. Even the entrees were beyond our expectations! We choose the traveling treats which kept our party lively and dancing the entire time and also gave a unique spin on desserts! We added extras such as an ice cream truck, shot factory, and a Dallas Cowboys ice luge which made our party stand out from any other wedding we have attended. Our guests could not stop talking about these special additions! We also had amazing vendors who worked so well with the Crystal plaza staff. In conclusion, there was no stone unturned this entire day. My husband and I cannot say enough about our wedding day and the whole process leading up it. Crystal Plaza nailed last nights wedding on all counts. The physical layout is impressive, they kept the many rooms cool in the oppressive heat/humidity we've been suffering, valet parking was military grade efficient too! And the food and drink was top shelf all the way. I've never seen such a spread, so tastefully done. Shrimp, crab claws, oysters-check! Martini station, with at least a dozen gin/vodka choices (top shelf, of course)-check! Passed hors d'oeuvres of every type-check! It went on and on, at least a dozen stations serving, well, everything! Dinner was equally impressive, and the several captains roaming the room (with Secret Service like earphones communicating with staff and the kitchen) made sure everything flowed. And while I've enjoyed the occasional Viennese table, I've never seen a Viennese room! Again, at least a dozen stations. They even served mini zeppole, and served them in a paper bag, like those Italian street fairs I remember as a child! Stuffed to order cannolis! Crepes to order! Waffle cups with delicious ice cream! Wonderful in every way. Attended a wedding here. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and attentively. That didn't end all night. We were doted on by the fantastic staff who made us feel like celebrities all night. The level of service was clearly superior to the place we held the rehearsal dinner, which is regarded as a peer competitor in the same area. The groomsmen were escorted to the vault, which is the ultimate man cave. I did not want to leave and attend the ceremony! It was so cozy and relaxing. Every food station offering was one of the best versions of that food that I've tasted and the variety was fantastic. Tequila shots in hollowed out limes? Yes please! The meatballs were every bit as good as grandma's. My mouth still waters for the short ribs and BBQ sauce. For the main course, the reception hall is just stunning and the food, again, amazing. Bar tenders? They were dancing and enhancing the already festive mood. The staff even asked us if we wanted seconds of dinner! As if I wasn't already stuffed from each exquisite bite that came before. When it was all over, the staff asked us if we wanted the leftovers! From the cocktail hour, dinner, dessert, everything! No cooking for a couple days! A wonderful, memorable wedding was had at the Crystal Plaza in large part to the caring experts running that place. Feedback from our guests is overwhelmingly positive. I got married at the Crystal Plaza in June and it was truly a dream come true. Everything was absolutely perfect and better than I could have ever envisioned. I received texts/calls from the majority of my guests saying how incredible the wedding was and that it was the best one they have ever been to by far. The Staff: To me, this is where the Crystal Plaza really shined. Every staff member I met from inquiry through the event was so attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Max was the mastermind behind the entire event and I am so happy I got to work with him. Max thought about every single detail of the wedding to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it, he offered his expertise and input whenever I needed help, and answered my endless emails and calls so quickly. Ryan was my matree d and made the day run so smoothly. He made sure everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be. The Food: This was another thing that really set the Crystal Plaza apart from other venues. The food from cocktail hour, to dinner, desserts and after party were all fantastic. I hope I get invited to another wedding there so I can have the crab claws and Chilean sea bass again. Food was another thing that ALL of our guests complimented after the wedding. The Ceremony: We originally had our ceremony set up for outside in their gardens but 30 minutes before the ceremony, it started to rain so we needed to move inside. Their new indoor ceremony room is stunning, modern and bright. The 60ft skylights and lit up marble walls set the perfect ambiance for our ceremony, and all the guests were happy with AC. Luckily we were still able to take pictures in the gardens earlier in the day which are full of colorful flowers, lots of greenery, a gazebo and a fountain. The Reception: This was the highlight of the evening for me. The grand ballroom has high ceilings with beautiful chandeliers and a great lighting package that covers EVERYTHING. Max and team recommended the best way to set up the reception and provided their thoughts on the best timeline for the night and I am so happy I took their advice. Everything was flawless. If you're interested in tossing a bouquet, the Crystal Plaza is the best place to do it as you throw it from a balcony that looks over the whole ballroom. After Party: We had our after party in the ceremony room. Max was able to change the lighting on the marble walls from the elegant white during the ceremony to switching colors for the after party which gave it a club vibe. A few people stopped into the after party to say goodbye but ended up staying when they saw the new set up with Jell-O shots and more food. I would highly recommend that everyone extends their wedding to have an after party. Bridal Suites: Both the groomsmen vault and bridal suite were recently renovated and are the most vast and elaborate rooms I've seen. The bridal suite is huge (the biggest in NJ) and has everything you could want from food and drinks all day to lockers for each girl, massage chair, countless mirrors and a full service salon. The vault was perfect for my husband and his friends. They had their own grooms attendant and constant flow of food and drinks but also a golf simulator, pool table and arcade games. We almost had to drag the boys out of there to take pictures. Everything about the Crystal Plaza was a dream come true. We had our wedding here on 4/6/24 and could not be happier with our experience. Guests are still talking about the food and how great the wedding was! Iris was a pleasure to work with and helped us plan from day one in August 2023 to our April wedding 8 months later. She answered every email and phone call with patience and helped until the very end plan the wedding of my dreams. I was in the bridal suite with my bridemaids starting at 8:30am and Ariel and Chloe were the best attendants. They assisted and helped me and my party with whatever needed. Chloe was fantastic getting me in and out of the vehicle to the church and helped with anything I could possibly need until the end of the night. Mikheal was the lead Maitre D and him and his team were absolutely wonderful, and constantly refilling drinks for me and even my parents! Crystal goes above and beyond to make your day special and unforgettable. Other reason why I chose this venue is they only do one wedding at a time and you have the option to use their amazing bridal suite space and the vault. Great for pictures, room to get ready- and plenty of hang out space. If you're on the fence- Book here! You will not regret it. Five stars is not even close to a high enough rating to truly explain how absolutely amazing Crystal Plaza is. I know many brides say they had the best wedding... it has been three weeks since my wedding and my husband and I are still receiving messages "that was absolutely the best wedding I have ever been to." I never imagined having as amazing of a day as I did. Absolute perfection. From start to finish. Planning with Crystal Plaza was a dream for any bride - especially my Type A self. Max is just so accommodating and aims to make his customers as happy as they can be. Iris was so detail oriented I did not have a worry in the world about the little things - and she has the most calming energy. Talmia is so kind and responds so quickly to every email. The maitre'd team and attendants are the highest quality staff around. We started our morning in the bridal suite. My first attendant checked on me so often making sure I had everything I needed. She even checked on all the other girls (all 22 of them...). They gave us breakfast and lunch all while we were getting ready. The same is to be said for my husband! All of the guys had a blast in the groom's suite! Golf simulator, pool table, barber chair, you name it they've got it. They were just as attended to and pampered. I was on my way to the church when I realized I forgot my marriage license (YIKES) - I called Crystal Plaza in a panic... I'll have you know they went up to the suite, through my mess of belongings, found it and brought it out to the car as we pulled back into the driveway. I mean they truly know how to put out any fire. When we all returned back from the church, they had a mini cocktail hour set up for the entire bridal party in the Atrium. They had drinks going and everyone was entertained. Once we were done with pictures they had a whole room set up for my husband and I to enjoy a few moments of quiet. They brought us a sample of everything at cocktail hour and drinks. It was so nice to reflect on our day in a moment alone. My husband actually took a power nap... Throughout the reception we were never unattended. Ashley and G were fixing my lipstick, handing me and my husband a new drink whenever we turned around, making sure we were eating. They even made sure the parents were happy. At one point we were dancing and my husband was sweating... I kid you not his attendant walked up to him with a cold wet towel. They knew I was gluten free and had me covered at all times. There was not a single thing they missed. Now this is all great... but I have not even touched on the food. I have never been to a wedding and actually enjoyed every single thing I ate. Cocktail hour... my god amazing. Dinner... who ever goes to a wedding and says their dinner was out of this world?!... best steak I ever had! Dessert - No words to explain how amazing. For cocktail hour our guests complimented everything, but these the most: lamb chops, cheeseburger sliders, whole pig, bao buns, raw bar, mac and cheese, quesadillas. For appetizer we did the 5 compartment plate - people keep saying they have never seen anything like it. Shot Carts!!! We had 2 shot carts on the dance floor... this got everyone loosened up. The dance floor was packed the entire night. Dessert - you MUST do the Traveling Treats. People never had to stop dancing. Over 15 desserts came to the dance floor and every table. I am telling you people dancing with ice cream cones, donuts, brownies, milkshakes, cannolis. Insane. And my husband and I had 2 of everything waiting for us on our table. This is 10000x better than Viennese hour. This kept everyone on the dance floor, and still gave them all the desserts. Italian Bakery Finale... MUST HAVE. People still say this was so cool. Everyone filled a box of the treats they wanted as they left. We had our after party upstairs and it was perfect. Little snack foods for all the tipsy friends. And an awesome balcony for cigars. There are simply no cons. I am begging friends to get married here so I can go back as a guest. You are treated as royalty from the moment you walk through the doors. Not a place in New Jersey can hold a candle to Crystal Plaza. So many venues are factories and constantly pump out the same wedding every single weekend. This was like nothing I had ever seen. My (now) husband and I just had our wedding at the Crystal Plaza in April 2023 and WOW WOW WOW, how happy I am that we chose their location. From the moment we came to the venue we knew it was the place we wanted to celebrate. They treat you as a part of their family. Max and his team supported us with every question and need throughout the entire planning process and connected us with the highest quality vendors. They also help you to make decisions that are the best for YOU and don't push you in any way shape or form. They want you to create your dream day and are there to make it happen. Then on the actual day of our event I felt like a true queen for the day. The bridal attendants and maitre d waited on us hand and foot and were so kind and personable. When the guests were finished with their drinks, a staff member was there in a moment's notice to take their glass and ask them if they wanted another. The team is impeccable and the food is NEXT LEVEL. My grandfather is an Italian man who is very particular about his food and his parties and he was floored by the quality of everything! You can even do your bouquet toss from the balcony and that was so much fun. The bridal attendant came upstairs with me and we were both so excited together, it was adorable! They round out the night with traveling treats that are passed out on the dance floor to keep everyone dancing until the final moments of the party and everyone was in love. I've never seen so many people on the dance floor at a wedding. There was so much love in the air. JUST DO IT!! I got the FB memories on my wedding reception at Crystal Plaza from 10 years ago yesterday. Looking back at the pictures from that day, what a great reception we had. Hence here I am writing a review 10 years later. Well, better late than never! Since it was so long ago, I forgot who we dealt with, but whoever that was (let's call him 'Mr CP') he was accommodating and really delivered what he had promised. From the smallest details in the beginning till the extravagant dessert buffet tables at the end of the night, IT WAS PERFECT! This turn of the century mansion is such an elegant and lovely venue! My husband and I fell in love with it as soon as we walked into the Grand Ballroom, then after 'Mr CP' showed us around and told us what would be on the cocktail hour menu, we knew we found the special place to celebrate our love with families and friends! We also liked that Crystal Plaza only hold one event at a time, that was really important in my opinion. Throughout the years we've heard from friends (even from my boss) that it was the best wedding reception they have ever been to, and the amazing ice-sculptures of vodka and martini bar was still in the talks from time to time! Only sad thing for me was being the bride on that day, I didn't get to eat much during the awesome cocktail hours (all the different food stations and unlimited lobster tails!!!). With that said, I really really really wish to be invited to a wedding at Crystal Plaza, and this time I can enjoy it as a guest! Attended a wedding here at the beginning of the year. What an amazing night! Cocktail hour food was delicious. My favorite was the sushi station. Guests got to pick from an assorted option of freshly made sushi and place them on cute mini boats. Forks? We all got our own chopsticks! My second favorite was the Mac and cheese station. Extra cheese? Why not! We were able to top our Mac and cheese with more then just extra cheese; bacon, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese etc. The venue itself was spacious. There was about 180-200 guests. All sat comfortably with enough space to walk between tables. A photo booth, live band and dj was also present and still spacious. Let's talk about the waiters! Each table had a main waiter/server. Behind that server was a team. All worked in great partnership to bring out food and drinks. No need to walk to the bar as our waiter quickly brought us all drinks. So impressive. Rodger you rocked!! The guest bathroom was another favorite of mine. It had lovely huge mirrors. Such an elegant room and great for bathroom selfies. Guest coat check was very well organized and quick to leave and pick up your coats. Valet parking was just as good. read more

I was in my best friends wedding last Friday and was impressed with the venue and the customer service- the employees from the valets to the bridal attendants to the wait staff are well trained and do their job with expert precision. It's hard to put into words how happy we were with Crystal Plaza as our wedding venue. The modern, elegant feel of the venue had us hooked as soon as we toured it. Ronni specifically was a huge factor as to why we felt our venue choice was the right one; it's not just about the venue but the people involved. Ronni led the entire process from day one. She was so accommodating and made sure anything we needed was taken care of with no concern. We can't thank her enough for all the work she put into making our perfect day. Every room, from the cocktail room to the ballroom to the bridesmaids suite to the vault (groomsmen suite) is sleek, classy and elegant. The look and feel of the venue speaks for itself, but Ronni and her team really went above and beyond to make our wedding special. The staff and Matre De were extremely attentive and our day flowed effortlessly. As far as the wedding itself, we're still getting comments from our friends and family on how delicious (and plentiful) the cocktail hour was, and got so many compliments on our add-ons like the Champagne Hand Wall and the sushi, as well as how accommodating the service was. Initially we had 2 bars for the guests, but being our guests were very excited to party, Ronni and her team opened up a third bar for us. This definitely left us and our guests happy as we had guests on the dance floor all night, rather than waiting on the bar lines. We would recommend Crystal Plaza a hundred times over!
