The venue is beautiful, we attended a winter wedding. There was a separate room almost like a barn with a beautiful wedding chapel (it was heated, and we were comfortable). When we entered, we were greeted with a champagne wall in the first room then walked into the chapel area. We then entered another building for the cocktail hour. It just snowed, so they gave a bus to transport the guests which was a great idea. The cocktail hour room has a coat rack, lots of tables and chairs, restrooms, and a bar. Spaced out in this big space was themed food and cocktails. Outstanding! This was the perfect wedding for a foodie. I did order steak for dinner but I wouldn't recommend it. Upstairs they have a big space for a dj, dancing, and tables of course! There was a fireplace in the middle of the room which we loved (it was right by the bar). Past that we later enjoyed a desert buffet and coffee bar. Staff was great and helpful. There's lots of parking, valet as well. Speaking of that, I didn't want to valet but they stopped my car and made me switch out. Apparently people were allowed to park but I got the guy that wouldn't allow it. The room we were in had stairs, I'm not sure if there's an elevator for those who need it. I would definitely ask. We had an amazing time and I would definitely come back again! read more

What can we say about Bear Brook?? We finally worked there for the first time in 2022 and had such an incredible time. The property is absolutely beautiful and we created some gorgeous fall photos for our couple. The best things about this venue are the grounds and most importantly- the food! I attended a wedding here a few months ago. For Brides that are into the whole rustic/farm vibe, this place is easily 5 stars Yelp worthy. The grounds and the interior are absolutely beautiful! What also amazed me was their selection of beer during cocktail hour! I have yet to see a venue with a beer selection like this one-close to being in par with an Ale house. Now if you are going for looks alone, perfect you found your venue! If you care about food being good I would be pretty concerned. For Cocktail hour there was an insane amount of food, unfortunately the quality of it was not at all where it should have been. Dinner unfortunately was much worse- hardly any of us touched our meal- it was absolutely terrible. I wasn't sure if it was just the day we went in particular that they were off with their food but I have talked to quite a few other people who went there for different weddings this past year and they have all said the same thing. DON'T DO IT. You will be legally bound to pay the money you were contracted for and make sure to take your money, but the venue isn't guaranteed to provide what you paid for. From top to bottom, almost the entirety of the inside of the venue from the bridal suite, cocktail hour, groomsman lounge or a better phrase would be LACK OF a groomsman lounge, they did complete renovations that they never once owned up to. Never once stated when signing that changes would be made to the venue besides an "addition that would not affect the look for feel of the venue" along with it "not affecting the wedding" yea, about that. The entire color scheme of the venue changed, let alone the look and feel, down to the floors. Went from soft, cozy barn feel to modern monstrosity. The menus, also changed. Want full access to the venue that was paid for? No longer applicable. Want to know what chabges your venue is making? Check Instagram, cause they wont tell you. You'll only find out through their social media. Don't expect an apology either, unless you count "im sorry you feel that way" and "we think its an upgrade" counts. Like I told the owners over the phone, we dont pay for your opinions. They clearly don't match mine, and my opinion cost $50,000. Opinions were made a year prior to your renovations happening, based on what you showed. Overall bad business, extremely shady, and honestly devastating considering it was my best friends dream venue and they truly ruined her entire wedding experience from beginning to end. read more

Just came here recently for a wedding reception. This place is absolutely gorgeous - is like a supersized modern cabin with beautiful wooden finishes. Everything is made out of wood and it's got a very rustic vibe. Getting in is a bit confusing because it's a gated community. But once you find it, it is even beautiful on the outside - nicely lit. I love that they are so spacious, there was enough room for everyone during cocktail hour. Staff was excellent, food was delicious. Woww what a venue!!! I was here last night as a guest of my friend's wedding. First I must say that this place was truly in the middle of nowhere, kind of felt like I was part of a horror movie driving in here but thankfully there were a lot of signs pointing the way toward the entrance. Right away the valet guys were very nice, I had to go back to my car a couple times to grab things and they were very helpful and efficient. The grounds of this venue are gorgeous and make for excellent pictures. The ceremony space outdoors was very picturesque with a brook behind it and rolling hills and valleys (ahhh, hence the name...) the inside of the venue was beautiful especially where the reception took place. Huge room with high ceilings, large windows overlooking the grounds, I hate being in an enclosed reception space (some banquet halls have no windows and I absolutely hate that, not this place, truly beautiful!). The cocktail hour was more like an hour and a half, the options were plentiful and the food was excellent! They had finger foods like chicken wings, Mac n cheese balls, hot pretzels, plus a taco bar, cheese and meat, clams (which were the absolute highlight for me, they were in like a light beer shallot sauce or something omg to die for!) the mussels marinara was great too. Onto the entree diner, I ordered the mahi mahi and if I had to nitpick anything it was the dinner. I wasn't crazy about it my fish was a bit too dry but who cares? I was so full from cocktail hour I didn't miss it. The Vianesse table was so good! They had a ton of desserts, the highlights were the ice cream bar and the boardwalk foods like deep fried Oreos, twinkies and zepoles, delicious!! All in all this is a top notch venue from start to finish. I loved the space and the service was excellent: highly recommend this venue for a wedding and hope I can come back again someday. read more

This was a really nice venue for my friend's wedding. They did a beautiful job, and it was very organized. The staff were attentive, and it was a nice venue for indoor and outdoor options. The pictures came out really nicely. They had a good set up for different food stations for the happy hour. They also had a good bar selection for either specific drinks related to the wedding party themes, on draft, or for craft cocktails. They had a good sized dance floor, and room for long tables to accommodate everyone. It was very clean, and everyone had a great time. Definitely worth checking out! read more

My husband and I researched venues throughout New Jersey and New York in search of the perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Bear Brook Valley was the most incredible venue that delivered the best wedding day we could have imagined. We wanted a day that was exceptional and extravagant without being stuffy; Bear Brook certainly provided the most upbeat, fun, lavish day. Logistically, Katrina is extremely organized and prompt; coordinating with her throughout the wedding process was truly a joy. She provided clear lists and benchmarks that helped keep us organized and on track with a timeline; she was so communicative that we did not need to hire a wedding coordinator outside of the venue. On our end, I have an extreme attention to detail (a little OCD!), and Katrina was on top of every last item that made it easy to give her full control and relax on the day of. Stylistically, Bear Brook allowed us to truly personalize the reception so that it felt like us. Everything from the food to the décor had nods to us as a couple. On the day of, the food is nothing short of exceptional; our wedding was almost a full year ago, and our guests are still talking about the outrageous cocktail hour. The "package" that Bear Brook provides far exceeds that of any other venue. Perhaps the most underestimated quality, though, is how amazing the staff is. Everyone - from the coordinators, to the attendants, to the waiters, to the bartenders - is joyful, knowledgeable, and efficient. They have the process of putting on a 200+ person wedding down to a science, while still letting it feel unique, fun, and personal. I was a guest here for my friend's wedding, and had the most AMAZING time. Oh, where do I even start? The facility is gorgeous. It seems like it's a part of a gated community with residential homes (neighbors came down the road, watched some of the wedding, then went home lol). It's very modern/rustic. The food was outstanding. During the cocktail hour (well, more like 2 or 3 hours), the entire room was filled with different kinds of foods. The hot foods were hot, the cold foods were cold. Everything tasted great and was well-seasoned. During the reception, one of the wait staff came around and took our meal orders. I ordered the filet mignon with asparagus. Everything was perfectly cooked. The waitstaff came back often to refill drinks and bring us whatever food. Also, the cake was great. It got a bit warm inside, so we went outside and they actually had a firepit going with a S'MORES STATION. We hung out there for a bit, talking and making s'mores. At the end of the night, there was more food to come. They brought us all McDonalds! I had a cheeseburger and some nuggets lol. This was seriously the best, most fun wedding I've ever attending. Came here for a wedding 6/18 and it was definitely one of the best if not the best wedding venue I've been a guest at so far. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. It's not the typical Jersey venue and has a nice rustic barnyard but modern feel. The cocktail food was absolutely delicious and there were endless options. There was even a luge so I got to have some shots with the bridal party. There was a delay in getting there from the hotel because of a room issue and I'm pretty sure they extended the cocktail hour a bit because of it. Luckily the weather was great so there were also plenty of food stations outdoor with seating. There were about 300 guests at this wedding so it was nice that they had plenty of seating. The ballroom is really nice and the wooden long tables and chairs fit the theme well. I personally wasn't a fan of the huge long tables because I got stuck at the other end and couldn't really talk to the people I actually knew at the table and when it came time for the nude and groom entrance and dances it was hard to see anything. The ballroom floor also had a huge outdoor area so it was great way to enjoy the beautiful area and mingle with guests since the long tables limited that. The entrees looked great but my filet mignon sadly was overcooked and not so great. I understand that there were a lot of guests and sadly not ever dish is going to be perfect. I kinda wish I had asked for the risotto option instead it looked really tasty. The room itself was a good size and thanks to no carpet made the dance floor a decent size. The groom surprised the bride with fireworks so that was the highlight of the night. The Viennesse hour had plenty of options including a s'mores fire pit outside. So , where do I start ?!! My daughter got married this past Sunday here at Bear Brook Valley. I truly can't say enough about this Wedding Venue.From the start working with Katrina with the planning and working out all the details .Katrina was a pleasure !! She helped us with ever detail from cocktail hour to the cutting of the cake and then some . Right to the final details. Not only is this place Beautiful inside ,but also has such Picturesque grounds and an Arbor overlooking a pond where the Bride and Groom took their Vows. The Bridal Suite was awesome for all the girls to prepare from the morning where they serve food while all the prepping is going on. Meanwhile the Groom and his crew have a Den like room equipped with a pool table ,shuffle board and two TVs to watch the games while prepping for the big day .The men getting a great spread of food also. We also had the pleasure of having help from Kate and Becca who couldn't do enough satisfying all of our needs and making sure we were comfortable while waiting for the start of our BIG DAY !! My ONLY REGRET is that I DON'T have anymore children to marry off , because Bear Brook Valley would be MY CHOICE read more

I even went out of my way to ask for his name because of how absolutely wonderful and detail oriented he is. Not one other table has had the attention ours has had. He is kind, well spoken, thorough and follows up and through on all requests. While other wait staff is young not only in appearance but in actions, he is taking his job seriously while being warm and conversational. Excellent work in hiring this young man. Where do we start? We started our wedding planning with venues - 12 venues in one weekend. We were looking for a rustic elegance style that fit at least 250 guests. Coincidentally Bear Brook Valley was the first place we saw, and to be utterly cliché it was love at first site. We met the wedding coordinator and she showed us around the ballroom, the cocktail hour area, and the outdoors. She took us through the menu and all the add-ons. We were hesitant at first because we saw the venue before they even had their first event. We didn't have a reference - but what we saw was potential. We fell in love and our trust in the BBV team was rewarded every step of the way, and tenfold on our wedding day. The space was gorgeous, set in a gated community at the heart of an old golf course where you can find peace and quiet, as well as beautiful green hills, and a sea of stars above you on a cloudless summer night. A small waterfall lay hidden in the woods behind the building, giving life to a stream that makes its way to the pond at the feet of the pergola where many outdoor ceremonies take place. It's a gorgeous location for Secret Garden style pictures. Aside from the shear beauty of the location, the building is also something to marvel at. From all of the outdoor fireplaces and areas to discover, to the cocktail area which is incredible. When you see it filled with your guests you couldn't imagine a better place for them to mingle before the main event. Groomsmen can hide away in the Woodford lounge to play a game of pool while the bridesmaids have a nearly fully equipped salon in their hideaway for any touch ups necessary throughout the night. As you make your way up the iron staircase decorated with the signature cattails, you set your eyes on the large hall, with exposed beams, exposed wood tables, and the view of the grounds. This is not your typical New Jersey wedding venue... but it was the venue of our dreams. So the location is great, but it's not just the physical attributes of Bear Brook Valley that sold us. We went to our venue probably 5 times before signing a contract. We met our coordinator and all the assistants that would be taking care of us on our big day. We met the owner and his wife and when they saw us back for subsequent visits, they remembered us. They knew details of our wedding and were extremely friendly. The quarterback of the whole operation was the program coordinator. Katrina went above and beyond, always available, and bent over backwards to make our ideas a reality. Three months after our wedding people are still talking about it; about the beautiful venue, excellent service, and delicious food. We couldn't have imagined a better place to have our wedding. Any regrets? We didn't have our ceremony at the venue due to religious regulations (of the church, not the venue), and we would've loved to spend all day there to take full advantage of venue. The minute our wedding was over we started to tell everyone we knew about Bear Brook Valley, with the secret wish that someone would have a wedding there so we could go back as guests.
