    James was awesome and accommodated our request for an ice liquor luge with only approx. 24 hours notice! He did an awesome job. The liquor luge was definitely an asset to our party. Victor, who dropped off the sculpture, was very thorough and friendly as well. Love this company and will definitely call on them again!!!

    I have used James at Crystal Creations twice now for ice luges and he does a great job. The luges are well-carved, look great and are very impressive for parties. He delivered right on time for both events (and these events were years apart - one about five years ago and one this weekend). And his pricing is great (and includes tax, delivery, set up, etc.). The only downside is that he can be a little slow to respond to emails and requests. If you are like me and need paperwork and contracts and confirmations, you may get a little frustrated. I actually asked for a quote on three different items, but he only sent me the quote for the luge. He lost money by not bothering to send me a quote on the other items. However, if you are willing to do the follow up and ensure that he has everything right for your event, you will love what you get from him. I would absolutely use him again (and just be prepared to follow up prior to the event to confirm everything).

    An ice sculpture always adds a level of class to any event (wedding, birthday, anniversary, corporate launch, etc.) which is why I connected with James for an ice carving for my father's 90th birthday. Guests commented on how beautiful it was throughout the evening and everyone wanted to take selfies with it in the background. James provided me with an estimate, picture of a similar ice carving and then delivered on time. The set up and process was seamless (it was on a table 42" tall). The overall size of the carving (it was in two pieces) was approximately 30" x 30". Loved it!

    The ice sculpture was incredible. It's bigger than I thought and it made the party. It was used as a Martini Bar with the luge. The guests loved it and it truly makes your event special. James created a masterpiece. He delivered to the hotel on time and the whole process was so easy. He is a wonderful person and a pleasure to work with and I look forward to more events with James.

So tender and flavorful--our guests said that was their favorite part of their dinner! Every single item was delicious and beautifully presented as you will see in the photos, and the attention to detail in both flavor and appearance made a big impression for me. We started our planning with Lindsay Vandruff, who was fantastic to work with--friendly, warm, organized, and responsive. She worked closely with us so we could stick to our budget and never pushed us towards making any pricier choices or upgrades. Even after she left the company midway through our planning, the transition to our next coordinator, Danielle Schmidt, was smooth and stress-free. The first time was in 2018 when we did a…read morestyle shoot event at Fete the Venue in Costa Mesa along with Wildflower Linen (La Tavola Linen) and I have had their delicious catering experiences when I went to some event/wedding industry events at the Fete! In the past I did love their food station displays from a grazing station swing to a pasta station with a giant cheese wheel and a wooden wall displays of pretzels. This time I was reintroduced to AAC through finding The Bar Caterer. AAC and TBC are partner companies and they are also owned by the same company that owns Fete the Venue. I love coming back to a company that has good memories in my mind and delicious experiences. For two back-to-back events of mine this March -- one was an event with Pacific Chorale at the Lido Theater in Newport Beach and the other a corporate event in Irvine. I was connected to Sales Manager, Danielle Schmidt. Working with her (and TBC's Carlos) was amazing! They go hand in hand. The first time I met Danielle (and Carlos) was at a site visit at Lido Theater and that meeting was so productive and all logistics was all set! Working with AAC felt easy and efficient. Danielle was great at follow ups, responding to questions, fast at emails, and personable. And can I just say -- my first walk-thru meeting was seriously one of the best! It was efficient, effective, and easy! With knowledge and experienced people working together, most events will be successful. Plus at that meeting, my client and I were gifted a surprise and delight from both AAC and TBC. Care packages of food and beverage goodies are always a perk! Those touches truly are memorable. Now on day-of event -- just wow! The lead, staff, and chefs were all on time. It was seamless in terms of setting up, prepping, and the service during the event with guests was impeccable! My two events both had tray pass. I did have some repeats, but I personally loved the Stuffed Mushroom! Second on the Beef Wellington. Sooooo good! Both events had Grazing Stations that encompassed premium cheeses, charcuterie, fruit, and crudite. The only difference were food stations! For the Lido Theater event -- we had a Flatbread Station with a Caprese and BBQ Chicken selection. The BBQ Chicken was of course most popular. The Irvine event had more food stations -- Poke Station, Pasta Station, and Korean BBQ Station. The guests loved the pasta the most. But I personally liked the K-BBQ! The Bulgogi Beef was bomb! All the chefs were so good. The Leads that worked were Jo (at Lido Theater) and Kyle (at Irvine). Both Jo and Kyle were on top of it! So organized and everything was structured perfectly. Anything we needed, they both delivered right away! I absolutely loved working with the entire AAC team! From Danielle (sales manager) to the leads and chefs and the staff -- I was impressed. It was like a well piled machine! And what was the cherry on top was the Leads providing a paper that was like a comment card Q&A. That makes me know that AAC strives to improve and make themselves better. AAC (and TBC) get 5-stars, two thumbs way up, 100%... all of the above! I will definitely refer and will continue working with them. P.S. At the Irvine corporate event -- the Vice Mayor of the City of Irvine popped by and he was raving about the food. I totally passed on AAC's info to him for the City of Irvine to have good food when they need a caterer! *insert heart emoji*

The day of, the venue we booked decided to cut our setup time short because there was a party that booked lunchtime and was running late. Despite this setback, Janice and her team were there on time working on setting up while the restaurant workers were cleaning up. I can only imagine how chaotic it must have been, but everything was setup on time and came out beautiful! The theme was like XLB on CNY, and Janice ran with the idea and brought it to life. We loved the addition of the fans and flowers! There were also some lanterns that they were able to attach onto the walls that added to the theme, but we forgot to take pictures of them. Overall great experience working with Janice and extremely happy with the result.

During one of our meetings we off-handedly mentioned our love for our two baby pet tortoises and Dennis went out of his way for turtles to be represented in our decor. Four days before our wedding we needed to change our ceremony location in a series of events we would not wish upon anyone but the silver lining in all this was the vendors like 2Create who were able to handle the wildly last-minute change with grace and professionalism. We came into planning completely overwhelmed, but every meeting with her left us calmer and more confident. She recommended amazing vendors and remembered every detail we shared -- down to specific photos on my shot list. I mentioned wanting veil shots once, and on the wedding day she made sure to remind our photo and video team so nothing was missed. She genuinely cared about bringing our vision to life. We had quite the wedding weekend -- including an atmospheric storm that forced us to move our outdoor ceremony indoors. We were heartbroken, but Ann handled everything with so much grace and positivity. She and her team resolved issues behind the scenes before we even had the chance to worry about them. We didn't learn about half of it until our debrief a week later LOL. Because of her, we were able to stay fully present and completely stress-free. Ann's thoughtfulness showed up in big and small moments. One standout was how she coordinated our In-N-Out stop -- by the time our bridal party and photo/video team arrived, she already had us seated and eating, which was everything after a long morning with barely a break. When we realized we were missing centerpieces for a few tables because we forgot to update our florist on the final count, Ann handled it immediately before we even had a chance to stress. Her team was also so gracious in setting up all our welcome-area décor and bathroom amenity baskets. Ann truly thinks of everything. On the wedding day, she kept everything running smoothly and exactly on schedule -- something incredibly important to us. One thing we always wanted to have was a wedding that brought everyone together, but also to keep all our guests engaged throughout the entire night. We went to multiple weddings before and saw Ann as the wedding planner and notice how active she was throughout the entire night and how everything felt under control, one of our favorite wedding that we went to was a small wedding of 70 people, but it was the most fun and most memorable wedding we've been to. Throughout the process of having Ann as a wedding planner, she was able to help us with sourcing vendors navigating through contracts, helping set up appointments, and she was even there for every single face-to-face meeting with vendors and the venue, and also helped negotiate some of the contracts to provide us better terms and pricing. A lot of the vendors that we wanted to work with already has relations with Ann which made it a lot easier to communicate. We wanted our wedding to run smoothly and we wanted our guest to be entertained, but I also wanted me and my wife's wedding day to be drama free and of course, the most memorable day of our life and Ann delivered the night went off without a hitch. Everybody was happy and everybody complimented on the efficient timeline. Our guest list was full of different groups of people, you have your typical Asian auntie and uncles and then you have friends and also professional acquaintances. Ann was able to navigate all those things. She handled special request, spoke Vietnamese and made sure our special guest were accounted for. Customer service blows big ones. It's a one stop hall so they have the photography and limo services in the package. Limo didn't arrive at the church -_- instead met us at the park.... ummmm can you say discount. That was inconvenient. Photography was good though. Can't bring in liquor....since they sell it there....weak. we unfortunately ran out out beer.....it happens....they don't allow you to bring more....they don't sell beer either so hint bring a grip load of beer. They ran out of water. No wine for you wine drinkers. Oh if you pay with credit card then there is a 30 min :) 0 tolerance for underage drinking. Hall is nice and plenty of room. They broke down the wall that separated two rooms. So now there is a large dance floor. We got it for 250 people so that was nice. Here's where it gets interesting. If more people come....you need to pay for extra tables.... 140 each....we got 5 more. Then they started charging at the door like if it was a damn club(should of got my cut). Then they stopped letting people in even when people were leaving. Some people get out of work late you know and their responds will be "and" Just so you know. I would skip this place guys....real talk..sorry it's long but I wish I knew these things before.
