Oscar was super knowledgeable in pretty much every aspect of a wedding. He walked us through things we never thought about, like table layouts and planning the flow of the room. He worked with us on price and was very straight-forward and honest. We really looked forward to the final product but, unfortunately because of COVID 19, we ended up having to postpone our wedding celebration indefinitely. I was interested in renting/installing market lights for my wedding in March 2019, but no one had done that at my venue before. Therefore, when my venue coordinator told me about Oscar and OC Events, who would be installing market lights there for the first time for an October wedding, I was highly motivated to book him since I knew he would be familiar with the space and be able to give me an accurate quote. Here is what followed: 11/1: I called Oscar. He picked up. He was very friendly and told me to text him a list of rentals I needed so he could give me a quote, which I sent over immediately. 11/2: No response 11/3: No response 11/4: No response 11/5: I texted Oscar to follow up. No response. 11/6: No response 11/7: No response 11/8: No response 11/9: No response 11/10: No response 11/11: No response 11/12: I call Oscar. He picks up. Again, very friendly and casual--no acknowledgement of nor apology for not sending a quote for the last 11 days. He said he had a quote started for me, but since he was not working on Mondays, he would finish it the following day and send it over. Perfect, thank you, I said. 11/13: No response. 11/14: No response. 11/15: No response. 11/16: No response. 11/17: No response. 11/18: No response. 11/19-23: I'm out of town for the holidays and am not trying to bother this man during them, either. 11/24: No response. 11/25: I text him to follow up. No response. 11/26: No response. 11/27: I call him 2 times and leave 1 voicemail. No response. 11/28: I call him at 9:30am. He picks up. He makes absolutely no mention of the text, 2 calls, and voicemail I left since we spoke on 11/12. He mentions twice that he is in the middle of breakfast with his family. (Note: I am by no means trying to keep him from his family--I'm a reasonable person. He didn't have to pick up if he was truly busy, I just ask that he return my call...) He says he will call me after eating breakfast. 11/28, later that day: No response. I call him around 5pm. No response. 11/29 (today): I call him at 3pm. No response. I was excited to book Oscar because 1. he was familiar with the space, 2. he was recommended to me by my venue coordinator, and 3. his reviews on Yelp were very promising. However, these reasons have been far overshadowed by the 28 days, 5 unanswered phone calls, 1 unanswered voicemail, and 4 unanswered texts that have passed--and I STILL not have a quote. Frankly, after writing this out, I feel like the foolish one for holding out this long. I truly feel I was more than gracious throughout this whole process. I understand that things happen, and people get busy, and calls cannot always be returned promptly. If Oscar had called or texted at ANY point in this process and given an apology or explanation for why this quote took so long (or honestly--even if he just GAVE me the quote without any apology/explanation) I would probably have booked him if the quote was reasonable. I would honestly even have appreciated him telling me he would be unable to give me a quote until a specified future date, so I could know how long/whether to wait. However, as long as I was under the impression that Oscar would get in touch with me with a quote, I could not book another vendor for my rentals. Now I am 3 months out and am nowhere closer to booking one than I was a month ago. This to me is deeply inconsiderate and unprofessional, and I feel I have no choice but to go through another vendor. I really hope that no one else experiences this and that Oscar is more responsive to his future clients. read more

Honestly really upset with this service. We were referred to OC events by our venue (will definitely be advising them to remove this place) and no response. Several phone calls and voicemails, never received a call back. When my fiancé finally got in contact with him, he told him he'll be sending him a quote by the end of the day which we still never received and it's been well over a week. We heard about OC Events through our caterer. They were reasonable and had pictures and a showroom to showcase their work. We were impressed at the quality of their rentals. Everything was clean or was in very good condition. They made our wedding look amazing even with some mishaps that were on the venue's end, missing tables. Even with the remaining table's late arrival, they were still able to execute and set up in a timely manner. We rented our place settings from them -- plates, utensils, glassware, chargers -- linens, draping, gobo and lighting. Pricing is fantastic. They are by far the best value and quality compared to larger event rental companies. The only thing i want to mention which I HAD to get over quickly was that they used polyester linens instead of the satin ones that we selected. At least it was the right color. I didn't realize it until I was sitting at the head table. read more

I highly recommend Royal Events. I used these services for my wedding on 09/16/18. Brise was very patient with me. I didn't know what I wanted and she was very knowledgeable and helped me decide on what to do. She brought up things I didn't even think of and my wedding was better because of her! She did my wedding bouquet, floral hairpiece, and floral centerpieces. I rented table linens, napkin linens, sweetheart table backdrop, ceremony backdrop, and centerpiece stands from her. One stop wedding events! I contracted OC Events last year for my daughter's wedding reception before everything fell apart due to the pandemic and we had to cancel. When we were allowed to gather again this year, we started planning an open house. I contacted Brise, who was willing to work with the contract we had last year. She provided the tables, chairs, and linens, as well as the bridal flowers. Everything was very reasonable and delivered on time, and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous! My daughter was blown away by how beautiful they were and exactly what she had asked for. The corsages and boutonnieres were wonderful, as were the centerpieces for our event. I will absolutely be using OC Events again in the future (I have more daughters!). read more

Our wedding event was canceled due to Covid-19 not by our choice , all of our plans canceled with no reschedule date ALL of our vendor have agreed to reimburse us accept for oceventinc pretty messed up considering they ask for 50 % deposit up front and there not cheap , I explain that we were going to go forward with vows with only 10 people and order in from one of our local restaurant and not have the wedding dream we planned so no longer need his services he - Oscar still refused to give us our deposit that is poor and selfish business . This was a great company to work with. Oscar was very helpful and professional. I needed some guidance and he assisted me in choosing the right chair colors, linen colors, color and size of the dance floor, and helped figure out the best place of the drapes and up lights. On the day of the event I showed up to the venue and everything was set up as we planned. After the party everything magically disappeared. Wedding flowers and decor rentals are part of the most important wedding planning, so while we were shopping around and receiving multiple quotes, we found Royal Events through yelp. Brise was so helpful and understanding of our needs when we met. We immediately chose her right after our first meeting. Also, best of all, she is not just a typical wedding florist. She offers party rentals, including flower backdrops, plates, vases, chairs, wedding decors, chandlers, anything you can think of, she has them! She also is not pushy like other florists who hear the word, wedding, and would start to raise the price and get you to pay more. She offers a free trial of the centerpiece at least 30 days before the wedding, which was so helpful for us to see and give feedback. On the wedding day at Monarch Beach Resort, the centerpieces and bouquets she made for us were so fresh and beautiful. Also, all the other party rentals we got, like chandeliers, Love and Mr. & Mrs. Signs, and chiavari chairs, were very clean and nice! We also got a special 3D paper flower backdrop for people to take selfie to save money on getting a photo booth with just 2D boring backdrops. Brise delivered everything we had asked for and exceeded our expectations. We received many positive feedback from our wedding guests, and she and her team set up and cleaned up on time.
