The facility itself is pretty dim, which really makes all the bright fish and aquatic creatures stand out. The staff even brought out a live baby penguin to view and watch for a bit, which was absolutely adorable!! I am not entirely sure this part was a standard part of general admissions or was incorporated as part of the work event I attended to be honest, but it was quite the experience. I had never been so close to a penguin before! I will say, you can get through the entire aquarium pretty quickly. Unless you really love seeing fish and plan to stop and read each of the wall plaques describing the different sea creatures, it's going to go by fast. Also, please be mindful when taking photos of the aquariums. The sea animals are sensitive to flash, so make sure your flash is turned off. Overall, I would describe OdySea as something you try at least once, especially if you really enjoy fish and other aquatic animals or have kids who may be impressed by all the bright colors and unique aquariums. I enjoyed the experience and I'm glad I got to see it, but personally, I probably wouldn't return for a second visit.

The animals are clearly well cared for, and there's so much to do for kids and adults alike. You never get bored because they're always changing things up, adding new experiences, and giving you a reason to come back. They have some really unique fish, including piranhas, which I believe are only legally displayed in a few places like Arizona and Florida. You can even swim with some of the fish if you're looking for a memorable experience! And don't skip the shark tank bathrooms--they're absolutely fintastic! They also have a Starbucks, and for the adults, they even serve alcohol. Whether you're visiting with family, on a date, or just exploring on your own, there's so much to see, learn, and enjoy. We love the conservation efforts Wildlife World zoo does and does consistently. They are always trying to improve living quarters for the animals. I purchased a membership so of course I want to come on a day other than Saturday to avoid the huge crowds, but I felt like I couldn't use my membership to its full advantage because it was practically deserted during the week staff/amenity wise. Could only buy a drink/food at one of the food courts at the front of the zoo which was frustrating considering how huge this place is and when it's hot, the rides were closed most of the time (plus they cost extra, even for members), and the giraffe feedings weren't ever available either. I tried multiple days during the week as well and had the same experience. I'm not sure if the little snack shacks & places are open on Saturdays or if they are closed permanently, but there were a ton of unused/unopened spaces that look like they'd be cool... if they were operable. $261.59 felt like a lot to just walk around in dirt to look at animals in an outdated space. Plus only I could take my daughter alone or else we would need to spend an additional $262 for my husband to have a membership. If you have kids 3+, it would be an additional $133 per child! Greeeeeedy if you ask me considering the Phoenix zoo prices. We didn't renew and will make the drive to the Phoenix zoo. The gas money will be worth the much lower membership price over there.

Driving into the store from Surprise where I live, no concern or sincere of any urgency. Instead, I was treated with very poor customer service. I was expected to wait for days to hear back from someone. After 2 days of calling the store and being frustrated. I was told I had to wait until the next week in order for the guy who makes them, to come back from out of town and remake a new one. The store had a whole basket of the same item "Except those were double magnets" and I only purchased the single magnet". To make things right and avoid customer frustration. No one offered to upgrade or anything else, I had to ask options to just upgrade and be done with it. What a JOKE, I was offered a discount to upgrade. Basically, around the same price if I'd just purchased the double magnet mount. Pay Double The $$ for a product that only lasted 1.5 months. I DON'T THIONK SO. I only purchased it because I was told the store made these. I was trying to support a small company. Not After This. I'm done dealing with this place. Completely different attitude when addressing a defective product they sell. Unless your dropping $$$ the day of the visit, expect to get bare minimum for customer service when there is an issue. They won't be getting any $$ from me after this encounter.

If you're visiting during the summer, I'd recommend saving the outdoor walking for the cooler months and spending the hotter afternoons indoors at OdySea.

1 Star - Dangerous and disappointing experience on the Big Wheel…read more I rode the Boardwalk Big Wheel at Arizona Boardwalk today with my two young boys, ages 2 and 4. The experience was honestly terrible and, more importantly, felt unsafe. It was 105°F outside, and we were placed in the orange #15 gondola. The gondolas are primarily enclosed by glass and have no effective air conditioning. The AC in ours was clearly broken and was blowing hot air instead of cooling the cabin. Within minutes, all three of us were drenched in sweat and the heat inside was becoming extremely uncomfortable. The biggest issue was that the attendant locked us inside the gondola despite the extreme heat. We waved at her to let us out, but she didn't. We went around the entire wheel and, when we came back around, we waved again. She saw us, but still didn't open the door. I ultimately had to yell and knock on the glass to get her attention before she finally let us out after the second trip around. When we got off, I explained what had happened to the attendant. Her response was essentially an unenthusiastic, unapologetic "sorry." There was no concern about whether my children or I were okay, no offer to move us to a functioning gondola, and no refund or other attempt to make the situation right. I paid $22.71 for the ride, but the money isn't really the issue. What concerns me is putting young children into an enclosed, extremely hot gondola with a malfunctioning cooling system and then failing to respond when the passengers are clearly asking to get out. I would strongly recommend that Arizona Boardwalk inspect and properly maintain these gondolas and, more importantly, make sure attendants respond immediately when passengers are signaling that they need to exit. I would not recommend riding the Boardwalk Big Wheel, particularly with young children in extreme heat.

That means you get stuck with a wordy review. March 12, 2026, mid day, I returned to my home. Two neighbors, who rarely communicate looked confused. We live in a condo complex, many things beside dry leaves and plastic bags find their way into our corner of the place. That day iteas a red eared slider turtle. You know them, the quarter sized petlets, millions accidentally killed by hopeful turtle owners. This one was 8 inches long and six inches across. Plus, very healthy and undamaged. By evening I knew who lost the turtle. The woman with the jungle patio and cage of happy parakeets. This made perfect sense. This water turtle escaped in November, 2025, finding it's way home in March, 2026. We have been fully occupied with urgent stuff. The neighbor is not home much. I got a container at the thrift store, I got the ultimatum from Sweet D - the turtle must go home TODAY. Turtle food at The Ocean Floor is in the rear near the customer service counter. I got a little bag of floating bits for $5. The turtle was ravenous. The turtle is home. Several people are happy er. Yay!

I've been back in the reef hobby now for 3 years. Ocean Floor is by far the worst LFS in this Valley. Aquaholic Aquariums LLC is the place to go folks. Stay clear of this place. Over priced for corals that look horrible and their customer service is not top priority.

But what really sets this place apart is Kat and Joe. They're genuinely amazing people. They don't just sell you something and send you on your way. They genuinely care about the animals, the plants, and the community they've built around the shop. The selection is awesome, the tanks and livestock are well cared for, and there's always something interesting to see when you walk in. Whether you're brand new to the hobby or you've been keeping fish, amphibians, and planted setups for years, you'll find something here. After weeks of back and forth with them not showing up, they finally came back to finish the job Tj get the tank up and running. They decided to raise the price on me not only once but twice. This was not a small 50-100 raise it was hundreds. This was after they came back to look at the equipment again to give me a new quote. Once again, we agreed and they raised it again. I have all text messages and correspondence. This is probably the least ethical company I have ever dealt with and clearly customer service is not what it is supposed to be. The framing of the tank also got broken by them and still not fixed.
