I would give no stars if it was possible. Top 5 reasons: 1. they only spend about 5-10 minutes on your pool 2. don't brush sides of pool with bushes-they "might fall in" 3. algae started first month of weekly service 4. they don't return vm - you have to email to get a response 5. tech's and general manager is rude Within 5 days we have a new service and our pool looks like it did before Crystal Clear! read more

I don't like leaving negative reviews because of a single employee but due to the response I got from the office manager, they made the decision for me. I was paying for the "full" service maintenance since we recently moved and I had no spare time. After they finished a service, the water looked pretty clear but there would still be large patches of algae on the walls and steps. Leaves on the surface and bottom. I have a security camera setup and the last time they came I pulled up the footage. The tech was here a total of 9 minutes. He never went near the filter or pump yet left a pressure readout on the report. He grabbed the scrubber and lightly went over about 6 feet of a wall while looking to see if anyone inside was watching. He netted a few leaves and was gone. I contacted the company via email to let them know I was cancelling my service. I told them not to bother coming back onsite as I already had new service. However, I would have expected some kind of response at least asking for the video footage so they could retrain their employee or apologize. Nothing. So a few weeks later I get a final invoice which they went ahead and charged to my card. I found that a poor choice given I had proof of them not doing what I had been paying for. I responded to them to let them know how I felt and that I would be reconsidering my decision to not leave a negative review. The response I got said they "looked into it" and that their tech did the work he was supposed to. Then a passive aggressive hope that I find the kind of service I need. The fact that they never questioned or asked for the video proof I had tells me they don't care. The lack of initial response and then later rude response makes me think this is not the actions of a single employee. read more

These guys did an amazing job of refurbishing our pool. We wanted new tile, coping, and an updated pebble finish to the pool bottom. Steve was very helpful in guiding us away from products that are available and look nice for awhile, but in their experience didn't hold up well over the years. We appreciated his advice. The finished product is beautiful and was completed in a very timely manner. And, by the way, their prices were very competitive. They even added some embellishments that weren't in the original bid at no cost. Thanks so much, team! read more

I have been struggling for 2 years with a slow leak in my pool and as a result, have been searching for a reputable company to look at it. There are many companies that claim to be able to do the job but can't. Last year I wasted several hundred dollars on one. So, recently I started searching again for someone to do the job. I was referred to Crystal Clear as the company that could do it. After an initial confusing phone contact, I made an appointment for them to come out and "Detect" the leak. They did and the gentleman that did the work seemed to know what he was doing and covered all his bases. He stayed about 4 hours and his work seemed comprehensive. I paid the $450 (yikes) and he went on his way. On leaving I asked if he issued a report of his findings and he looked at me like, huh? He said, they would send me an invoice describing the findings. After a few days, I had received nothing and called. The lady on the phone seemed a little confused and finally said yes she was waiting on him. Long story short it took me a week and a few phone calls to get something in broken misspelled wording about my problem. What seemed to be a good investigation was shortchanged by very inadequate follow-up. I was told someone would contact me about my repair options. Still no forthcoming call. After 2 more calls and a couple of weeks, someone called saying that they couldn't replaster my pool till January or February! Really? I originally contacted this company because I went to Texas A and M and the owner as I understand it went there also. I even called him and left a message and sent him a personal letter(handwritten) Still nothing. I would not recommend contacting this company for any swimming pool work. read more

We used CCP to remodel our pool and couldn't be more happy with their services. The entire crew was respectful and always cleaned up after a days work. We installed a sun deck, waterfall and had the plaster resurfaced. Jesse kept us informed the entire time and always let us know what to expect next in the process. The pool is gorgeous now and we can't get our kids out of it! Steve even helped out with the filter several weeks later when I had some questions. Highly recommended and worth every penny! read more

If you want your pool clean for a little bit, go ahead. If you want it cleaned while they are supposed to clean it, good luck! I used them for almost a year. Fired them finally because I was tired of a green pool. The owner cleaned my pool for a while, when his son took over the pool was green every 4 weeks or so. I would have to call, they'd apologize and come fix it for him then it would happen again. They finally said they were going to switch to their other son cleaning my pool. First day he showed up he told me there was no way his brother had been cleaning correctly. Will guess what, me pool was blue for a grand total of 2 weeks over the next 2 months. They will give you every excuse about how they have problems getting this or that, but the service is no longer any good. They broke my equipment and did not even put tablets in my floaters for the last 2 weeks. I went outside when they were here the last visit. The son started sweeping the walls, when I went in, he stopped, only swept half. Told me he back flushed, lied, actually broke the line coming out of my filter and left. Told them to refund my money for last 2 weeks of month and not come back anymore. They haven't refunded a penny and won't answer calls or texts. They came and did extra visits last month and charges me for the extra chemicals. Pool was green and needed extra chemicals because they didn't take care of it though. My pool looks like a swamp, again, for the 7th time since they have been cleaning it weekly! Have pictures for it every time. Only once did I have an equipment failure that would have stopped water from circulating, it was fixed within a week and that was this last go around. The other 6 times ALL equipment worked perfectly but the water still went to a swampy green color. Had to switch party dates extra several times, even for birthdays because of their "service". DO NOT USE THEM! Not unless you want to be charged extra and lied to about what they are actually doing to your pool. read more

I selected Crystal Clear Pool Service to repair a crack in the pool, replaster the pool surface (which was last done 2005) and repair/regrout existing tiles. They submitted a comprehensive and easy to understand proposal outlining the scope of work, had knowledgeable and experienced personnel to answer my questions and worked diligently to complete the work as scheduled. I also had them pressure check the lines while the pool was drained to determine if I had a leak in the skimmer line; it seemed like I was losing more water that normal evaporation. They found the leak close to the surface in the skimmer return line and fixed it quickly. The pressure check also revealed a serious leak in the drain return line, which took considerably more time to locate because it was under gunite and rebar. Steve Graves, owner and Miquel Lopez, both knowledgeable and experienced professionals, knew exactly how to locate it, how much it would cost to repair and then proceeded to repair it. Both really know what their doing and can fix literally anything when it come to pools. With all this added, but necessary work, the replastering was the easy part of the job, and was done in one day after the required pool surface prep by the pool technician. Our pool is back, filled and we could not be more pleased. I would definitely use Crystal Clear Pool Service again for pool renovations. They are knowledgeable, honest, conscientious, hardworking and affordable experts in their field. The company has been managed by the same owner since 1979. W Evans read more
