When a restaurant shares the name of my longtime Italian favorite back home, you know I'm going to go there. Located close to my hotel, I found Crust Brewing on a list provided by the front desk. Starving after my conference l decided to check them out. The meatball appetizer (3 balls) were tender and well flavored. I loved the robust sauce. My Hawaiian pizza, with fresh arugula and a generous spread of red sauce had a just crispy crust was equally well flavored with a robust marinara sauce. I'm not a beer guy, more like rum and wine, but wanting to keep it light, I asked my waitress Diana my waitress for recommendations. She started me off with a sample flight, from which I ended up, enjoying the"Boomer IPA". A Makers Mark old fashioned Made for great nightcap. I would definitely recommend them if you're staying near O'Hare. I know where I'll stop by my next trip. read more

I came in expecting a typical sports bar experience, but things went wrong in several ways throughout the evening. I rarely give one-star reviews, but Crust Brewing earned it. To skip to the end, 2-3 of our party of ten spent the night with upset stomachs or vomiting, and not from drinking to excess. The staff seemed overwhelmed and behind even though the restaurant was not full. We waited 20 min after seating for drink orders to be taken. Several of the drinks lagged long behind the others. There was not enough water for everyone to have a glass, and then the empty pitchers were collected without being refilled. Requests for refills brought one refilled pitchers when 3-4 were needed. Half of the food ordered arrived in a reasonable time. But the other items were delivered to the table around 25 minutes later, making for an awkward time while half of us watched the others eat. Those who got their food first were completely done eating by the time the rest of our food arrived. The regular pizzas and boneless wings were actually pretty good! But when the two tavern pizzas were delivered, they were so overcooked and dry they were basically inedible. (See my uploaded photos.) There was no acknowledgement by the waitstaff or attempts to correct the order. We had somewhere to be after dinner, so we opted to just choke them down rather than wait another 45 min for replacement pizzas. It was difficult to get waitstaff attention to get our checks and to go boxes. And when they came, they brought fewer boxes than we asked for. I walked up to the bar and asked for a to-go box, and was met with an eyeroll and a huff, and the box slammed on the bar with a curt "anything else?" Like I mentioned before, I was up part of the night with a sour stomach. And I found out the next morning that our friends were camped out on the bathroom floor with food poisoning. We will ne'er darken the door of this establishment again, and I suggest you don't either. read more

A little something about me: If you have a mahi sandwich on your menu, I'm ordering it! It's a done deal. And blackened mahi? Fugitaboudit. There are a few select items in life which, if offered to me, I'd eat every single day. That tasty list is short, but mahi is definitely on there. Served on a brioche bun with lettuce, pickle, tomato, red onion and something called fat boy sauce (Hey! I resemble that remark!). This sandwich was an excellent pair to my hazy, Belgian wheat beer (I know Joe. I mean, I DO know a Joe, but that's the name of the beverage if you also like unfiltered wheat ales, like me). Crust is a solid offering for a night out, especially if you just got into O'Hare, and you're looking for something to eat that's close, quick and better than most. A pretty chill place to sit and relax. It was busy that evening, being a weekend night, but still felt approachable and a nice refuge. Was this is best mahi sandwich I've had? Of course not. Was it the best mahi I've had that's 1,000 miles from the nearest salt water? Yes, I'd say it was. Pro tip: Spend the extra $2 and spring for the sweet potato tots as your side. Many of the dishes come with Parmesan ranch fries. Sound delicious, don't they? Well, you'll be sorely disappointed. This advice came straight from our server who I genuinely believe was not trying to upscale me to get the extra $0.20 tip. He literally brought out a comparison plate to help me decide. (Great server!) Go look at my photos. It's not even close. Would I go back to Crust for the mahi? Maybe. Would I return solely for the sweet potato tots. Fo' sure! I also had the opportunity to taste the fish tacos. Solid. Crust Brewing has a nice selection of beers, as you'd expect from a brewing company. I also appreciated how the menu is short and to the point, offering solid American fare, but not overwhelming to the senses. They have a couple taco options, salads, sandwiches and wings. They also have pizza. I actually think they are known for their pizza, but I can't speak to that because, well, mahi! We came here for drinks and a light dinner. The place was busy but not overly so. We were seated right away. The space is open with tables nicely spaced, and wide aisles. We were served right away. Our server was attentive throughout our time there. He was spot on in his recommendation of the banana old fashioned, so yum! My friend said the steak tacos were delicious and his salad also looked good. On a Wednesday night, the kitchen closed at 9:00 (except for pizza). Last call for the bar was at 9:30. Well, if you want that style, Crust Brewing doesn't make it, but they do make an incredibly amazing Neapolitan-inspired, wood-fired pizza! Yeah, I was disappointed when they didn't have deep dish, but not for long. I had the Hogs & Kisses. It has pineapple and pancetta. I wasn't familiar with the style of pizza. Lots of the cheese is not melted, still, I would have to say it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. Matter of fact, I think it was the best!! Nothing like it anywhere I've been. The pizza itself did not take a long time to out. The pizzas were good. However, our server disappeared. We were never checked on. No one brought us a bill. We ended up having to seek assistance from the bartender. Who also didn't know who our server was, even though we were one of the only tables occupied directly next to the bar. They were not busy at all. The pizza was decent. I suggest you don't visit if you have anywhere to be. It was a very disorganized place. We were so happy with this restaurant, the place is very large, but not real noisy as with so many other places. The pizza's were outstanding with so many choices. . They are all 12 inch in size, and cut into 6 pieces which is enough for 2 people to share. The beer was delicious also. There is a very large selection of beer and pizza. Crust Brewing is a solid brewpub find! The open, airy seating made for a relaxed vibe with plenty of room to spread out. Portions are generously large and the food arrives piping hot. The buffalo macaroni pasta was a standout--creamy, spicy, and loaded with flavor. We also enjoyed the solid beer selection with an 8-beer flight that offered great variety and was absolutely worth the money. Everything felt fresh and satisfying. Friendly service and a casual atmosphere make it perfect for a laid-back meal with craft beer. I dined at Crust March '25. I took a look at the menu thinking it was just pizza, however I was mistaken. Service was good and attentive. Atmosphere was comfortable. Now let's talk about the food.. I opted to step out of my comfort zone and try the short ribs with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Wow!!!! This was a hefty and delicious portion! The lemon accompaniment to the broccolini fit perfectly and really made the dish stand out. For the price, you cannot beat a meal like this. But I'm from St. Louis and our pizza is kind of.....iffy. #SorryNotSorry This is good pizza - nice, crispy crust, artisan toppings and combinations, including personal fave The Fig! Although, can we stop putting arugula on hot pizza? Maybe 1 bite and then it's a wilty mess. The apps are top notch! Burrata Baby delivers creamy burrata, tomato jam and more arugula but at least it's not hot! Extra credit for a patio in Rosemont that is actually pleasant to sit and enjoy! Pretty cool spot to checkout if you are in the Rosemont area. If you get there early enough, you can score parking right out front. If not, they offer validated parking in the garage which is awesome. It's a pretty cool brewery with a few options to choose from that folks would be happy with. I had their peach sour and mixed it with raddler which was ah-mazing. Highly recommend. Their cocktails are strong and good. Old fashion was tasty. Here's what I ordered for good: Nachos-Amazing and plentiful. However, it packs spice so if you are sensitive tell them no jalapeños! Wings-chili lime. Pretty good but I would try a different flavor. My friends raved about their wings and ordered buffalo, and bbq. I was too full to try. Popeye pizza-decent. Seemed bland. Tip: they give you so much food so be prepared for leftovers or just share. Stopped at Crust Brewing after shopping at the outlet malls across the street and before a concert at All State Arena. What a great spot to hit up! Too expensive for mediocre taste. I'm sure it's because of location. The area is very nice and prices are possibly due to location.

It's a mixed concept here with an onsite microbrew, pizza oven, and sports bar. They even have an ice cream bar at the entrance. It is also one of the later kitchens in the Williams entertainment district to close on the weekend. Prices are a bit higher here especially for lunch. Pizzas and most entrees run over $20 while appetizers are in the teens. I think the pizzas are standard in taste. They also have a build your own entree option with multiple bases and toppings that can add up dollar wise. As for the microbrews, I've only had the radler and the wheat beers. They seem to have a similar taste profile to what Goose Island would put out. read more

Service was attentive until it wasn't. (I'll explain in a moment). Environment is super loud. We walked in and they had one man show bad which was nice but so loud you couldn't hear the person across from you. And we were to the side and in back of the stage. Okay for food: I eat ALOT of salads and the "too the moon" sounded like a great salad but what I imagined and what came out did not match up. Simply put there was suppose to be arugula but it was really a large bowl of spinach. The tomatoes were mixed cherry tomatoes served whole and the dressing was suppose to be a champagne vinaigrette but it was loaded with a spicy vinaigrette that was so spicy and soupy the salad was impossible to eat. I explained to my waiter that it was too spicy to eat and his response was yep, that's our champagne vinaigrette. So my meal went untouched. You'd think he'd offer to make something else or at minimum take it off our bill. Nope. The make your own meal salmon with potatoes and broccoli came out looking like it would be scrumptious but it too was underwhelming. It had no flavor. The shrimp tacos and steak tacos were good but nothing to remember. And the plate of fries app along with the spinach and artichoke dip were pretty typical. We ordered the Hazy beer. Known for their pizza and acquaintance and I decided to try their mushroom truffle pizza. Now the sever warned us that you have to love both mushroom and truffles because this can be over powering. He wasn't lying. Boy were we in for a treat. I personally love both - but this took it to a new level lol. It's one of those flavors you love or hate. There is no in between. The wings were really tasty and a decent size. I'd return for the wings for sure. There's a nice crunch from the bake wings that I love and the flavors of sweet soy and Parmesan poked through amazingly. They just started serving mocktails in a can andddd they serve ice cream. What I expected... typical below par Midwest food. My husband only wanted pizza so we came here. For a pizza lover, he said it was okay. I didn't try his chicken pesto pizza since it looked pretty heavy for me. I got the dry rub wings. It was okay..not the best. It was covered in dry rub that didn't taste like anything! I kid you not. It was like a bland rub. The chicken was good but it was too much for me. I also got the fries which tasted like it was sitting out for a while. I know those weren't fresh. Service was okay. Hostesses didn't even greet us when we got in. They were pretty much just standing there in their own little world. Ambiance is okay. Probably busier on weekends. I AM SO BETRAYED. My wife and I have been coming here for a trivia date night on Monday nights for several years now and we always get a fry basket to split and a pizza. The fries are out of this world amazing. It's embarrassing that my wife and I split this giant basket, dipping the perfectly cooked and seasoned fries in a spicy ranch dip. I once said to my wife, "Some people mourn not knowing when it will be the last time they they pick up their child. I mourn not knowing when I will be eating my last basket of Crust fries." And then the unthinkable happened. For no apparent reason, Crust changed their menu ever so slightly, but enough to REMOVE the fry basket (now it's small side) and worst of all get rid of the spicy ranch. Why? WHY? WHY???!!! It's a dip. The bottle can't take up that much room in the kitchen. Please do the right thing we restore the generous fry basket or at least bring back the ranch. And the Mr. Steal Your Burg cheeseburger pizza! It was so unique! Why is it gone? This will be a five-star review once these issues are resolved. I seriously love you, Crust. You've added so much to my life and given us so many fond date nights. Don't go changing to try to please out-of-towners here for a convention. We love you just the way you are, er, were. I was here for a party and although the service started slow, it ended strong. The place is huge and can definitely house plenty of people but with that said it's loud and hard to talk. Their brewed beers were okay but not my favorite. I drank the hazy which was average to me. It was missing that citrus finish that I love about hazy beers.
