Fusion experience indeed! The people were really nice and accommodating. I truly enjoyed the food sampler, I chose the Houston Roll and then they have the chicken rice on the side. They also include their eel sauce which was so savory and I found out they make it fresh. Then we ordered Crusin Rice where in they have beef, chicken, and shrimp plus vegetable. Giving 4 stars because of the price and portion of the food. The Crusin Rice, you can see from the picture have mixture of everything but mostly rice. The meat were tiny like the beef it's smaller than the beef bullion cube, and the chicken and shrimp was not as much for the price you paid for it. Overall the food was still good. read more

Imagine melt in your mouth cream cheese, the freshest avocado & tempura shrimp rolled in rice & seaweed & deep fried. Now, imagine that first bite.... All of those flavors just meld into one in your mouth.... YUMMY! That was my experience w the Houston Sushi Roll. The chicken fried rice had tender chunks of chicken & fresh veggies. It tasted really good. I'm not a fan of green bell pepper but I easily picked the large chunks out. The flavor was excellent! The owner Jessenia & her best friend Maria Jose served us phenomenal sushi rolls. Honestly, I don't usually order my sushi fried but this was really yummy. Sinfully yummy. The ladies were friendly & I could see the chef working hard behind them deep frying sushi rolls. We really enjoyed these rolls & we had fun yelling out customers names for the ladies. We figured their voices might need a rest for a little while. Why not help out while we wait? Once I tasted the sushi, I loved it so much that I forgot to take photos! I love that you provided excellent service with a smile and excellent grub to your guests. Their Latin sushi concept is well done. In particular for those that are not a fan of raw fish, their food is very tasty and crunchy fresh They also have bottled water or canned sodas to wash their rolls down with. The San Antonio, Houston, and Cali rolls were made to order. Only the California roll is fresh. The San Antonio and the Houston rolls came out hot and crunchy. Cruisin Sushi certainly gives you an alt-sushi/fusion food feel. I'll keep an eye out for you in the future and try some of your other items. read more

Being a big fan of sushi I didn't know what to think about sushi from a mobile kitchen but, I am glad I tried it. AWESOME!!! The line was long but worth the wait. What a treat Cruizin' Sushi was a part of the "Yelp," Selfie Museum," event. We were provided the option to choose from their menu at no charge. A small sample was given I choose the California roll it came with a side of their brown rice with chicken. It was very impressive. I was quite astonished at the -magic- they accomplish in this small food truck. The roll was Delish & the rice bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I would not walk past this food truck without partaking in one of their options if your looking for Sushi or just not sure what to eat whence strolling around downtown. Thanks CRUISIN SUSHI! Had the pleasure of trying this sushi food truck at an event... I know a sushi food truck and man it was delicious! The service was great and the food was very fresh! One of the best food trucks I've tried in a while. Do yourselves a favor and order the Cruisin Sushi Special Roll and make it a combo. Get the house made jalapeño soy sauce (get extra if you can) for the fried rice. The roll is , so so good, and the crab topped cucumber salad and chicken fried rice are fantastic. Decent enough sushi that is okay, but asked for soy sauce and was handed a light brown sauce that tasted like lemon and had a light taste of fish. Definitely not soy sauce. Sent a friend back for soy sauce just to make sure and we were given the same sauce. read more

It's made fresh to order, super flavorful, fresh veggies ( the carrot strips literally snap when you bite them) and it's topped with avocado and sour cream (optional) for that Latin flair ! The sushi is so good, it has that Texas/Latin twist, especially the hot gurl roll. You can tell they put a lot of creativity into their menu and I think thats what sets them apart from most.
