My friend and I stopped by the Water Park for dinner, and because I wasn't too hungry, I decided to grab a slice from Crush. I've tried a bite of the pizza in the past and thought it was pretty good, so I wanted to finally get my own! The line was a few people long, and it didn't take too long for my slice to be ready. MARGHERITA SLICE - 5.50 The slice was on the smaller side, but I wasn't going to argue since I wasn't too hungry to begin with. But after tax, it was 6.05, which is kind of pricy for just a slice. The margherita slice didn't really look like a margherita slice. It looked more like cheese pizza with a few shriveled pieces of basil and a random slice of tomato, which I have yet to see on any margherita pizza. The flavor was fine, but I also accepted that it's just a cheese slice with a single tomato slice. Maybe I need to try a different pizza if I return in the future. It's just a bit expensive, but that's Water Park for ya! read more

I've had inconsistent experiences here, and unfortunately, things have gone downhill since my first visit. I really enjoyed the pizza the first time around, but it hasn't lived up to that standard since. On my most recent visit this week, I ordered the lunch special: a slice of supreme pizza, a "Greek salad," and a drink. I took my bag to the waterpark area, ready to enjoy my meal. But when I opened the salad, I was immediately disappointed. It was a barebones version of a traditional Greek salad--just peppers, olives, onions, tomatoes, and cucumber topped with feta. No Romaine lettuce, even though it's listed as an ingredient for the Greek salad on their ToastTab online ordering page (see image). Wanting to clarify, I walked back to the restaurant and asked about the missing lettuce. The employee informed me--bluntly--that the salad doesn't come with it. When I asked if I could have some, her response was dismissive: she motioned toward the register and said, "Sure, you can have some lettuce, if you pay for it." Had she handled it more politely, it wouldn't have left such a sour taste. To add to the confusion, there are two menu photos posted on Yelp that describe the Greek salad as including Romaine. However, the printed menu at the restaurant has since changed, and the lettuce has been quietly removed. So buyer beware--what you see online may not match what's served. Between the misleading menu and the rude customer service, I'm not sure I'll be returning. read more

Located in National Landing's Water Park, Crush is one of the two places in that park with indoor seating (as well as outdoor) and depending on the weather it can be closed or open air. They have a rotating pizza flavor each month, but also have some yummy staples, my favorite being the mushroom lemon cream. They also sell wine, beer, and soft drinks. Sometimes they also host food and/or wine related specials and tastings with the park. Every time I go, service is prompt and friendly. read more

Slices were amazing! Nothing like a warm delightful day with your lovely daughters having pizza and sips. Glad we found this spot. Right in the park. Service was pretty good. I really like pizza shops that offer indoor and outdoor seating. The patio in the park gives opportunity for sights. The slices are well portioned and made very well. Thick crust but thin dough under all the goodness. And of you want a libation, there are plenty options! read more

FOOD I ordered a regular cheese slice for $6. I was really craving pizza, so I quickly devoured it, but I wouldn't say it's a slice to go out of your way for. That being said, it's a great option if you're visiting the Water Park and/or have company in the area for the warmer months since other food stands are at the park as well (e.g. PhoWheels). SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. AMBIANCE Crush Pizza and Wine is located in the Pentagon City Water Park and shares outdoor seating with neighboring vendors. PARKING Parking garages are available nearby, though we parked over at Gravelly Point and enjoyed a nice walk to the park. read more

Came to check out this new pizza place at the water park in National Landing. We split a mushroom lemon cream pie and it was very good! The lemony flavor decimated shines through. It's a big pie, the crust is thin, and it's loaded with cheese. Also recommend the pistachio gelato! Our group liked it better than the straciatella. It came out hot and fresh and I would come back to try a red pie too. They have indoor and outdoor seating and when we went it was a nice day so they opened the area to be indoor/outdoor. Indoor seating is a little limited. They also host fun trivia on Mondays! read more

I have been here several times in the past few weeks. the food has always been hot, fresh and delicious. I am trying to force myself to try other slices of their menu, but I simply do not want to fix what is not broken. Of the two I have had (sausage/pepperoni/sausage with red/green peppers) I love the pepperoni and the sausage with peppers. I ALWAYS ask for insane amount of fresh hot garlic which is just DeVine because I am eating by myself at either lunch or a light dinner. The staff there is always polite, professional and making sure they understand my order (because I ask for INSANE amount of garlic on my slice). My go to for veggies is the Greek Salad. I love that they give two choices for Lunch Specials. I have Never been there when the bathroom was not clean. They have always played nice general music. The space is always clean, quaint and cozy. I am looking forward to going on the weekend for Pizza and Cocktails. read more

This place reminds me of a typical NYC pizza joint in some ways. I like this place because it's quite clean and orderly. There are plenty of tables outside, but there are only a couple tables inside. Delicious thin slice pizza. Good food combos that are affordable. Some great options for their pizzas. You may want to try their version of a margarhita pizza or their garlic cream or their version of pepperoni or cheese. Friendly management and quick service always. I usually come here if I am not in the mood to cook dinner. Convenient location in Crystal City too. read more

Opening night at water park- We got the garlic white pizza it was so amazing. It had so much garlic that it almost tasted like cheesy garlic bread. I would definitely go back and try more pizzas. I heard you have to try their pepperoni pizza with hot honey. We tried this place on opening night so we can't really comment on service. It's part of an outdoor food hall called the water park! It's next to a lot of other food vendors and is in an open outdoor area with tons of seating ! read more

Came to try this new spot out during the summer but oh my was it hot. They have an indoor area, but it's small so it looks like they choose to open the walls/windows so that there is no place that's cool, but the inside is still in the shade so an improvement from outside seating. Personally I think this is a minus for me. The seating in this plaza is questionable at best given the climate is often too hot or too cold. The wine prices were decent and the pizza by the slice seemed to be a better deal than a whole pizza. We wanted to try different flavors and a whole pizza would've been too big. I thought the mushroom cream was excellent. Would probably come back for this. Wish they'd have draft cider and/or beer instead of wine. Had a glass of wine too but it was just so hot. read more

Came here on Labor Day and got a slice of Margherita pizza. Ordered at the counter and had a seamless experience. The deal is 5.50 for a slice of any of their pizzas, including a pizza of the month which rotates. This one available when I went was a chicken pesto pizza. The crust was delicious and the sauce was decent. My only complaint is that the basil wasn't that fresh. Overall solid slice. read more

I love a good pizza spot! We discovered this spot after exploring the area we were staying in. I was staying at the crystal gateway Marriott, and had no clue that the Waterpark area with all of these food options existed. Crush has options to buy by the slide or a whole pizza. I opted for two slices and ordered a beer. They also have wine, and aqua Fresca options. Service was great, they bring the food out to you and there is plenty of outdoor seating area available. read more

Perfect lunch spot! They have very large pizza slices with a really good crust and its always consistently good. I usually like to get a two slice combo with a drink for $12. Hard to beat that with how expensive other meals at the Water Park are. My go to slices are the White Garlic and the Sausage and Pepper but they also have a slice of the month that they switch up thats always good too. The service is friendly and they crank out slices very quickly. If you need a quick meal to grab this is your spot. read more

They used to have pizza slices for $5, but they recently did away with that. Their salads are also super overpriced for something you could easily make for yourself at home if you had the time. I usually enjoy the taste of their pizzas despite the prices, however, today I got a slice of their margarita verde which I was excited to try because of the basil pesto. Yet to my disappointment there was barely any pesto on the slice, and the pizza was folder in half when I opened the box with only half of the cheese and sauce on it. I don't know if I'll return here because their slices are thin and not justifiable for the price of one. Although their ingredients taste fresh, today's slice was very unsatisfying. I also thought the Greek "crunch" salad would come with lettuce because the total price was $12...seems pretty steep for something that's not even a full salad and without any added protein. read more

Best spot for my quick lunch. Have never had a bite I didn't like. Nice staff. Margarita pizza is super fresh and tasty.

Was visiting NOVA and this pizza place was suggested by friends. We ordered two larges (18 inches, $60 total). It was just enough to feed 4 people (3 men, 1 female). We were all surprised with how good the pizza was. The sauce had great taste and seemed freshly made. It was just a solid NY/football style pizza (IYKYK). The homemade ranch was a little runny in consistency but had good flavor. I'd order from here again! read more

I really wanted to like this place, truly. My coworkers have mixed reviews on their experiences, ranging from "best pizza in the area" to "absolutely godawful;" unfortunately, I ended up agreeing with the latter half of that argument. The experience actually started quite well with spectacular customer service. The cashier was very friendly and patient with me while I decided on my order. Once I placed it, receiving the food only took 5 minutes, at most. Even though the location is quite small and only has a few tables, the waterfront location adds quite nicely to the ambiance given in the Crystal City neighborhood. These factors are the sole reason that this review is receiving 2 stars and not 1. As for the food itself, I ordered the slice+salad+soda combo for nearly $20. Unfortunately, I didn't check the food before leaving, so I had already made the 5 minute walk back to the office before recognizing my mistake. The supreme pizza was severely undercooked and floppy, with the crust itself stretching as I bit into it, similar to Play-Doh. The toppings were generous, but unfortunately, the crust itself was too overpoweringly horrific to enjoy the meal. The salad was undoubtedly the most unpleasant part of the meal. I ordered the restaurants rendition of a Caesar salad, which you would think would be hard to mess up. Well, I'm not sure what I got, but it was in no way any variation of a Caesar salad; almost exclusively radicchio, the salad was unbelievably bitter and repulsive. What little lettuce was in the salad was browning on the edges and was likely minutes away from being trashed. The dressing tasted nice, but similar to the pizza, the negative aspects of the salad made the entire thing inedible. The good news is, it's impossible to mess up a Coke Zero in a can! I will not be returning unless I'm in dire need of a soda. Truly unfortunate experience, especially for a place with such outstanding reviews. I'll consider this purchase a $20 donation to improving their food service. Looks like I'll be going hungry today! read more

Crush pizza was delicious! $5 a slice is definitely pricey, but what can you expect these days? Coming from a NJ/NY native, this pizza is SOLID. As a New Yorker I'm usually hesitant on eating pizza outside of NY. And Leary about places claiming to have NY style pizza. I ordered a plain pie and have to say this place was pretty good. The service here is amazing. The workers are always so friendly and take care of me! The pizza is pretty big and they are very flavorful thin crust. I see some bad reviews of this place, but I disagree. I think the kinks have been worked out based on my last couple of visits recently moving into the area. Generally this pizza spot is good. I keep coming back because it is fast and convenient to my work, and the prices aren't too bad. But I notice they skimp on ingredients. Mushroom lemon cream pizza used to have lemon zest, but doesn't anymore. Caesar salad says it has mint leaves, but doesn't anymore. Pizza used to come with ranch, now it's $.75 extra. Oh, and this most recent visit they just never gave me the soda I paid for. read more
