The finger is not for this audience, we were jokingly making a non attendee feel guilty. Haha

The meatball app was delicious soft meatballs in a homemade sauce with a slice of bread which also had a slight salted edge that just topped off the flavor! The gluten free chicken tenders too were amazing! Drinks were well made too. They were short staffed on Friday evening but all remained controlled nicely. Kudos to folks..everyone was nice even the guy delivering food and taking our plates away. Top notch. I'd go again for sure.

Wow. The food here is sooooo good. Everything we ordered was amazing. Burrata n melon. Watermelon feta salad. The bread was salty & herby. The handmade pasta was melt in your mouth. We wanted to go back but we were only in town a couple days

Piece out del Ray has mastered gluten free breading. They have the best gluten free chicken tenders, hands down. We came here on a Saturday night and added ourselves to the online waitlist 20 minutes before we arrived. When we got there, we were seated immediately. Service was pretty miserable, but I think our server may have had too many tables and couldn't keep track of appetizers, drinks, boxes, checking in, etc. Despite the bumpy service, would come back strictly for the tenders...or order pickup! Friendly tip- they're closed on Mondays!

Detroit-style pizza

My toddler asks for pizza nearly every single day, so after spending some time at the playground, I decided to take her across the street for pizza for dinner. The space is rather large which is great for families and large groups. They have high tops and regular tables. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The appetizers were good, but the pizza was just not up to par. My husband loves Detroit-style pizza so when he saw it on the menu, he had to try it. There was not enough sauce, the crust tasted like cardboard, and there was just nothing memorable about it. Piece Out needs to step up its game with Stracci Pizza and Jet's so close by.

This restaurant has a fun sports bar atmosphere with a welcoming vibe. The combination of outdoor space, large bar and small tables makes it easy to find a spot. The menu has delicious scratch-made pasta, pizzas, wings, sandwiches, and more. My favorite orders have been the Detroit-style pizzas and fries. Happy hour is from 3-6 PM. Tuesday to Friday, with drink specials and some tasty bites. The service is fast and friendly.

We stopped back in here and sat at the bar. The service was incredible, the happy hour was super affordable, and the food was great as always. It was relatively slow for a Friday afternoon, but it seems to be more of a locals spot and we dig that. This time we had a GF version of the chicken parm with broccoli rabe instead of pasta, and my wife had the watermelon salad. We will keep returning!

Finally stopped by and was super impressed. Ordered the slow-roasted artichoke app and a rose while waiting for our carryout order. It was slow roasted in lemon and olive oil, and served with arugula, lightly roasted cherry tomatoes, charred lemon. Fabulous.

We went as a group of five for lunch and had a positive experience. It's a newer restaurant and the insides is very spacious with large TVs for sports watching and booth seats. We got a Breakfast Veggie Pizza, Americana, and "Piece Out!" pizzas. Overall they were delicious but didn't necessarily blew us away, especially compared to other nearby pizzerias.

Found our new brunch spot! We usually come for dinner but discovered their brunch menu. They had a special on mimosas for $5. There is a large variety of gluten free and vegan dishes. There is a separate fryer dedicated to gluten free food. We had the pancakes and the classic breakfast. I'll have to come back to try the breakfast pizza, chicken and waffles and other items I can't have elsewhere (because of gluten). Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and tasty food. Highly recommend!

Just okay overall, menu, food, decor, service. Okay bar to watch a game. Pizza just okay, thin crust, no char, and just looks and tastes like a frozen pizza. There are lots of great NY pizza in the DC area; this is not close to them. The back room is downright depressing.

Detroit style pizza and ny style
Jerry T.

One of the best pizzas i have ever had! The Detroit style was nice and crispy and so so good. I should've ordered a whole pie to go. Ny style was tasty but Detroit outshined it. The bartender and server were super nice and made sure the drinks kept coming. Will for sure come back! 5/5

I'm my opinion the best pizza in Del Rey! I really like the expansion of the bar and eatery.

A fantastic sandwich location. I love a good sandwich!…read more I was able to place an order for pick up just before I got on the train to head back. Brilliant! I will definitely for this again on my next trip. I ordered a BLT on multigrain, and a PBJ w/honey drizzle on sourdough. The PBJ is off the kids menu. I'll ask for extra peanut butter and jelly so it's to my liking. I couldn't tell if there was honey on it, it could have been. The BLT was fantastic. I loved that it was not oiled high with all the ingredients. A simple sandwich. It fit the bill and didn't over fill me. A true classic. The multi grain bread was the best! I need to find out where that is from. It was that good. I hope I'm able to try the tuna fish and the egg salad sandwiches sometime they look delish! The staff were quiet, but got the job done. There is a small bar like area to eat in, and outdoor tables in a covered area to enjoy your sandwich.

Great little sandwich shop!…read more It's very popular at noontime. I took a break from my 4 hour long painting class upstairs in the Torpedo Factory to snag a bite. My timing was good, because I arrived right before a work group of maybe 10 people or so came into place their orders. In addition to a substantive sandwich menu, which includes both hot and cold sandwiches, there's plenty of beverage (including wine) and snack selections. Wearing an oil paint-smudged apron (FYI: the reality is that you're still going to get paint on your clothes even wearing an apron), I aptly ordered the Torpedo Artist. The Torpedo Artist is a hot Panini-like sandwich. You can select your type of meat, cheese and toppings. By default it includes lettuce, sweet peppers and deli oil. My sandwich was well-crafted with plenty of turkey and Swiss cheese. However, I didn't especially like this sandwich. I wish I had asked them to hold the deli oil because it was overly pungent with oregano. All I could taste in my sandwich was oregano. But older and wiser now, I know in the future that if I have them hold the deli oil, I'll end up with a great and tasty sandwich.

It's been a few weeks now since my visit but I can still remember and taste the fresh ingredients…read more It's a small shop in del ray but with plenty of seating inside and outside. The staff and extremely friendly. They were so welcoming and really patient with us as we had lot of questions. Even gave us a sample of their lemonade which was refreshing and so delicious had as craving more! Complimented the food so well. We all were so full by the end of our meal but wish we didn't so we could have more. You can tell everything is made in house with so many veggie toppings which I love!! You can get as much toppings as you want, either into a wrap, bowl, or salad. 10/10 recommend!! We also tried the cookies. She said to give them 6 or 8 minutes (can't remember) and they will be ready. Cookies are fresh fresh and always warmed up per order. They were perfect. They have indoor and outdoor seatings. The menu offers outside the bowl they have desserts and also drinks. I ordered gyro bowl with Cucumber Lemonade and it's the best partner! Gyro was moist and all the added stuff tastes fresh. Of course will go back again to try other food in the menu. The only thing you need to consider the parking. This place is so good that it could get packed especially weekends and dinner time. It is somehow close to the King Street Station but it's still quite a walk.

Second best sandwiches I have ever had, but best on the East coast…read more I'm in Arlington on business from the West Coast and was looking for a quick lunch spot when I stumbled into this little hidden gem. I've eaten at plenty of delis over the years, but Eddie's Little Shop completely surprised me with flavors I've genuinely never tasted before. The sandwiches here are incredibly unique, creative combinations that just explode with flavor in ways I wasn't expecting. What really stood out were the huge, fresh chunks of real mozzarella, paired with their homemade-style dressings, sauces, and condiments. It's easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, and I've tried a lot. The portions are generous, the bread is spot-on. I'll definitely be back before my trip ends. If you're in Arlington, do not miss Eddie's Little Shop Deli. Highly, highly recommended!

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Hello, 911? I'd like to report an attempted murder…read more Eddie's tried to kill me with a monstrous sandwich. Saturday, midafternoon, I stop by for an Eddie Mootz ($17) (salami, ham, sopressata, mozzarella, on seeded italian). I'm handed this brown paper bag that weighs, I dunno, 3 lbs? I have to carry this back with me to the Metro. Twice along the way, I have to stop and catch my breath. I get home, my kitchen counter sags a bit where I put the bag down. Cripes, Eddie's. And the sandwich itself? 2 meals, easily. Thick thick piles of meat and a shovel-full of mozzarella. Very chewy bread. I work up a sweat just eating this, there's so much labor involved. I ordered online from the Metro, around the DCA stop, and got a notification it was ready before I got to the King Street stop. Fast turnaround. Eddie's is now on my list of places to make a point of going to for sandwiches in the DMV. Really good sandwich, and a lot of it.

There's also a second floor which is used as their event space. It was a bit quiet during lunch time on this day which worked out as my small group had plenty of choices for seating. Service was excellent our waiter was very attentive and our food items came out in an expedited manner. Their menu features apps like cast iron meatballs, garlic knots, and eggplant parm, several different salad options, 6 different sub options, and of course a plethora of red and white sauce pizza options (by the slice or whole pies) with plenty of add-ons regarding toppings and glazes. The wine menu is also pretty expansive with some very nice selections. I ended up ordering the chicken caesar sub ($18) and the vanilla bean brûlée cheesecake ($9). The chicken sub was delicious the flavor of the bread and the Caesar dressing that came with it were the highlights, fresh toppings, my only complaint would have been a bit more chicken added to the sandwich. The cheesecake was exceptional as well despite being a bit heavy on the cream topping but that was probably more for presentation purposes. Overall a positive lunch experience, I'll definitely be returning to try out a few of their pizza options.

This was my first time checking out this restaurant…read more I liked the fact that you could order pizza by the slice, but unfortunately the piece I received came out cold. Indicating that it had been cooked a while ago. I also ordered the eggplant Parmesan appetizer. The dish was really cheesy, however it was way over salted. The restaurant only offered one mocktail option, which is a shocker especially since we are in the middle of dry January. I'll have to go back another day and have a proper meal to see if this one visit was just a fluke.
