The container arrived on time, picked up on time and also great assistance if filling out the custom forms. On receiving end in California was a breeze for us. The movers in Ontario who came up to Ottawa for a small fee, will equally courteous, efficient and organized. Overall I am satisfied with MTS moving. Moving is stressful, MTS moving has the procedures and structure to reduce the stress with the clear online tools, notifications and follow up prior pick up and prior delivery. If there was to be any misunderstanding, it would be cleared out rather quickly and the transport went smoothly. They do have a minimum weight for their services, just be aware of that and take into account the coordination and logistics needed for cross country moving. I wanted something cost efficient and avoid some of the headaches and worry that come with other movers. I got my quote and booked it early before the Hormuz war, so they honoured the rates per the quote as opposed to now, the time of execution, where rates and fuel prices has gone up. I would not recommend Rise Movers…read more They arrived 90 minutes late, and when they finally showed up, they were driving a rented truck and weren't wearing any Rise Movers uniforms or branded clothing. It did not give the impression of a professional moving company. The second mover spent much of the day saying his leg was hurting and couldn't lift anything heavy. Even though everything was packed, organized, and there was elevator access, it still took four hours just to load my apartment. To make matters worse, management kept calling the movers during the last hour of the move, which only seemed to frustrate them and disrupt the job. I raised all of these concerns with management, but they still insisted I pay the full amount. They strongly pushed for payment by cash or e-transfer, and my credit card was charged without my authorization. The entire experience left me feeling completely taken advantage of. They also damaged my tables and scuffed my walls. I submitted a damage claim through their website, and five days later I still hadn't received any response. Another thing I found concerning was the company's Google reviews. Many of the positive reviews appear to come from accounts that have only ever posted a single review. I can't say whether those reviews are genuine, but I encourage anyone considering this company to look through the reviewer profiles themselves before relying on the overall rating. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and unprofessional--from the late arrival, rented truck, lack of company uniforms, inexperienced-looking movers, property damage, poor communication, questionable billing practices, and complete lack of follow-up after submitting a damage claim. Moving is stressful enough without having to worry about all of this. I won't be using Rise Movers again.

I used Ninja Movers back in 2019 for a move and had a great experience, so when it was time to move…read moreagain, this time from a condo to a townhouse, I decided to use them again based on that positive experience. Unfortunately, this move was very disappointing, especially considering how happy I was with them the first time. The biggest issue was the wardrobe boxes. The move included two wardrobe boxes, and I had also specifically requested a third one because I had a lot of clothing and other items that needed to be moved carefully. However, about three hours into the move, the movers told me that they had not brought any wardrobe boxes at all. I had to leave the move, drive to Home Depot myself, and purchase boxes so we could continue. I ended up spending approximately $120 out of pocket for boxes that should have been provided as part of the service. This was particularly frustrating because the request had been made in advance and the boxes were part of what was agreed upon. The move was initially quoted at 5 hours but ended up taking 7 hours, I had to pay $400 more. Part of the delay was because the movers did not bring the proper tools to disassemble some of the furniture, despite the fact that I had sent pictures beforehand. They had to borrow my tools, which I didn't mind, but they left them all over the place. The travel time was also much longer than expected. The two locations are approximately a 30-minute drive apart, but it took them about 1 hour and 23 minutes to get to the new location. This contributed to the additional labour time and cost, meaning I ultimately paid for two extra hours. At the new place, the furniture was not properly unwrapped or set up. Much of it was simply left wrapped in the protective film, scattered the garbage in the rooms. I understand that moving can be unpredictable and that not every move will go perfectly. However, given my excellent experience with Ninja Movers in 2019, I specifically chose them again because I trusted their service. This time, I ended up paying approximately $120 for boxes that should have been provided, paying for two additional hours of labour, and dealing with several issues that could have been avoided with better preparation. It's unfortunate because I genuinely wanted to have the same positive experience I had in 2019, but this move fell well short of that standard.
