Despite a busy schedule, Matthew was able to accommodate us. He even confirmed by telephone that all went smoothly once it was complete (I wasn't the one who was overseeing it in person. I trust him to do a proper, good job and he always delivers. Thank you Matthew!!

Young kids kids ;16-19 don't have the ability to do what real movers do. Left my elderly parents at 9 at night with 2 trucks to move in and half the staff we paid for( two exhausted kids). While facing the daunting process of relocating 3 1/2 hrs outside of the GTA, we looked on line at…read morereviews of many places. This company stood out. We contacted the company and dealt with Amanda who was, in a word, FANTASTIC. Amanda arranged a link via phone and as I walked through my house, she asked what was staying, what was going how much help packing did we require, etc. We also wanted a 2 day move...moving everything out on one day and having it delivered the following day. Based on our needs, Amanda drafted a quote, advised us on the number of movers we'd need, the number of trucks, etc. She was bang on and an absolute pleasure to deal with. On the day of our move out, the first team (Junior, Cooper, Fabio and Adrian) arrived on time and ready to go. We escorted them through the house, garage and backyard and told them what was being moved vs. remaining items. Junior said to leave it to them and they started loading the truck. Cooper was a wiz at wrapping furniture in moving pads, Fabio arranged items to go out first and Adrian did grunt work. All four were a pleasure to deal with and were extremely careful in ensuring items were packed securely. Working as a team, they had our house emptied in about 5 - 5 1/2 hrs (almost exactly what Amanda quoted). The following day, Truck One arrived as scheduled on time with 3 of the same team members (Junior, Cooper and Fabio). They immediately started unloading. When they were almost done, Truck Two arrived (perfectly synched with Truck One going emptied). On that truck was Adrian and two new faces..,Austin and Stephen. This team of 6 had the trucks emptied in no time, putting boxes, furniture in the correct rooms all while being cognizant of not damaging anything. When done, we tipped the movers and thanked them for their efficiency. They were amazing to deal with. In reflection, every interaction we had with the staff was nothing short of stellar. You hear horror stories about moving companies and Rent--a-Son couldn't be further away from those stories. They were everything we had hoped for...careful, efficient, friendly, fast and mindful of your things. By the way, our final bill came in just under Amanda's quote..no hidden charges..everything laid out as she explained. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

I didn't have a lot of stuff to move and I knew it would not take long to go from my house to the storage unit. I was quoted $615 for 2 hours and 45 minutes. I do want to say that the movers themselves were amazing. Unfortunately I got ripped off and I will never use them again.

I had to wait 45 minutes untilI could use the elevator and Hey Presto were understanding and didn't charge me for the mishap. Not to mention they were quick and efficient. The best part of their package is they don't charge travel time for downtown moves (since they are located downtown). They also charge for their exact time (you pay per extra 15 mins after 1 hour). Vlad responded via phone first, then followed up via Yelp messaging with a quote within 20 minutes. I've learned over the years that good service is worth every penny, but with that said, the prices are very reasonable and competitive or cheaper than other movers. Before they showed up for the move, they called ahead to confirm the pickup time. Two friendly gentlemen showed up on time and got right to work after confirming the agreed upon prices. These guys did not rest and moved very quickly on what was a scorcher of a summer day. They were professional, friendly, and did a fantastic job both in the pickup and drop off our stuff. They wrapped everything carefully and secured our possessions in the truck so they wouldn't slide around during the drive. They also did the whole move in exactly 3 hours, which is the minimum you pay for (common among moving companies). So the quote was exactly what we paid. I was incredibly impressed and would definitely use Max Moving again.
