Crunch Danvers is amazing! The gym is clean and never super crowded (at least when I'm there in the AM). Cody the manager is great! He so helpful and friendly. You can tell he truly cares about the members. The group fitness classes are fun with great energy and people. Also, the personal training with Rose is top notch. She is always challenging me and pushing me out of my comfort zone, but still manages to make me look forward to each and every workout. The tanning and massage chairs are a nice perk too. After being assured that my membership was cancelled, I am still receiving emails stating that I have an upcoming event for personal training. I contacted Crunch Fitness Danvers again, and was told that the manager I spoke to no longer works there, and didn't know how to properly cancel memberships - shocker! Now I've reached out to Scott, the new manager, hopefully the second time is the charm and the membership will be cancelled. I've spent more time trying to cancel the membership than actually using it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM! Here's a tip for other members who got screwed over from this gym - you can contact your credit card company and have them put a merchant block, so Crunch can't charge your card. You'll have to submit documentation that you attempted to cancel, which I'm sure you all have, and was ignored by the management. read more

I signed up in January and love it. I train with Rose 3xs a week, she is excellent. she knows her shit. I can honestly say I never have been more dedicated to a gym routine than I am now. She has given me the motivation to make myself better. Such a great feeling when someone can see something in you that you thought was gone. As far as the gym goes, it's clean, staff is friendly, and the group classes are awesome. I don't feel intimidated when I am there, everyone is doing their own thing and not paying attention to everyone around them. That is huge for me, I hate when you are working out and you know people are judging you just by the way they stare at you. I NEVER have felt that way at Crunch. I am following up to the review I sent the other day, in addition to the review my referral I provided to "CRUNCH" Fitness DANVERS, MA a few days back. You as the "New Owner" of this Franchise stated in your follow up said you understood our concerns and would follow up "PROMPTLY". Neither of us have heard back from you or at least acknowledged. This is more than concerning as it is in line with your lack of concern for new members and new members are what you need This specifically relates to the Deceptive, Unethical and Non Transparent practices your gym has in place as it relates to Personal Training packages. The ask is for you to please respond promptly as you stated. Specifically to resolve the issue. To those thinking about joining this gym, my recommendation based on my experience and friends I referred is to stay clear ! The financial practices this new owner has in place are Deceptive, Unethical and boldly not Transparent. You would be best served by looking at local area gyms such as Planet Fitness, Best Gym etc... In the meantime, I. Have asked the new franchise owner of the gym to resolve the issue for myself and the people I referred, which has been more than embarrassing. The owner indicated the issue would be resolved. I am still waiting as are my other referrals. This is not a one time issue. Many and I mean MANY other new members are having the same issue. I signed up at this gym when it first opened. I am so pleased with the variety and frequency of the classes that are included in my membership. The quality of the teachers is impressive - Rose and Annie are great teachers and I feel so motivated when participating in their classes. I have been training with Andrew and he is the best. He has helped with through an injury and I am feeling great. read more

I have been a member since its opening and am so happy with my membership. I love the classes and all the instructors, especially Rose. I attend the 5:30 am morning classes every day. The group I work out with is inspirational, and the instructor, Rose, is a dynamo. She motivates me to do my best and is very knowledgeable. She is helping me reach my goal of getting healthy. Be careful if you sign up with anyone for training sessions. My trainer made me sign an " agreement " digitally on a tablet. Later that day i received an email with the copy of that contract and realized it was a recurring 3 months agreement rather than just 1 I had agreed to for a total of $ 2160.00 . The trainer never returned my calls and management wasn't any better. So much unnecessary stress having to fight with such blatant dishonesty. Still dealing with my credit card company to straighten it out. AGAIN BE CAREFUL!!! read more

Don't Join!!! Very disceptive practice , given misinformation to join, and transaction. Now fighting to get the hell out of contract. Got charged when weren't suppose. I signed up with husband during black friday promo 11/24/23 Was told $1 for signup and free rest of year. No charge till January. They didn't have particular machine I wanted. I stayed one week and didn't like it. I literalky only went in 2 times 1st week. I canceled on 12/26/23 told will not be charged. I then noticed on credit card on 2/1/24. 63.98 charged on 12/26/23 for me ad husband 31.99 ea. Then 31.99 on 1/24/24 and 69.99 annual. Danvers, MA stared I didn't provide 30 day and charged from Dec - Jan. I was not aware of charges yet I never went since I was canceled. They never told me I was being charged once quit or still had 30 days. Print on contact says annual 59.99. They charged 69.99 but yay they will give me back $10. Now hubby not happy there and wants to cancel. Didn't like told no charges in Dec then charged. Well today 2/1 need 30 day. Cancel today will still be charged on 2/24/24 31.99 member until 3/24. What happens to 30 day notice. Now giving 55 day notice.  Why not charge only until 3/1.    Should not pay another 31.99 in Feb. Manager Scott in danvers giving me total hard time.  Will not cooperate.  Wants to give me free training session.  I DONT WANT IT.  I QUIT.  what the hell do they not get!!   I was charged 31.99 and thought couldn't go as quit already.   I'm disputing charges on credit card. I'm fighting them tooth and nail.   they have not heard the end from me.   PEOPLE need to know how disceptive they are.   They could provide better customer service, they can make any decision they want.  But they won't.   Once have credit card info, you'll need to cancel the card to stop charges. read more

Let's get one thing straight the gym itself is clean, spacious and brand new no complaints to be had there. My BIG complaint is the training side more specifically the "training or fitness manager". I loved the idea of a kickoff with signing up and trying out investing in some training but I got blown off TWICE for my kickoff and could I get through to the Fitness manager? NOPE. Cause apparently he seems to never be there. Then when I came in for a workout I was directed to Doug who was finally in, who couldn't be bothered to meet with me but was on his phone sitting away from all other staff. I have spoken with the two gentleman who manage the front desk and they have always tried helping the best they could and the front desk workers are fantastic. I gave up on training because clearly the fitness side doesn't value potential customers but to Derek, Conner and Sara the individuals I spoke too at the front desk THANK YOU for taking the time to explain things to me and even help out with a few machines and give some recommendations! read more

Dont sign up for PT signed up for a 3 month plan, They didnt tell me it was a reoccurring payment. Had to go speak to the same manager at 3 different occasions just to get my PT cancelled and he didn't even know to tell me i had to sign a cancelation form. My PT themselves cancelled on me for more than half of our sessions, while lying and said they keep a record of cancelations and I will get those sessions back at a later date. PT itself over there is managed horribly I asked to get my membership cancelled after they sent the contract and everything only to be find out thru my bank I was charged another month. this place is a joke when it comes to management. Also don't believe the whole email them I have the manager doesn't respond because of "liability reasons" and made no attempt to contact me back I had to personally go there 4-5 times with no resolution to my issues just more problems everytime. read more
