I have an underlying medical condition, so Sasha has had to learn about it and be careful in the program she's put together and evolved. Secondly, she does push you to achieve more than maybe you thought possible. I jokingly refer to it as "Sasha's next torture" but really that just my fun way to acknowledge the growth. In terms of results, i think i've surprised myself and maybe on one or two occasions surprised Sasha!

She made me feel comfortable right away from the initial consultation and even as early as our first sessions and eval did such a great job of finding my strengths that it gave me a huge boost of confidence and motivation to keep with it. She does such a great job meeting you where you're at, working around any injuries or limitations, and helping build up your fitness routines from wherever they are (or aren't). She's always paying better attention to my body than I ever have, and in turn, is helping me build up that awareness myself. She's always customizing my sessions to push me further based on what I need to improve on, what I like doing and what I can do. She consistently checks in on where I'm sore or how I'm feeling to make tweaks as needed and is just great to talk to about any other health goals. In just a couple of months, I've already gone from "I should really work out...at all" to already wanting to double the time I'm putting in because of much better it's making me feel. She seriously knows her stuff and is a treasure trove of knowledge and techniques around getting to better understand my body, its strengths and weaknesses, and learning how to build those up together. She somehow makes it fun and I'm usually looking forward to our sessions (and even on the days I'm not, I'm so happy I did it after), and let's face it that's one of the best parts of a trainer coming to you. Whether I show up 100% ready to go or not, Sasha always does and that's something I've never had working out at home or going to a gym. That initial catalyst of momentum to get going and exercise is worth the cost alone--and her knowledge and expertise make it even better when we need to make adjustments to account for my energy, injuries, or goals that session. I'm always impressed with her creativity too! If you buy any fitness equipment she'll help you use it correctly but no matter what you have around you in your home, she'll find ways to use whatever's around in a way that makes me feel silly for ever thinking that gym access or not having a piece of equipment at home was ever a real barrier to me working out. I was hesitant about the investment in a personal trainer at first, but it's exactly what I needed, and my only regrets are not finding her years ago and not having our sessions twice as often! If you're on the fence, meet with her and start with a couple of sessions--I guarantee you'll wish you started with more.

Each class has only 6 members (occasionally 7), which enables the trainers to really get to know the members and their strengths and weaknesses. If you have an injury one week, the trainers will change your workout to accommodate your limits while still giving you a full body workout that will keep you challenged and getting fitter by the day. Always professional and knowledgeable, the trainers set the bar based on each individual's current fitness level taking their goals into consideration. In the past 5 months my body fat percentage has dropped considerably, my muscle mass has increased and I have consistently lost weight. Most importantly, I feel wonderful! If you don't believe me, call and talk with the owner, Glenn Nazarian. He genuinely cares about his members' journeys, and his own story is quite amazing.

After 3 weeks of 3 times per week, I realized I was walking better than I had in 15 years. So then I figured: if I have to spend $3000 a year to have mobility as I age (I am 72 years old), then so be it. I love the classes---I actually look forward to working hard for an hour 2 times a week. My core strength is greatly improved. I always leave feeling like I got a heckof a good workout. My posture has improved (Dave is focused on posture---thanks Dave!). And I have a 20 minute drive---and even that is not a deterrent to my being there. I am very happy at Fitter Female. meg costello

I loved the included classes and the variety of classes. I just couldn't make the class times work for my with my work schedule anymore. The space was clean and the front desk staff was helpful. Review of weverly Oak Club (Waltham, Massachusetts) We are…read moreactive family members of Waverly Oak Club in Waltham, and our experience during the Family Swim session from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM was completely unacceptable from both a customer service and a legal standpoint. According to the club's website, membership terms, and all publicly available policies, there is absolutely no mention of any additional fee for a child to participate in Family Swim, especially not during the 4-5 PM session. Despite this, today we were denied entry and were told that we must pay an additional fee -- the staff even mentioned $10 for the child, and later $80 -- although none of these fees appear anywhere in the official documentation. When we were stopped at the entrance, we asked the front desk staff to show us exactly where on the website it states that a child requires an additional payment for Family Swim from 4-5 PM. The receptionist looked but could not find any such information. She then sent us to the manager. The manager spoke to us in an extremely rude and dismissive manner. Instead of providing proof or pointing to written policies, he simply said: "If we let everyone in, we will destroy our business." This statement was made sharply, with a clear tone of hostility, and with no attempt to justify or explain the alleged fee. It was obvious that his decision was not based on any written rule but purely on his own judgment at the moment. From a legal perspective: Charging undisclosed, non-transparent fees violates basic consumer protection principles, including unfair or deceptive practices under Massachusetts law. Denying access to a service that is already included in a paid family membership constitutes improper performance of contractual obligations. Introducing new fees "on the spot," without written policy or prior notice, is inconsistent with standards of good faith and fair dealing. We left extremely disappointed. This club demonstrates that it can invent new charges at any moment, deny access to members, and treat customers with open disrespect. We do not recommend Waverly Oak Club to anyone.

There are many teachers here and they are really *all* great. Their styles are also varied - so you'll never get bored with the classes... It's never obnoxiously crowded during the day. Huge plus. Parking is easy and safe. They seem to be mixing it up with different class styles (barre) which is great, I just really hope yoga remains the focus... I've heard the wellness services are good but I've never tried... I really like that they are always involved in socially conscious fundraisers... Retail selection is always interesting and changing... They frequently sell packs of classes on special, great deals... My only complaints/suggestions are: bathrooms - could be cleaner (near door handles, etc), and need faucets that will fill a water bottle... Most important - I despise practicing in the dark during the day. A simple privacy film applied just on the bottom of all the windows would allow for privacy and natural light. Lose the old blinds and worn, stained & dirty IKEA shades.
