Very difficult to get the class times I want, as they are usually already full days in advance.

Response to business owner…read more Catie I took 11 classes at your studio, it wasn't just based on today. I would like my unused classes to be refunded as I mentioned in my review. Thanks but no thanks to the coffee, I very much doubt you want to have a meaningful conversation based on your response- you are clearly just worried about the optics. Original review: I get quintessential New England vibes here- surly and cliquey, it's like they missed the memo that being cliquey and mean is no longer considered cool. The owner is definitely the reason (based on a few interactions or I should say few instances of largely being ignored by her ); I strongly believe studio owners set the tone for the way their employees need to treat their clients and I can tell you that every time enter the studio I feel like I need to kiss someone's ring. Reminder: I pay you, I don't need to also cater to you. FTR I have not one time been impolite to anyone here. I walked in today to find the front desk girl ignore me (not new, that's customer service here at least for me. I am a specific demographic in case anyone's wondering... i.e. not white) to continue her very important conversation about Botox with....was it the instructor? There are some amazing instructors here- Grace M and Lauren F are the absolute best. Others - money down the drain. If I have to constantly look around the room to catch on to what's happening, am offered neither form correction nor modifications (I have neck issues and am also postpartum, not that anyone cared at the studio!) then I can just watch a video online. I patronize 4-5 other studios in this area, where they treat me respectfully and like a paying customer should be treated. I bought a 10 class pack with every intention to give them yet another chance but I am not going to twist myself into a pretzel to attend these classes, I'd rather go to a space with good vibes. I am not going to hold my breath for the owner to do the right thing here but I have a glimmer of hope she will refund me the remainder of my money and put some deep thought into how she runs her business. PS Please save yourself the effort of copying and pasting some nonsense of how you are an inclusive studio.

I went to a 6pm class during the week and it was very busy. I was greeted by their very friendly staff at the front desk and they gave me the drill...shoes off, socks on, grab your equipment and find a spot. We started with some exercises on the ground and then weights. Quickly we circulated to the barre, mats, using the ball and the round rubber bands. Let me tell you, this is a serious full-body strengthening work out! I found it challenging but invigorating. The girls seemed at all different levels too. Some beginners and some I felt like they knew what the next word out of the instructors mouth was going to be. I specifically went to see Jess Grasso as she is the owner so I knew she would be awesome. She was extremely professional and talented. I really likes how she would call out your name too and tell you "nice job"' "looking good" or to "work it". I also really liked the music, it kept me pumped up and Jess wore a headset so you could still hear what she was saying. The barre work kicked my butt, especially when using the round bands. Who knew such small motions would be so difficult?! Another thing I loved about it was that you get a great work out but you aren't doing much cardio so you could totally go on a lunch break. It would be fun to go over with some coworkers once a week. One tip I do have is wear long pants/leggings...the rubber bands on your calves/ankles get a little raw if you wear 3/4 pants or shorts. I know that if I stick with Pure Barre I'll be more toned and stronger. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

The Best barre studio in the Burlington area…read more Xtend barre is a great community studio gym in the newer 3rd Ave. No one judges and everyone is super friendly and welcoming. If you are new to barre, it may take a few classes to learn the lingo and form. The instructors are really nice and patient and provides lots of modifications to the workout for all fitness levels. The owner Christina, is very involved in the Burlington community and cares for the members. She does frequent special DJ classes, offers challenges and gives back to the community by donating/hosting fundraisers or helping promote awareness to other charities. The hot room has carpeting, but it is anti-microbial and is outdoor quality (quick drying). The changing rooms are clean with cubbies for your stuff while you're taking class. There are two showers off of the main hallway where the lockers are located. There is plenty of parking in the lot. I usually take the 6:30 pm class as it is conveniently right after work. The class can get really full or not full at all (the smallest class I've been in had four people). Overall the schedule is convenient )there are weekend classes too. They have a great introductory special, which is unlimited yoga classes for a month for $45 dollars (I think--I forget as it was a while ago). Since the introductory period I signed up for monthly unlimited yoga for $99 per month, which is a great deal if you go three to four times per week. The studio reminds me a little of the ones I used to go to in Chicago. Bikram Yoga Burlington is definitely 5 stars!

I've been a member of Club Pilates for over a year and Woburn is my home location. I love this…read morestudio! It is pretty new and always feels clean & fresh. The teachers are wonderful and there is a wide array of classes available based on your abilities. I have a few favorite teachers and I go to their classes weekly. I had the worst experience at the Woburn location, and I feel compelled to share it…read more My friends and I were so excited to try this studio, but from the moment we walked into the class, our instructor, Colleen P. made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was clear she was annoyed that there were 4 new members in her class. She actually started the session without even informing us that it had begun. When I politely said, "Oh, I didn't realize we had started," she snapped at me, saying, "That's the way I teach my class... THEY have all been here before, you need to keep up." I was stunned, and if my friends hadn't been there, I would have left right then and there. Things only got worse from there. At one point, Colleen publicly ridiculed my friend for not knowing a particular move, making her feel extremely embarrassed in front of the entire class. It was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. To make matters worse, after the class, I tried to voice my concerns to the manager, but another member interrupted our conversation. This person told me we had no business being there and that Colleen had informed the regulars to slow down because new people were in the class. Then, as if things couldn't get worse, this person literally challenged me to go outside and fight over a PILATES CLASS. Absolutely absurd. Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this location, nor will I attend any class with Colleen as the instructor. Her rude behavior set a negative tone for the entire class, and it's clear that her attitude trickled down to other members as well. We left that day having lost all interest in returning -- and that's four clients lost in an instant, plus three others who had planned on joining the following week. To top it off, not once did anyone from the studio reach out to apologize for the instructor's behavior. This experience was completely unacceptable, and I'm extremely disappointed.
