Pure Barre Lynnfield has been such a bright spot in my summer! Coming home from law school, I was nervous about signing up again after hearing horror stories about other studios making cancellations or membership changes difficult. But Pure Barre has been the complete opposite: rejoining was seamless, and they even honored a military discount for me for being in the Air Force. The instructors? Amazing, they are all truly special; they remember faces and names, cheer you on, and create such a positive, uplifting energy in every class. Even the little touches, like a bathroom stocked with essentials, show how much they care about their members' experience. This place just gets it! Just finished a class with Amanda and it was amazing! I've visiting from California and trying to keep up with my workouts and took the same class in Fort Lauderdale and this studio was much better than the Florida studio! Amanda was so great with remembering everyone's names and providing adjustments in addition to motivating and praising all her students. I will definitely be taking another class hopefully with Amanda although I'm sure all the instructors are incredible! read more

In general love the classes and most of the Instructors.I do think some of the policies and the tone that comes with them need a revision. I have been coming pretty regularly for about 5months at basically the same time. I was three minutes late 7:13 for a 7:10 class after hitting traffic on 95. Instead of being appreciated("empowered")for getting there (the class from what I could see was not all that crowded but I was greeted by an instructor who was leaving and didn't really get to cross the threadhold). I was not allowed entry- to be fair I was offered a time that evening but I'm a probably a bit of an "an older patron" with a demanding life - I can't just find time later for self care. Bottom line: not sure I'll be back --may need to find a place with more flexibility for those of us who need a bit more support with lifestyle changes. To addend Manager followed up with me oozing with condescension defending the policy "despite the class size" when I then asked her to cancel my my membership from this point - she said you last payment will go through in two days from now (Oct 3). While I'm sure the agreement allows for that-- it definitely shows the character of the business that when given the chance to sincerely show a kind effort to make things right they again failed. read more

I really find the Pure Barre classic classes very effective. I've been to other "barre" studios, but not a fan of other methods. I joined Pure Barre Lynnfield about a month ago (automatic renewal, cannot cancel membership on your own). After joining, they changed the schedule to other classes that I find ineffective (Align, Empower). When asked if I could change my membership due to the schedule change, they responded I could only increase the # of classes (more money) but not decrease the number of classes. When I asked if they plan on adding more classic classes (because they are always full or on waitlist), they responded "we are still feeling the effects of COVID". Hence my only reason for writing this review - anyone still using COVID as an excuse needs to re-evaluate their business plan and start focusing on customer needs. read more

I've been to a BUNCH of barre classes, and before you read this and go "Well, here goes an ex-dancer ballet snob"... I have never taken a dance class in my life. More often than not I trip walking up a flight of stairs. So take that into consideration and keep reading. I. Love. Pure. Barre. I really didn't think I was going to, either, especially since...well, it's a franchised business. I signed up for the new client special ($100 for one month, unlimited) thinking I'd have a mediocre time but that I could squeeze as many classes in for $100 as I could. Six classes in so far and I'm having a freaking amazing time. The classes are expensive, yes. However, having taken more than one class with the same instructor so far and I STILL haven't had a repeat workout, I'm more than willing to shell out the money for this quality workout. The instructors only call out individuals on form when they are doing a great job. Anyone who needs modification, the instructor comes over and talks you through it/helps guide your body into the movement. All without speaking into the mic, so no one knows that I'm struggling so badly with flexibility and gracefulness. Space is clean, staff is friendly, cubbies are in the barre room so you can keep an eye on your gear. One bathroom, but it's clean and really that's all you need for a small space. Two thumbs up for PBL and I'm looking forward to my next tuck and pulse (and inevitable shaking and aching) with the crew here. read more

You can find me here more days than not. I love that it is a workout that is both challenging, can work my muscles to exhaustion, while being safe and low impact enough to do everyday. If you like pilates, yoga or other movement style exercise then you will probably like pure barre. As for this location and the instructors compared to other locations and barre options, Pure Barre Lynnfield is top notch. I have been to other Pure Barre locations around the country and the Lynnfield location is just as good and challenging as the other studios. Additionally, I've been to other barre studios and I actually find Pure Barre to be more effective than the others I've tried. I disagree with the reviewer who stated that she found this location inconsistent. In my opinion the instructors all provide high quality classes, great adjustments, are kind and motivating. I never would have taken a class if I hadn't walked by one day. I was skeptical when I gave it a try, thinking that I'm not a dancer and therefore this isn't going to be for me. Now I'm hooked. Every one of the Lynnfield instructors is positive and interactive. They not only motivate you, they give individualized attention during class, fixing form and giving feedback. I've been to classes with every instructor, and have been impressed with every single one. They also do a phenomenal job of hosting activities, holding contests, and building comraderie at the studio. The only downside is that I want every piece of clothing they carry... and it's not cheap! read more

I am so psyched to be writing Pure Barre Lynnfield's first review!!!! I have taken 2 classes so far at this location and can say I'll be going back- often! I am not a newbie to barre classes- I also go to a similar studio which I also love, but what sets this studio apart from some others is the friendliness of the staff- they are great! Leigh, the studio manager is super nice as well as Elizabeth, one of the instructors. They remembered me by name the second time I took a class-- that is great customer service!. I've purchased the pre-opening 5 week package and absolutely can't wait to start following a marathon I'm running. I am a runner first and foremost which is why I began barre classes to begin with--to really work on core strength & supplement my marathon training and I can say 100% that if you run you'll be amazed at how much this workout helps with training! And it completely kicks your butt... Eeerrrr I mean seat! The only slight drawback is that the classes ARE expensive, but I'd personally rather make a few sacrifices elsewhere and get an awesome workout at Pure Barre! Thanks ladies! I'll be back! read more

I would be here every day if I could make it. It is hands down the best barre studio in the area, and I've tried a few. With barre studios you often get a stuffy, snobby, elitist vibe. Not with pure barre in Lynnfield. Everyone is so friendly, encouraging, helpful and motivating. All of the instructors are top notch. After a back injury last year I took 100 classes in 6 months and I'm stronger than ever. If you are looking for a workout that gives results (you should see changes by the 5th class), will keep you interested, and that you can learn at your own pace without feeling left behind, pure barre in Lynnfield is for you! read more

I came here at the beginning of the year for a new client special- five weeks unlimited. This was my first time trying barre and the instructors and staff were friendly and helpful. They were always available to answer any questions after class. After a few classes I began to get the hang of the moves and felt myself (especially my core) getting stronger. This is a great compliment to all the running and spin I do. While the location isn't convenient for me on a regular basis, I will continue to pop in on occasion. read more

Great work out. In my opinion the instructors do a good job coming around to redirect you. They are available for questions and and point out what you are doing correctly. I just read the other reviews of PB Lynnfield and they are all spot-on. It is absolutely amazing the level of personal attention that the instructors provide. For each exercise, the instructor demonstrates first, then she scans the room to observe each participant's form. If she sees a something that needs to be corrected, she provides the student with 1:1 advice, while never speaking into the mic. This is the type of guidance you would expect from a personal trainer. As a beginner, I need a lot of advice and I have received it. So far I have had Cara, Julie and Erin as instructors. Each of them provided me with great guidance. I know the brand name is Pure Barre however I tend to think of it more as "Pure Addiction"! Pure Barre has become an (almost) everyday part of my routine for over the past year and a half. Every morning we have a class full of women that are friendly, motivating, healthy, and inspiring! Once in a while we even have a few gentlemen join in! Every class is led by a teacher that is filled with life and true love for helping each of us learn Pure Barre. They all know us by name and understand how to coach us for our specific level. Pure Barre has helped me become much stronger, leaner, and self confident. One of the mantras that is said in class..."You are so much stronger than you think" helps me push my comfort zone physically and also be mentally balanced and prepared for my day to come. Even after 260+ classes I am still learning and loving Pure Barre and I look forward to my next milestone of 500 classes! I took my first Pure Barre class in late November of 2014 thinking it would be just another "workout fad" that fades away after a few classes. My first several classes were tough, but I stuck with it and became a total PB addict. Now it's just over a year and I've been to about 270(ish) classes. It's one of the only work out regimens where I see and feel a difference. On top of the physical benefits, it gives me a zen feeling after class. I truly believe Pure Barre Lynnfield is my happy place. Classes are always challenging! The teachers are truly wonderful. They are all somehow able to walk that fine line of being inspiring and challenging, it makes you want to try that much harder to get it perfect each class. I dread working out.. and honestly I feel like i'm not to "good at it.." But I drove by Pure Barre in Lynnfield and something told me to check it out. Immediately I was greeted by the staff with a huge smile, and they filled me in on everything I needed to know. After deciding to give it a shot, I went in, and walked out with the best feeling in the world. Although the first class was difficult, and I didnt think I could make it, The staff was supportive, motivating and extremely helpful! Whenever I was unsure of myself, The instructor would come over and make sure I was comfortable and understood what was going on.. Your muscles may be crying at first but the results will be worth it.. I would recommend this location, and class to anyone.. Beginner or Advanced.. Just put your nerves and fear aside, trust in the staff and I promise you will catch on. Soon you will be wanting to wake up and catch a 6 am class just to start your day on the right foot.
