Class offerings and time options are also really good for the area with lots of morning classes and good variety between yoga, Pilates and weight based classes. Classes are challenging too which is so important to me. My only downfall with this place and why I can't be a permanent member is I can't get over the fact that there are no mirrors in the studio!! I understand this may be common for traditional yoga studios but if you offer these type of weighted classes how can there not be a mirror to check form. Personally a mirror helps me make that mind/body/muscle connection way more but maybe I'm alone in that.

I've been to many spin studios in Boston , even in the heart of the city and, I hadn't found a place anything like this EVER. I take working out pretty seriously and I like intense workouts. I think I may be addicted to this place. I often take several classes a day. Unlike soul cycle where I felt uncomfortable and like I was being judged this place is the total opposite. The instructors are actually a lot better and it's a community there. It almost feels as if your part of a team. Definitely recommend this place if your looking for a spin place or if you want a really good workout and want to feel good about yourself. This place is where it is at.

I like spin classes...and I am man enough to admit it publicly…read more I have been going to spin classes for a while know and I have gone to lots of places to partake in this fitness extravaganza. I have been to gyms like Boston Sports Clubs, to the super fancy Flywheel and the super pretentious Soul Cycle. I ended up at Sweat for a couple of reasons. 1. It was the least snotty of the places I've been. As a guy going to these classes, its not always to feel at ease in these types of places, but everyone here is pretty cool and more importantly they remember my name and I'm a sucker for places that remember me. 2. Its actually a pretty good value. I go with the unlimited package as I try to go 4-5 times a week. It's $80 a month which compared to its similar types of studios (Flywheel is $220, Soul Cycle is $540 for 20 classes...ridiculous). If you do the unlimited you also get free shoe rental. 3. Great instructors usually when you have a better value you sacrifice quality but that isn't the case here. They are all different but all good in there own ways. 4. Convenient times for classes. I take the 5:45 class usually as I like to get in and out and not worry about it for the rest of the day. But they have classes in the afternoon and evening as well. In closing, this is great place to go if you want to get in a great work out with people who don't care what you look like or how much money you make. And listen its not just for women any more its also for lazy middle aged men that want to rediscover the little things in life...like their toes.
