Unfortunately, that completely changed after taking a class with the instructor, Alexander Liviner. From the beginning, his attitude came across as arrogant and superior -- exactly the opposite of what I was hoping for. At one point, he made fun of me for being slow. It was completely unnecessary. If he was trying to be funny, it wasn't funny at all. It felt humiliating rather than motivating. I also got a little confused with the weights and accidentally grabbed the wrong one. Instead of guiding me or correcting me in a professional way, he made a facial expression that made me feel like I was stupid. A coach's role is to support and teach -- not to mock or belittle someone who is trying. It also felt like he clearly favored more advanced participants, giving them more attention while others were left feeling invisible. I left the class embarrassed, disappointed, and honestly regretting that I took it. It was a horrible experience. Lifetime should choose instructors who lead with encouragement and professionalism -- not arrogance or favoritism.

However, I do think there is room for improvement when it comes to overall cleanliness and attention to detail. Unfortunately, my experience in a class with an instructor named Alexander was very disappointing. It was my first time taking that class, and it was completely full. I did not feel properly guided or supported as a beginner. It was very clear that he showed preference toward certain pretty women in the class, giving them most of his attention. At times, it felt unprofessional, as if he was more focused on flirting and showing off than actually instructing. That kind of behavior should stay outside of a professional fitness class setting. Because I did not receive proper corrections, I ended up with knee pain after the session from doing repeated squats incorrectly. As a first-timer, I expected more supervision and professionalism. Overall, the gym itself has great potential, but this experience left a very bad impression. I would not recommend taking his class.

Paul Wellman is the real deal He is authentic and honest…read moreHe is knowledgeable and he treats his clients like individuals and not numbers Paul is avaiable by text and gives you great feedback I have worked with Paul for the past month. He took on my situation and listened to my insecurities. He gave me a personal assessment that acknowledged all my success as I came to Paul having already lost 40 pounds and dropping my bodyfat % to under 17% My goal was to put on more muscle and lose more BF He gave me great insight met me where I was and treated and respected all I have done and then set me up with realistic goals It's easy to just tell people their strengths but Paul was honest about my shoulders and back being weak. He pointed out how it was affecting my posture And although he was able to acknowledge my assets he shared how he can help me build on my strengths but more importantly how I can work on my weaknesses. Attached are pics of my current state after working with Paul for just a month. I have more confidence and I am already starting to see some muscle popping. I have more work to do but he is willing to challenge me to get there. If you are looking for honest feedback, assessment and guidelines...I highly recommend Paul Wellman I appreciate the time and sincerity he has taken in truly wanting to give me good advice and direction as well as criticism which challenges me to not be complacent and to continue to want to build a better, stronger, leaner and more muscular body.

A few weeks ago I complained yelp style about the epic wait/disorganization (who wants to wait 3…read moremonths to start PT?) of the scheduling staff. This is still true and will likely still be true for me (and you) in the future. But I wanted to update about the quality of treatment because it stands out. I've been getting PT for chronic pain for the past year and a half and have worked with 5 physical therapists at different practices. 4 out of the 5 didn't seem to know what they were doing with me and I got hurt pretty badly. Sometimes more than once if I stuck with that person because I thought that's how PT worked. The only PT who seem to know what they were doing was private pay ($$) so I didn't have the highest hopes for this program. But after my first day of finally starting with a PT/OT regimen I realized they really understand chronic pain. Which is great, because literally everyone I have worked with so far hasn't. I love that they have OT here, no other chronic pain program I have been to or looked into has it, because they teach you how to properly do things so you can protect your body. They also build in biofeedback, stress management, coping, and CBT. Holy comprehensive. So if you've started going to a pain clinic and found that it doesn't seem like the best fit, get a first appointment here (2 months + out) then expect your PT/OT eval 3-4 weeks later, and first appointments 2 weeks later. If they recommend the weekly group program the wait may be longer. Stick with your crappy pain clinic until you can finally get in here and I think you'll be glad you put up with waiting like I did.
