And more importantly, if you get stuck in traffic and miss the class you were trying to attend you can probably make it to the next class. The yoga is instructors are really nice and the classes are heated so you really sweat and get loose so you can do more earlier in the class. I like the C2 classes and the flows are really great. YS is a heated bootcamp-type class vs. a yoga class. The instructor is very upbeat and they incorporate weights, lots of squates and jumping jacks to get your heart racing. The studios are quite spacious and accommodates a lot of yogis so it never felt too crowded. I appreciate that CPY has 5 showers in the women's locker room. I never had to wait for a shower and they are clean! The bathrooms are stocked with mouthwash, deodorant qtips, and lotion so you can spa yourself up after a nice workout and shower. The only drawback is the membership is very expensive.. but aren't all yoga studios? They offer a free week for newcomers so I suggest checking them out and get your sweat on!

I was initially quite happy to see a new studio in O2's old space and I had taken classes with Lauren when she subbed there a few times (she was trained at O2 and I believe taught there for a bit, before I became a member) and maybe I just didn't pick the right classes, but I would opt for flow classes at Down Under instead. That said, the prices here are much more reasonable! The cost of drop-ins and class cards at most studios are a huge barrier to making yoga accessible. 866855

If it weren't for the traffic coming off Lake Street to get over to this part of Arlington, I'd definitely be a regular. First things first, no typical yoga studio stink that hits you in the face as soon as you walk in. I don't know if they crank the windows open all the time or if the hard wood floors are a boon but great job on the ventilation. I have a pretty sensitive nose, with overly strong perfume/cologne/BO really getting to me, and Lotus stands out as one of the few yoga studios I've visited where the smell was not an issue at all. I took an evening slow flow class with a focus on the hips and pelvis, which was perfect for my tight hamstrings. Lots of props available. If you get a spot in the back of the room, though, it's tricky to see the instructor demo-ing near the front, so I relied a lot on what my neighbors were doing. They have a cozy seating area and bathroom downstairs that you should check out if able. Check out the website - they have a packed class schedule and an unlimited 2-week special for newcomers.

I had a lot of pain and inflexibility, so I knew yoga might be of benefit. But, as a guy who's not known for graceful moves, I took pause. When we arrived at Dani's private studio, what impressed me the most was how much attention she took to our "practice." She judges no one; it's all about embracing where you are at. At first, I couldn't call it that, but after weeks and eventually months, I became confident, stronger, and much more flexible. While Dani caters to all levels, her studio is really a fantastic place to grow in your Vinyasa practice. It may not be for everyone (there's just not enough space!) but she offers really great instruction at a value that really makes yoga accessible to nearly everyone. She keeps her overhead low and passes that onto you! Dani is also a competitive runner, and has given me much wisdom over the years as I aspire to run better. While I relocated to Colorado some time ago, I always try to stop by for a class when I'm travelling to Boston for work. It's usually the best hour of my day!

Over the last 15 years I have been coming to the studio on & off. Life has been kicking my ass as it has most of us since 2020 & this past summer I reached my healing warrior limit & realized that I had done much work on healing my emotional & mental wounds, but not physical ones. I had no idea what to except when I started this training, but let me tell you it has exceeded my expectations. Be In Union is just that. It is a powerful community space to Be In Union with yourself & others in the community who we share more in common with than we realize. I always just "did yoga". After these 3 months I now understand what it means to have a practice. I highly recommend taking the ride to this sacred, energetic space to take classes. Know that you can show up as your are, even if you simply made it on the mat & lay there for yourself. The Yoga Teacher training was truly life changing for me. My intention was never to be a teacher, I simply wanted to get back in touch with & heal my body. I am grateful that I am now part of this community I never knew I really had, yet have been part of for 15 years. Goes to show how if we push ourselves past our comfort zones things "we never imagined" are possible. This teacher training was one of the best investments that I have made in myself.

Kim, the owner, was really nice and you can tell is so proud of this place. I'm so glad it's a fitness option in Assembly! Everything about the experience is so thoughtfully laid out - from the clean space, supremely organized props room, to the accessible sanitizing supplies. Believe me - an experience is about every touch point of your visit - even the sanitizing! My first instructor, Anahi, was great and the class was both challenging and zen - which is my favorite yoga combo. The energy of a class is 100% set by the instructor so she was fantastic, and set the tone on optional adjustments in poses given some previous injuries. Looking forward to trying a few more classes in my trial - they offer a $36 (?) 3-class trial within 7 days so it's a great way to check out a few different classes to see if it's for you or not.
