My gym is the Burlington location of lifetime but recently I have needed to spend my days on the North Shore. I have gone to this location now a total of eight times. It's the third lifetime location I have been to and it is by far the best. The staff is welcoming and kind. The gym is spotless. The group class instructors are entertaining and committed to giving you a good workout! Even the members of the gym are nicer than the ones at the location near my house! It is a great place to do remote work. I come and do a workout. Do some remote work, then do another workout. Shower, do some more remote work and leave. If it wasn't such a long drive, I would make this, my preferred gym location. read more

My aunt went to take my father swimming at the pool as a guest. They were told they needed to fill out something online in order to do so. My aunt explained that my father has cancer and gets confused, as well as she does not know how to use a phone well. She asked if they could have a paper copy to fill out or if someone could help them, they were told no. To pay that amount of money for a membership, and not get any sort of help for an elder, as well as a sick man, is insane. Disappointed to say the least. read more

Been a member for 3+ years. We have a family membership for my wife and my 2 boys (7 & 15). Finally made the decision to cancel our membership and not go here again. Here are a few of the many reasons.: - Simply not worth the price and it's kind of obnoxious that they raise the prices out of the blue - The place continues to get more and more filthy without management taking care to fix things (e.g., locker rooms are disgusting as I find used Band-Aids all over the place, sinks are disgusting, toilets are always filthy, nobody wipes, down equipment); most of this is because of the Members themselves who don't respect one another, but the leadership and management of the facility should claim a more active role in enforcing things yet they don't - with the exception of the swim staff, the staff at this place has to be the most rude group of people I've ever encountered in any facility of this sort or anywhere for that matter; most all of them are doing their job solely so they can have the access to the facility... they don't care at all about the members; if you are in with them and know them personally, they're super nice, but if you are just a member who uses the facility and does not socialize with everybody, they treat you like an outcast - the GM, Curtis, is non-responsive to emails and feedback; the entire organization is a shadow of the leader, and Curtis is not a good leader, he is never available, he gets defensive the second you raise anything with him about the facility or an issue, and the only time you hear from him is when he's raising the prices. - there is a large contingency of annoying members who use the facility to film themselves; it gets especially annoying when you're waiting to use equipment and somebody keeps filming over and over their workout - Finally, I don't think this is a great place for younger children; I encourage you to do due diligence on the child care center and ask about all the problems they have had; also, in the locker room a few weeks ago I was with my 15 year-old son and we were changing while listening to some 20-year-olds talk about how they stole their dad's 'Androgel" testosterone packets and we're passing them around saying how after using them for a couple of days they felt stronger in the gym (one of the guys even threw his towel to the side and said how it helps him "get hard on command" and encouraged his buddies to watch); Just a glimpse of the type of people that are attracted to this place read more

In general, a nice club but, unfortunately, the food and the coffee they serve in their cafe and lounge is exceptionally poor. After exercising and cleaning up, I would buy a coffee and some breakfast daily except, having tried their coffee and food, it's just so bad that I can't. It depends. I've been a member of lifetime fitness in the past and recently went as a guest. I was annoyed by the service we received by the front desk manager Debbie and her inability to be more helpful and less judgmental. She was extremely unfriendly/rude and unprofessional. I was considering renewing my membership but she helped me make my decision to go elsewhere. Thanks Debbie for tarnishing our friends first time at Lifetime fitness because you didn't want to go above and beyond your job requirements. I came as a guest with my friend. The current policy is that a guest cannot return more than once every 60 days, so I need to wait two months from that last visit before I can go again. It is a beautiful establishment with a café, spa, full bar, steam room, sauna, hot tub, ice bath, indoor and outdoor pools with fully staffed lifeguards. For those with children, there is a full sized daycare and separate kiddie pools at both of their locations. There's even a good size slide for all ages outside! The locker room has fully stocked toiletries including feminine items, shampoo and conditioner, and even lotions. Although with all these amenities, I personally cannot justify the price of $200 a month in addition to the $250 to cover for the use of the outside pool during the summer. I look forward to when I can return and plan to spend the entire day given their stringent rules and costs. read more

This place has everything you need and then some. The three floor experience is wild and all the extra touches just make it worth it. I enjoy coming here. I workout, then some combination of hydro massage, steam, ice plunge or hot tub before showering and heading home. The locker rooms have basically everything you need to get ready. The outdoor pools are lovely and the food is delicious. Ordered a chicken gyro bowl today. Very tasty and felt good knowing I was eating something great for my body. read more

A+++ highly recommend LifeTime Fitness. A super fitness and wellness center in the Heart of the North Shore. My sister took me today for my 50th birthday celebration and it was out of this world great! We worked out in the fight fitness class, then did the hot tub, steam room, cold pool and lunch. We finished with the capper! A 90 minute massage from their master Masseuses in the fabulous LifeTime Spa. I highly recommend requesting Caroline, who was expert level! I really enjoyed this gym when I joined but the yoga classes have gotten so uncomfortable. When I started there were 30-ish spots in the hot yoga room. They are now jamming in over 50 people. Its really not great to be so close to people that you can't actually do the class without accidentally touching someone. When you forward gold your head is less than 18 inches from someone else's behind. Ick. Go elsewhere. read more

I love it here. I go every weekday after work and on weekends I go to the club closer to the suburbs. It's a fun and clean place to be and the staff remember my name and give me a high five, even though I am fully 40 years old, let's not talk about that part. When I first started going to this gym the rates were fair, the gym was very well kept and they didn't try to squeeze every penny out of the club by hosting a class in each and every section of the 3rd floor. Overall for the amount of activity this gym sees the maitenance staff and cleaners do a good job and they all work hard. However the rate raises two years in a row are frustrating when the times I go I can't even find a space to stretch. There's an entire second floor for classes. The 3rd floor was fine when they regularly held classes in the GTX and Alpha space. Now there is a lot more members and even more classes randomly scattered on the 3rd floor... throughout every single day. If I get another rate raise next year I would rather join a lower cost gym without the bells and whistles but actually has room for me. So that I don't have to move my mat because "another class is starting in 10 mins". read more

I've been a member for quite a while and one that that disgust me is the gym not enforcing their own rules. On (3) occasions I've seen women in hot tub and cold plunge go in there naked what really sealed the deal which I don't think I'll be renewing my membership is a middle aged woman go into cold plunge and a a poop stain was clearly visible on her but. I gasped, it's an ongoing thing in there no changes wish they'd do better. read more

This place has gone downhill fast. Membership rates keep going up, and the place is always dirty and crowded. The facility itself is beautiful, but it's horribly run. Rules aren't enforced, people leave their bags in the aisles, slam weights and hog equipment. Paying top dollar to wait for dusty equipment certainly lacks the "upscale feel" the club pretends to have. I joined for the nice facility, but I will be leaving because of the crowds and lack of value. I wish there was an truly luxury gym in the area, because I don't mind paying for good service and a clean, usable facility, which is what this place was at one time. read more

This place has turned into a madhouse for the summer. With the pool only memberships the locker rooms are overwhelmed. The main gym floor used to be great but now there always seem to be a class with an instructor screaming through his/her headset microphone. This if you are working out independently the noise pollution from the main gym floor glasses is actually stressful. So the place is actually not the lifestyle that Life Tome promotes in their magazines. I am very close to dropping our memberships. The plus side is that the gym is clean. read more

This facility exceeds my expecitations and then some. Teaching in the fitness industry for 14+ years and this is by far one place that sets the bar high! i teach cycle classes and group Ex classes here and having such a Supportive managent team as well as instructor team surrounding us with such positivity is amazing. This is a great facility. Yes, It might be expensive but it's worth it. Even during busy times the floor is big enough that there is always a second options for what you are doing. Classes run all day long unlike other gyms. The hours are good, even though when i signed up i did question them about the hours and was promised thwy would never cut back, and if anything they would expand. Great new facility just north of Boston. Not only do they have state of the art equipment, but fantastic kick ass classes- comes with no attitude, seriously everyone that works here is super nice! With working from home this solved some of the work life balance issues where I can bring the kids to kids academy, they have fun and I can work. On the weekends, great place for the family to workout and hit the pool! We even participated in their first parents night out, which is included in the membership, who doesn't need a night out without the kiddos! read more

I went to get a tour of the facility and the staff is super rude.I ask questions about the equipment in the gym and they had no idea what i was talking about, the stuff i asked was basics, like bumper weight and power racks. i told her about my thoughts that the place was too clean as in if no one goes there and no culture in the gym, and she came back at me with" too clean, i wonder how your house looks like". SUPER RUDE. After i told us how this wasn't for us she basically turned personality's. NEVER going back there, if this how you guys treat a guest, i hope no one ever goes to that place. if you guys want a good gym i recommend salem fitness, best fitness, or even planet fitness. good staff, good equipment, and don't charge you 120$ more for a pool and a cafe. read more
