Today, I was trying to explain to this poor kid Sam who works there that I'm the one paying him to use the gym, and he shouldn't act like it's my privilege to pay him to use the gym. But again, it all goes to management. A really kind, hard-working female staffer named Kathy told me that Rick bullied her around, too. I know she put lots of work into cleaning the place because I saw her do it. And I think she's been axed because she refused to put up with Rick's bullying. Not too smart, keeping the former owner on; just not smart management. It'd be like Trump hiring Clinton. Coincidentally, she's not the only staff member Rick laid in on with the verbal attacks. Bottom line, management treats membership as if it's our privilege to walk into their gym, and use their tiny, TINY little locker-room. The hot water tank runs out, and because the landlord's apartment is attached to the same hot water tank, the landlord complains because his water tank ran out of hot water. It's the most absurd customer service experience ever. I'm kinda stuck there for a while, but the attitude of the people who works there is a reflection of the management's reckless disregard for membership. Hamilton Athletic Club makes working out uncomfortable and the already absurdly tiny shower room just plain weird.

This gym used to be packed with people and classes use to fill up pretty fast. In 2024, BAC is pretty much empty. Plus, now there are cameras literally around EVERY corner of this place. Creepy. Anyway, it seems like everyone moved to Blink. Probably won't re-sign up if I come back home permanently, but won't join Blink either. Friendly employees at BAC, but too few members and too many cameras. Joining Blink is joining A.I. No thanks to both.

Not to mention, the building (including the locker rooms) is very clean. Outside of that, they have open pickleball, open swim and several leagues that go on throughout the year. Also, this location has a little cafe where you can hang out and get a drink if needed! You definitely get your bang for your buck here. This place is a really just a 7 day daycare/night care center and not even a usable gym for adults…read moreat any time of day. There are better YMCA's elsewhere for adults to use. There are very few adult members at any time at this location when I've been there when compared to others, whether morning noon or night. It's very crowded and stuffy with poor air circulation if you don't mind sweating a bit more in the gym and dehydrate faster. I wasn't comfortable. It's mainly for little rude kids at summer camp and large sizable child swimming classes if you can take them running though all the locker rooms and gym. The staffs councilors have very poor control over the small groups and do not speak up and control the group and let them do what they want and abuse the facility. There are far better gyms to go to in the area, such as Gloucester YMCA, which facilitates both nicely, and you get a break from the kids at least because the gym is upstairs. It's set up pretty well, unlike Danvers. The front desk staff have no idea what they are doing and sit playing games on the computer, not paying attention as I've noticed a few times while children run wild in the lobby. Go elsewhere if you don't want kids getting in the way playing out of control games.

Each yoga/workout move was easy to follow and pushed you to a higher level if you chose. You worked every muscle. Laurence's teaching technique and voice was calming and relaxing. After taking this class it made me become aware of how my core muscles lacked strength and felt the improvement after the 5 weeks. I would recommend taking a class with Laurence.

All beautiful Goddesses! The Zen Buddha with Mona was lovely. I definitely recommend taking a class at either one of their locations. The vibes are everything!
