I have held off on this review for a while. So this would refer to about a year ago but I don't…read morethink a lot has changed from the recent reviews I have read. I had a membership and was getting some individual training and paying for that. Then I got breast cancer and after my surgery and during radiation I requested to put my training and my membership on hold but told them I would return as soon as I could. I can't recall now but they have a policy of putting things on hold for only a limited amount of time and then it starts back up again - even with the letter from my surgeon and radiologist. So they were charging me while I was recovering from surgery, etc. For some strange reason - I had imagined they would be sympathetic and might want to partner with me in my recovery. But that would be a big no. They had zero sympathy and insisted that charging me was just their policy and that was that. I was super disappointed in them on many levels. I cancelled my membership and of course that was complicated as well. I spent money on many months of membership and personal training I could not use and showed very good reason for not being able to do so. Just sad - helping someone recover and get their strength and self esteem back after traumatic surgery ... well that would have been a nice review to write. Just wasn't going to happen here.

Some of my thoughts and opinions since trying out this gym. I went at around 6:30 pm friday which…read moreshould be somewhat busy. My first impression of the layout is that. Its extremely odd. As you come in theres a decent sized front desk area and waiting room. The layout of the gym is pretty open but its quite small for a gym in my opinion. You can see the entire gym from the front desk (besides a portion of the turf) which feels weird when youre working out. The most strange part is how someone thought it was a great idea to place the cardio section as the first are in the gym as u walk past the front desk. I dont know how many people feel comfortable with having everyone coming into the gym see you when youre most vulnerable lol. Theres also weird sectioned partition walls (about 3 ft) to cage this area in. I think they could of done away w this. The other main issue I have is how the gym smells like dirty socks/ mildew Other cons: - only 2 squat racks and 1 smith machine - limited cables - very dated bathrooms/lockers/gym - like i mean it looks like the tuscan italian 2000s kitchen aesthetic - didnt see any 2.5lb weight stack for the cables/machines (this couldve been hiding, but accessories should still be easily accessible) - overpriced for what it is. I think this gym is worth $20 a month w an max annual fee of $40. As of 1/14 the basic membership is $25/mo + $150 start up + $60 annual fee - womens sauna light wasnt working Pros: - somewhat new machines (but not well kept) - incremental dumbbells up to 30 lbs or something - gender saunas and in locker rooms ( the co ed communal saunas that r near the pools are never clean and nice) - nice and friendly front desk guy (younger 20s/teens - has a nice turf

I want to leave zero stars for the staff, especially the manager at the Haverhill location, Wilkin…read moreLara. However, the manager wouldn't give me their name so I used the name at the bottom of the email. I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with this gym has been frustrating enough that others should be aware before signing up. Do not sign up here, better gyms out there!!!!!! I initially reached out for simple account information, and it took several days just to get a response from the manager Wilkin Lara. Once I finally did, I was given inconsistent and escalating fees--first I was told it would cost $150 to downgrade my membership, then $300 to cancel, despite having been a member for over a year. The pricing explanations felt unclear and changed depending on what I asked, which made the process extremely confusing and frustrating. When I asked for the contact information for upper management to better understand the policies, I was told that information could not be provided. That lack of transparency was disappointing and made it difficult to resolve anything directly. Communication overall felt disorganized and unhelpful, and instead of working toward a reasonable resolution, the situation escalated to the point where I was told my account would be sent to collections very quickly, even though the billing situation was still being discussed. My bill was due the 13th and Wilkin said he sent my bill to collections on the 15 of April. Is this really how this gym does business? Unfortunately, I expected more professionalism and clearer communication from a fitness center, especially when it comes to account changes and cancellations. Instead, it felt unnecessarily difficult to get straightforward answers. At this point, I've chosen to move on and will be finding a different gym that offers clearer policies and better customer service. I would strongly encourage others to carefully review the membership terms before signing up here, especially regarding cancellation policies and fees. I suggest getting new management who can communicate with members.

He is on time Everyday, says good morning to every tired soul that comes through the gym door. So if you are not an early bird FORGET ABOUT IT! I overheard the so called manager being rude to a member about the new policy they have about charging 20 dollars for a guest and her child going into that dirty daycare. I wish someone would slide me their card when I ask for a manager. (WHAT A SMART A$$)! Maybe he behaves that way because it makes him feel big. Let me tell you, you catch more bees with honey than vinegar and one should not bite the hand that feeds you. So stop being nasty to the people that pay your hourly rate. Mr. I am the Manager.
