Very cool old 50s diner with a vast menu of choices to eat. Anything from sandwiches to bbq that can satisfy anyone's cravings. I wouldn't say it's the best if service but it's a very busy restaurant so I can imagine it gets a little overwhelming as a server So many choices to go after but I did notice the smokers out front so I had to go with the bbq sampler player and my wife went with the prime rib. The BBQ samples platter was a good route to try out all the various meats. I was a bit excited for the beef ribs but that ended up being the meat I didn't like as much. The pulled pork was nice and soft, the brisket was good, the sausage was nice and juicy, but the pork rib was mostly bone with no flavor and the beef rib didn't even taste like it had seasoning on it. The BBQ seem to pull together the dish to be honest. The portion could if been easily shared but can be eaten by one person if you are really hungry. The prime rib was on the smaller cut but wasn't too bad. I did think there was a seasoning issue once again but some A1 sauce made it good to eat. At first we weren't impressed. Staff kind of brushed us off. After getting a table, someone came up to us and said she would look for our server. Apparently we didn't have one. After not having a server for over 10 minutes, Jasmine M. took initiative to be our server. Not only was she friendly and helpful with the menu, she also was helpful with to things to do in the area, as we are from out of town. She was very knowledgeable and attentive. Look closely- no one exiting the restaurant has a smile. I had high hopes for this place but honestly, I wouldn't bother eating here. Yes, it's a tourist stop, yes it's large, and yes- patience is required. We were sat right away (good), we waited for 15 minutes to see our server for the 1st time (), we waited another20 minutes to give our order. Then we waited 62 minutes to receive our food. There was no line, there were empty tables- what gives? Burger was ok- not worth the $18. My pulled pork sandwich was a weird gray color and flavorless with a dollop of gross bbq sauce on top of a soggy SOGGY onion ring. Started in on my sandwich- it was cold and the meat had been sitting on the bun so long before we were served that it was slimy, mushy, and inedible- definitely not able to be picked up even. Which explains the soggy onion ring. Fries were good though but basically tasted like McD's. As big as the place is- there is one men's room and one women's with a total of only three toilets and one urinal. Although we refused to let onto our kids how bad things were going so they could enjoy themselves, I think the vibe and the waiting just put a huge cloud over our next leg of travel. The walls have some cute memorabilia but it's all dirty and dusty so just so unpleasant to look at. Advice: skip it! read more

Love love loved this place! I have been to William's several times and have always seen but never tried this place. I assumed it was like every other retro diner, Johnny Rockets lol, and I didn't have many expectations when it came to the food. I had family in from out of town and they wanted that classic "Route 66" experience so we opted to give this place a try, and I am so glad we did. The atmosphere in here was so fun, I definitely recommend checking out the bathroom. I loved the self serve drink station and we were seated in the back area which was must appreciated since we were traveling with little kids. We were a fairly large group and our server was so patient and accommodating when we kept needing a few extra minutes to explore the menu. I think we each got something different and no one was disappointed. I got a plain baked potato and bowl of chili and for something so simple, it was the best I have ever had. My daughter was a handful, spilled her apple juice and requested ice cream after we had already paid the bill and our server was just as kind at the beginning of the service as she was at the end. The decor and style of this place is cool! We were sat quickly and told drinks were self serve. Took about 15 mins to see a server once seated. Even though there seemed to be lots of staff there. It was an hour away from close. For a $20 burger cruiser's is just okay. Burger patty is 1/2 lb but ours were chewy and over cooked. Kids meal grilled came on thick but very dry bread. This is an old but spunky place. We were here about 730 on March 17th. Waited for 40 minutes for a seat. In all fairness it's a small place. The people working there were very kind and helpful. We order mozzerella stick which were super delicious. I loved that they had diet dr pepper. My kids got burgers. Rarely can go wrong with a burger. My hubby and I shared a BBQ sampler. We had a love/ hate relationship with this platter. They advertised stuff is smoked daily. I'm not sure. The sausage is okay. Reminded me of a hot dog more than sausage. The beef rib was very disappointing. I know that beef ribs are hit and miss but this one at literally a very burnt end ans not a sliver of meat. Nothing at all. The. Darn, we were doing so good on finding cool places & hitting home runs with food but Cruisers was a straight miss. 2 stars for the service, the waitress was friendly and so was the bus boy. They were the highlight of the meal. Other than that I spent $90 for my family to eat (well, except my kid because the fries in his meal were so crunchy he didn't want to bother with them) and the food was "eh" at best. None of the nicer steakhouses were open (even though their website said they were?) so we ate at the only place that had a menu with something other than carbs and glutens. Ordered the BBQ Sampler and a salad with candied walnuts and chicken on top. Such a disappointment! BBQ was the worst we've ever eaten. The salad had a hair in it and the chicken seemed to be parboiled or microwaved. I was worried my husband's taste was messed up because he said that the beans, coleslaw and potato salad all tasted "off"... until I tasted them too. Yuk. The only redeeming feature was that the walnuts were good. The wait staff were nice but we waited a long time to order and to get our check despite the slowness of the day. We spent the whole day at the Grand Canyon. This wasnt far from our hotel, and being a Sunday in September, one of the only places open. It looked fun with a very casual menu and the smoker smelled awesome. We sat outside where there was live music. They lit fire pits, too. First off, the waitress says if we want a soda or water, the soda fountain is inside and to get it yourself. This seemed odd, but ok. I got us water. We ordered drinks and nachos. My husband got a strawberry daiquiri that he said was so sweet it may as well be a milk shake. I got a Floradora which was pretty delicious. The nachos were amazing!! We wish we ordered 2 of them for our meals, because the pulled pork on them was tender and flavorful. We ate the whole thing. I ordered a chicken sandwich with onion rings. Chicken was bland, but at least the bun and the veggies were fresh. The onion rings were nothing special. I should've gotten fries. My husband got a bacon cheese burger. He was not impressed. He said it was obvious the meat wasn't fresh. All in all, the meal wasn't bad. It may have been better if we stuck to brisket or ribs. That pulled pork was the best part of our meal and the only reason its not 2 stars. The waitress, although very friendly and helpful, disappeared for quiet a while. We assessed our bill on our own and it seemed a bit higher than we anticipated. However, they don't print you out a check. They tell you what it is and wait for payment. As cool as this place looks from the outside, I wish we found someplace else to eat. If you can't have a decent burger with a smoker outside, than don't offer it. Tasty BBQ. We had the BBQ platter which had beef ribs, pork ribs, sausage, pulled pork, and brisket. All of the meat was tasty except the pulled pork. It was colorless and had little flavor, and a lot of fat. The brisket was ok. The best meats were the ribs. I preferred the beef rib. We had the beans and cornbread as sides which were tasty. The Staff: Thank you for your excellent service! Very friendly, and fast! I think we waited between 5-10 mins from ordering to receiving our meal. The food: I ordered the Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich with sweet potato fries & the Grand Canyon mule (prickly pear). I'm very particular about my mules, and this just exceeded my expectations! Let's just say I usually don't finish my meals, no matter how good they are, but I don't think I left a single bit left on my plate. Maybe I was THAT hungry, but also, maybe the food was THAT good. Oh! Definitely recommend getting the jalapeño poppers to start! You'll thank me later! When we walked in, I saw everyone drinking these giant bloody Mary's and I knew I had to have one...it did not disappoint!! First place we dined here on our first day , great place inside , outside live music and in game room . The smell of the outdoor smoker lured us here with promises of real BBQ , classic and pure . We were not disappointed I had the Giant angus smoked burger with smoked brisket , came piled high with slaw and pickles and cheese , and side of fries . It was a pure 10 out of 10 . My wife had the smoked brisket sandwich with onion rings , also 10 of 10 .
