    Chocolate Croissant and Cheese Danish

I was so pleasantly surprised at how soft and fresh both this danish and chocolate croissant was! You don't find many places that have such fresh pastries. I highly recommend this little shop! Friendly staff and very welcoming! I'll be back to try more!

I'd love to gate keep this cafe for myself cause I genuinely enjoyed the peace and quiet while I was there. There's big enough seating for business meetings or work from home girlies who want a different view while working. I like how their matcha is not overly sweet. You can taste the strawberry and the matcha doesn't taste grassy either. Their croissant buns are perfectly flaky and not oily at all. And last but not the least, their macaron is simply divine. Service is similar to other cafes but I noticed a handful of customers that the cashier knew so they must have regulars already even though they just opened. I hope the quality of food does not change. I definitely found my new go to cafe since this is so close to home!

Absolutely loved my visit to Cruffin & Tea This beautiful French-Asian bakery on Southside feels like such a hidden gem in Jacksonville. The pastries were incredible -- flaky, fresh, and full of flavor. The cruffins, croissants, and artisan pastries honestly reminded me of being in Europe -- everything tasted high-quality, thoughtfully made, and truly special. You can feel the intention behind every detail: fresh-baked goods every morning, no artificial dyes, homemade sauces, premium ingredients, and drinks that are just as good as the pastries. The pistachio cruffin and the strawberry and mango matcha were standout favorites -- so fresh and perfectly balanced. What made the experience even more meaningful was meeting the owner, Katelyn. She is genuinely kind, warm, and passionate. She took the time to come over, share her story, and talk about the heart behind the café and the love that goes into everything they create. We even bonded over food -- she loves Indian food, I told her I make the best, and we instantly connected over my love for croissants and her love for butter chicken. That personal connection made the visit even more special. This isn't just a bakery -- it's a dream, a passion project, and a place built with love and care. So grateful to have this in our community. Highly recommend supporting this beautiful local business -- you'll feel it in the atmosphere, the service, and every bite. We got there a bit late, I would say around 5pm. Not sure if they were just out of bakery items or they just didn't have anymore on display but we were able to snag a strawberry croissant. It was delicious, it was light and the filling was not too sweet. It's big enough to share but I also didn't want to share. Mango sticky rice has coconut milk, and it really tasted like mango sticky rice. You can't go wrong with the strawberry and mango matcha if you like those flavors. Parking is a bit sparse, it's a small parking lot.

Love and hate that this new bakery is down the street from me because I'll be coming here so much! The inside had a great atmosphere and was decorated very cute like you're in an outside garden! There is an iPad you can order from or you can order from the front counter. We got the chocolate cruffin, almond , and the fruit tart. The cruffin was delicious! The dough so airy! The chocolate inside was kind of like a light mousse, not too sweet but just right! We loved the almond paste in the croissant and the croissant itself. I really enjoyed the fruit tart! Next time I will get a matcha! I didn't this visit because I already had a latte before coming and I'm trying to have only 1 caffeinated drink a day. They only have matcha here. No coffee. This French-Asian bakery is solid! 10/10

We found out about this new place that opened on Southside blvd near to Publix and Copeland's. The have free parking lot parking. The cafe was light , airy and well decorated with a photowall for selfies. They also have a selection of board games to enjoy with company. The menu was interesting and covered the necessary bases for a sweet tooth. I sampled the Nutella cookie which captured the crunch and sweetness that one would desire. The other pastries were fresh, delicious and satisfying. The mango matcha latte was a favorite. Service was quick and friendly . I arrived to late to get the cruffins as the sold out quickly! I will be back to catch it next time!

I went in with a group with friends and our kids. Love the open space and inviting atmosphere. We came in during soft opening, so I do give them some grace during this time. While they're trying to figure out their menu and perfecting the drinks as well as training the baristas. I did receive 20% off as part of their promotion possibly. The Matcha taste super refreshing and not overly sweet. However, the ice was filled to the top, and the amount of Matcha drink was almost only halfway filled. I did suggest it in the suggestion box that they work on that so hopefully that will get fixed soon. The pastry is super fluffy and the pistachio filling is so Delicious and runny. I noticed that everything was made to order and the pastries are freshly baked daily. I highly recommend this place if you haven't been just to give it a try. Parking might be tricky because it does sit at the end unit and it's hard to find from the main road.

Recently visited this cute spot across from Tinseltown. It was later in the afternoon so I, fortunately, got the last cruffin (chocolate) and it was delicious...light and flakey. There was a small selection of croissants (strawberry and mixed berry) left that looked amazing but I wanted to try what they're named for of course. I also ordered the mango sticky rice matcha latte. I'm not a huge fan of matcha but this was yummy and refreshing. The matcha wasn't over powering and the drink wasn't too sweet. I will be going back to try the croissants soon!

Super cute place with great people serving. The owner is super helpful and so nice. Everything is made in house. I got the croissant cinnamon roll that was huge and tasted fantastic. The mango sticky rice matcha was absolutely fantastic. It tasted exactly like mango sticky rice. The strawberry matcha was also good but my favorite is the mango sticky rice. The syrup is made by them with real fruits and they use good quality matcha for the drinks.

We got there at 2 pm, and they were sold out of almost everything. That is how popular they are! I ordered the savory hot dog pastry and Oreo macaroons. The hot dog was the best I've ever had in my life. I will return for this alone! The macaroons were great! Our student Ivy's parents own this place, and we wanted to support them. We will return to hopefully try a cruffin!

I've been seeing videos of this place on Instagram so I decided to stop in. When you first walk in there is a kiosk you can order from or you can go up to the register. The kiosk interface is easy to use and has pictures for most items. I order the hot dog pastry and the mango sticky rice matcha. The hot dog pastry was flaky, buttery, and delicious! It wasn't overly salty and came with ketchup and mustard packets. The drink was alright the matcha tasted more earthy and although the mango sticky rice part was delicious it didn't mesh well with the matcha. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back.

    Raspberry Vanilla Cruffin

This place is just the cutest! On top of the cute and dainty atmosphere of the bakery, the food was great. I asked the cashier for a recommendation since it was my first time, and he recommended their new raspberry Cruffin filled with raspberry filling and vanilla cream. I was extremely pleased with his recommendation, it was soooo good! The Cruffin had a cinnamon sugar coating and was super light, the raspberry added a slight tartness to the sweet delicious vanilla cream creating a party in my mouth. It was so good that I contemplated on grabbing one for the road!! If you have not tried their Cruffins, please do! The banana bread matcha latte was not exactly my cup of tea but I am not a matcha fan anyway, I was thinking maybe this place could give me a change of heart. I came early in the morning within their first hour of opening and had quick service with it not being too crowded. Overall, I really liked this place and will be returning often!!

Griffin & Tea is a such a cute place to have a drink and sweet treat. The ambiance is very trendy and they have a section where you can snap a selfie or two for your socials. The seating is mostly community seating with games available to be played by guests. When you walk in, there is an iPad kiosk for you to place your order. You then wait to be called once your order is done. I ordered a hot lavender matcha and a cinnamon roll. Once they called me I only received my drink and I wasn't sure why. After a minute I went back to check on my cinnamon roll and received an update. One of the best warnings I can give you is the cinnamon roll was made fresh to order so there is a bit of a wait. I didn't realize this when I ordered it but boy was it worth it! It was truly the best cinnamon roll I've had ever. Hot, fresh, and not gummy. Absolutely amazing. They were very busy when we went and given the communal seating, we had to wipe down the seat and table as a heads up. I think they're new so hopefully they get a good rhythm and can wipe the seating down more frequently so customers don't have to. Give this place a try and get that cinnamon roll!

Our visit to Biscottis in Jacksonville's Avondale neighborhood managed to do both. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and seated immediately, and the atmosphere had a welcoming energy that made the restaurant feel like a true neighborhood gathering place. Susan ordered the Quiche Lorraine, and after the first bite we both knew it was something special. The crust was delicate and buttery while the filling was rich and perfectly balanced. It was so impressive that we awarded it our Culinary Duo Best of the Best dish recognition, which is something we reserve for truly standout dishes. Peter went in a different direction and ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes with house made white cheddar hash browns. The pancakes were flavorful and comforting, and the hash browns were crispy with bold cheddar flavor that made them impossible to stop eating. Another thing we appreciated was learning that Biscottis carries the Slow Food First Coast Snail of Approval, recognizing restaurants that support sustainable agriculture and local food traditions. The service throughout the visit was cheerful and attentive, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. If you enjoy restaurants that combine great brunch dishes, incredible desserts, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere, Biscottis is definitely worth visiting.

The burger is greasy/wet, it is drenched in a bland cheese sauce, the meat is underseasoned, and the patty has no sear. Definitely not worth anything near the $21 cost. The salmon BLT is served on bread that is cut so thick you're mostly just eating old/stale bread, and the sandwich is also greasy. Their french fries come drenched in a disgusting garlic oil and cheap grated parmesan. It's bad cooking dressed up to look fancy without any understanding of the basics. The restaurant fits as well. Its ugly artwork is accompanied by furniture that looks like it was ripped out of a Le Pain Quotidien. The cakes look amazing, and the bar is nicely designed and well stocked, but neither saves the drab surrealist-cafeteria vibe of this pretentious establishment.

I'd asked the server if she could reheat our items when I bought them, but she said no, and didn't seem to understand English well. So far, I've preferred the savory things to the sweets here. Each item was $3-3.25, so a better value than the other bakeries I go to.
