My dog enjoying the patio and the friendly people.

Stopped for lunch with our dogs. The burger and fries were soooo good. My husband had the walleye sandwich and fries and he loved his meal too. Service was very fast which was good cuz we were so hungry. And the waitresses were all super friendly and like dogs. The outdoor patio was very chill and the live music was just about to start which I'm sure would have been an awesome vibe but we had to go. Ambiance was definitely fun.

My wife and I stopped in last night as we're staying at the East Harbor State Park and it was too darn hot to cook! Relatively close a mile or so down the road. The adult beverages were delicious! A painkiller just like I would make it at home! My wife also enjoyed one of their signature martinis. We opened with the loaded tots and smoked eggs. Loaded tots were absolutely delicious and the smoked eggs were, unique and tasty but way much as I could not finish them and my wife does not eat hard boiled eggs. It seems we waited a while for our pizza, but it was worth the wait! Lots of locals frequent the area. There was an outdoor cornhole tournament going on with plenty of outdoor seating as well. I do like the fact that they had a TouchTunes jukebox! More than likely will be back again before we leave the area.

The food is top notch. The smoked wings are the best I have had around here. The lobster bisque is better than the islands. Ambiance is cozy and comfy and the service is beyond wonderful. Craft cocktail very yummy. Our server Christina was fantastic

We were staying at East Harbor State park and wanted to try this place. We were impressed with the service, atmosphere, and food/drinks. I got a pain killer and my husband got a huge glass of beer that I called him Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. I definitely recommend.

Blackened Walleye was outstanding (and huge! This is half!)

Really puzzled about the low ratings on this place. Coming in for lunch on the weekend, we expected the worst, but the location was hard to beat so we checked it out anyway. Our server apologized up front for any delays in service as they were running short staffed, but to our surprise, the service for our whole visit was prompt, friendly and helpful. The food was much better than expected. The cheese curds were fresh and fried just right and a delicious appetizer for the Walleye sandwich which was outstanding. Portions were very generous and the prices were a pleasant surprise. Dining with 3 other friends, we were all happy with our visit, the food and the service. Give this spot a try!

Steak was delicious but medium it was not

My experience here seemed similar to other reviewers in that Crows nest was a very mixed experience. The quality of the food and ingredients was very good. In fact, for 22 dollars including tax (but not tip) I'd say my steak, salad, Mac And Cheese and beer were all as good or better than I would expect in terms of food quality. But I would expect my salad to come out before, not literally after the steak. After asking if they had French dressing (they don't) but told they do have balsamic, I'd expect to have received balsamic dressing instead of whatever green herby vinaigrette I got. And I'd expect a sirloin served medium to have a fair amount of pink but not be bright red all the way through. The steak was at best medium rare and I'm not overly particular about doneness so it wasn't a problem for ME but it wouldn't be most people's idea of medium. I sat at the bar on a quiet end of season Sunday evening. The server was not very focused on customers and actively avoided my attempt at giving some feedback at the end of the meal. Since the food was tasty and I didn't want to leave with a bad taste in my mouth (figuratively) from having an unpleasant conversation with a manager, I just left a normal tip and got out of there.

All 6 of us for dinner!

This is the proverbial step back in time ! The diner has been meticulously cared for. The decor is a thoughtful collection of memorabilia from a time when counter diners were all the rage! Our server Emma was sweet and very good!! She checked on us and made sure everything was good. I will have to come back for the country fried steak and gravy for breakfast. We arrived about 1:30 pm, so understandably they weren't serving breakfast. I got the Rosie the riveter bean burger and fries. My husband ordered the tin goose burger. I avoided the milkshake because I had my eye on the coconut pecan pie. However, once I finished the delicious bean burger and perfect fries, I didn't have room for pie. :-(. The good news is, I'm coming back! Opportunity to try other items !!! My husband Loved his burger. He said it was tender and cooked to perfection. Smash burgers eat your heart out!! The buns were perfectly toasted too! Excellent diner! Would give 10 stars if possible ! Thank you for capturing the diner experience both visually and tastefully. "Functioning Artifact" truth! But... last night we decided to have dinner after spending time at the Holiday Market and the dining experience was a huge disappointment. We waited over 10 minutes for a server to greet us and get our drink orders. 40 minutes after ordering, our server stopped by to tell us that our apps would be coming soon. The Walleye bites were good but not seasoned and the entrees were disappointing. I had a harvest salad which would have been lovely but the "dressing" tasted like it was made from extremely strong puréed onion and nothing else. At the end of the meal, we waited another 20 minutes for the check and after almost two hours, we paid $100 for poor service, a bowl of fried fish pieces, a cheeseburger, a bowl of mediocre bisque and a salad that was just awful. Not the experience that we hoped for! We will be back for the Christmas Market next year but I think we'll opt for another dinner option next time. I would rate the wine bar and Christmas Market 5 stars! Unfortunately, the dining experience was dismal and left us with a bad (and very oniony) taste in our mouths!
