We had a large tree fall on our roof after a windstorm and Robert, the owner of Crown Roofing, came over to assess and give a quote. He said he'd follow up in the morning with the quote but never did. I called him after a day and spoke to him on the phone. He made an excuse, and said he would send it over later that day. Never did and no contact after that. Obviously flakey and would not trust him with roof repair. Went with Blue and Blue roofing and they were excellent and gave a great price too. read more

We recently had Rob and Crown Roofing do our roof here in Edmonds him and his team did an awesome job we couldn't be happier. This was a full redeck and gutter repair which was not cheap considering we had him install Certainteed Presidential TL shingles which are a luxury shingle. He offered us a warranty if we used all Certainteed accessories as he is a fully vested installer with master certification from Certainteed so we are covered not only by Crown but by the manufacturer as well . He and his crew completed the job in 4 days just as he said it would be. I shopped around before I went with Crown and what he bid for what we got was the best option in my opinion. Like I said this wasn't a cheap repair but I believe you get what you pay for and this was no exception it is what he did that was exceptional! He and his men receive 5 stars from me and my family! Weatherbond would not continue to certify Crown Roofing if they found their material improperly installed. Please refer to this case on the BBB's website. There were no problems with this installation until the remodel construction was started. No roofing company warrantees a roof that has been altered by others. read more

We purchased a home 1 year ago that had a brand new TPO roof installed by Crown Roofing in June 2015. In April of this year, we started getting carpenter ants in our master bathroom, that were coming from the skylight area. After seeking pest control, we discovered the skylight was actively leaking, several improperly flashed vents were leaking, as well as the roof was leaking. I contacted Rob, the owner of Crown Roofing and spoke to him on the phone one time. He promised he would call me on Monday of the following week to set up time and come out and address two skylights, however he never followed up and did not return any of my subsequent phone calls or texts. Our contractor also repeatedly tried to speak to him without success, as well as the previous house owners. We have since involved our insurance company and have had several reputable roofing companies assess the roof--each one remarking on how the roof was improperly installed, pointing out numerous installation issues. WeatherBond that makes the material also came out to assess our roof and said the installation was not done per their manual. We had to open up a section of our roof to repair what was actively leaking and now have to replace the roof entirely due to poor workmanship and significant ventilation issues which should have been addressed at the time of this roof installation. As you can imagine, this has been incredibly frustrating and also financially draining. The home we purchased (and paid for) was sold with a new, lifetime roof; however less than 3 years after it was installed we have encountered unimaginable issues and incurred substantial unplanned costs. We submitted a complaint with the BBB and his response to us was: "The roof was done for Doug. He was very happy with the job. Unfortunately the warranty is not transferable. --Rob Pereira, Crown Roofing Inc" Let his lack of response and the fact that 3 years later, his work needs to be redone, speak for itself. DO NOT WORK with Crown Roofing. They are not a certified roofing company, perform subpar work and are unaccountable and unresponsive. read more

Crown Roofing did a Presidential TL roof for me in the Summer and it turned out great; I couldn't be happier. They were meticulous, detailed orientated, efficient, and thorough. They pointed out entry points for insects that I had with my siding that they noticed while upgrading my roof and even removed multiple wasp nests that I had in my attic while the roof was torn off. I chose Crown Roofing to replace a 26 year old shake roof on our house and separate garage on Camano Island. Rob, the owner, traveled here twice to do a bid and then to bring me larger samples of roof material I requested. I decided to accept the bid based on the fact they could also install a solar-tube skylight in my studio as well as update out of code venting in our attic from a radiant floor boiler on the main floor. This made it easier than hiring and scheduling individual contractors to do these jobs. I also appreciated that he revised his schedule to get our roof replaced in the time frame I requested. The crew of 4 were excellent, showed up on time every morning and worked swiftly, each seeming to know their jobs well. They had to remove 7 skylights on a 10/12 pitched roof in order to replace old flashing as well as all new roof vents. Rob, the owner was here 4 out of 5 days overseeing and actually doing work on the venting and solar-tube. They even added three sets of rope rings secured to the roof ridge for anyone who needs to access the roof in the future. The guy that cleans my skylights will appreciate that. They cleaned up every evening before leaving and hauled away all the debris each day. There was no loud irritating music while they worked and I never heard any foul language the entire week they were here. They were very courteous and very willing to correct anything I requested.
