First off, I have never walked in the door without being greeted with a huge smile and hearty hello by one of the staff members. I always feel so welcome and when I have my dogs with me they are usually doted over and made to feel like the most special dog that walked into the store that day. Additionally, I have had multiple, LONG, conversations with many different staff members regarding a number of different, meaningful topics - food, behavior, toys, etc. The knowledge the staff have, and the fact that they go above and beyond just to help their customers out is a big testament to why I feel so committed to spending my doggie dollars at Mud Bay. They really know A LOT and really care A LOT about making sure you're making the best choice for your animals. They might be a little expensive, but I would much rather walk into a nicely lit, well decorated, invested-employee establishment and feel like my dogs are truly cared for than a large corporation that barely talk to you, and don't know nearly as much. I'll continue to shop at Mud Bay for all my pups needs.

It's important to me for my dog to have a good experience while having a bath. I met the groomer Ayden and she is very knowledgeable about grooming dogs and dog behavior. I look forward to having her bathe him and will post on that service soon! One thing I would like to address another yelper said to go to Doggo self wash. Do not go there! The floors were filthy and it was coin operated. The water would run for 5 minutes even if you didn't need it on and you would be charged. Same with the soap. Not worth it! I hope they remove that review comparing apples to oranges! Pros: Clean facilities Friendly staff Adequate shampoo Good water pressure Strong blow dryer Unlimited towels Tether for dog Lockers Dog supplies for sale Offers membership Cons No brushes offered No conditioner, no tear face wash End tub does not allow one to bathe other side of dog(see photo). Price is a bit high on self wash and nail trim

Five Stars for Per Evolution!…read more I can't say enough good things about Per Evolution and the care they gave my Samoyed, Morgana--affectionately known as Madame. She was desperately in need of grooming, and I was a little nervous since I usually give her a vet-approved sedative beforehand due to her anxiety. This time, I forgot. But the groomers at Per Evolution handled her with incredible patience and care. They took the time to calm her gently, and to my amazement, Madame Sammy allowed them to bathe and groom her without the sedative. That speaks volumes about their compassion, skill, and understanding of anxious pets. She came back looking gorgeous--clean, fluffy, and happy. I am beyond grateful and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend for anyone with a sensitive or high-maintenance pup. Thank you for treating my girl with such love and respect!

We haven't had an issue with the fish we bought dieing, but despite being a few months into this hobby we quarantine and acclimate all the fishes we buy no matter where they come from to lower the risk. After seeing a few discus photos for those worried the black spots are from freckling which does happen in fishes. They have great deals on fish and the owners do care about what they do, knowledgeable, and are willing to develop a relationship with their customers. For example we've been there multiple times so the female owner recognizes us and was even willing to give us a slight deal on a large piece of mopani wood. For a 12 pound piece of wood even without the deal it would of cost a lot anywhere else. The fish (we bought a lot of tiger barbs) are also fairly priced. My boyfriend and I have a sweet spot for them. They aren't rude if anything they are just loud (we are too I think it's common though - it's like being with my parents lol). The smell people talk about seems like it could be from the dogs having accidents, but it's not unbearable.

The owner of the store sold my wife some water agents and purposely wrote instructions with a black sharpie on the bottles and charged her for two filters instead of one. When we realized we didn't need most of the supplies we tried to return them and she refused because the bottles had been written on......by the OWNER! The owner also claimed that how could she believe that she charged us for two filters when we only brought back one? I guess that is on us for not itemizing the receipt in-store, but still absolutely horrible service! This owner will scam you, sell you what you don't need, and then refuse to return anything. And finally, the health department needs to give them a visit based on the smell and condition of the animals. I hardly ever give reviews and have owned my own business in the past, so I know how hard it is to maintain a solid business reputation. But the public should not support this place and it seems that based on other reviews a lot of folks agree with me. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS

And what was especially nice when I visited this location, my best friend/fur baby was with me! My dog was absolutely spoiled here, which is why I love this place. Anywhere that caters to dogs makes me an instant fan, but The Seattle Barkery has high-quality, healthy treats for the fur babies, in addition to some swag and accessories that they sell in the store. Plus, they also customize cakes, which you can order and pick up from here. My dog was given lots of treats by the super friendly staff here. The staff even let us try the treats before making a purchase after she learned that my dog can be picky about some treats, which was super nice and allowed me to not waste my money on something she wouldn't eat. I was able to take home a lot of treats for her, including new treats my dog has never had before but ended up loving! So glad I found The Seattle Barkery in Shoreline, which is the perfect place for your perfect pet.

First, the good...no, the great:…read more I took our new rescue schnauzer here for an evaluation, where it was determined that Georgie needs private lessons as he is extremely reactive. Annabelle, our evaluator, also taught Georgie and me a few things to work on, and even after the evaluation, I learned a ton and Georgie was already on his way to becoming a changed man! So we signed up for 4 private lessons. Last week we had our first private lesson, and again, both Georgie and I learned a ton! Annabelle really is a great trainer. I'm well aware of Aurora's reputation, but since it's a very long street, I didn't think too much of the location. After the session last week, a man came out of nowhere and asked for money. I politely declined and he started thanking me and then went into some weird swearing tirade. Okay, fine. We got in the car and I instinctively locked the doors right away. Good thing, because he somehow circled my car without my noticing, and then he quickly walked over to a nearby car and started peering in the windows before going over to IHOP. I went home and asked my husband, who has been up here working in various locations due to his job with public transportation, about the specific area and what he thinks. He said that even he wouldn't feel comfortable in that area, near that IHOP, etc and said he didn't realize it was on THAT section of Aurora or he wouldn't have allowed us to go there in the first place. Between that and our need to move out of Seattle within the next few weeks for his job, I ended up cancelling the remaining sessions. Shame, because I really like how Zoom Room is operated and felt we were learning a lot! I'm concerned about Annabelle and the other young lady working in there by themselves after dark, even though it's dark fairly early, still, at this time of year.

I took a break from Zoom Room for a year but recently started coming back again. I attend their…read moregroup obedience and agility classes on a regular basis with my reactive dog, but I've been able to manage it very well in this class because everyone is so attentive to their dog. I never thought I'd see so much progress with my dog's reactivity until I started attending obedience here and using the skills I learned on our walks everyday. After several months of consistently going here, I can honestly and confidently say that my dog thrives in this environment. Melissa is an amazing obedience trainer and she helps us troubleshoot our training hurdles in such a creative way. She is very talented at what she does and really helped me reconsider alternative ways to get my dog to stop jumping on people for greetings (but still within the realm of positive reinforcement and force free training). As for agility, Agility 1 might be a bit slow moving because all the dogs are getting used to the equipment but once you advance to the higher levels, it does become a more efficient use of time and all the dogs seem to have a blast. I believe that Obedience 1 is a prerequisite for the agility classes but keep in mind that the agility classmates are all at different levels of obedience so you might have to do a bit more management than usual while you're in the waiting area. Some owners are not super considerate about breaking their dogs' fixation but with that being said, there is plenty of space to spread out from one another so I think generally it should not be an issue unless your dog is extremely reactive.
