I walked in not that long ago with my husband to order the shrimp basket combo and the mashed potatoes. They charged my card $3 for the mashed potatoes and $11 for the shrimp basket combo =$14 just for me to go home and open the food and there was no fries or drink at all in the bag. So my husband goes back to the place and shows them the issue and they refused to give the rest of our food order and didn't acknowledge the charge! Then proceed to say that they're closed when they close at 12am. Very unprofessional and do not recommend, will be back tomorrow to receive the money that was wrongfully charged! read more

Solid fried chicken and sides. Everything arrived hot and fresh, and in less time than expected. The chicken is crispy and well seasoned. We tried the biscuits, which smelled and tasted heavenly. The corn was fresh. The mashed potatoes and gravy were fine. Standard potatoes, swimming in gravy. Mac and cheese was good. Very similar to Stouffer's Mac and cheese. The best side was the coleslaw. The delivery man was over an hour late, asked me to come down 3 times, when he was at incorrect addresses, and was really rude when he made it to my place. I kindly asked him to come up this time (1floor up) because I was in the middle of cooking something and didn't want to risk burning my home and he then threatened me to cancel the delivery if I don't. He just left and hung the phone on me. I called the restaurant per say to tell them to manage their delivery person and they just brushed the situation as if nothing happened. This is close to fried chicken perfection. Ask Jay-Z he used to be a regular, this is in his old neighborhood. Classic crown fried chicken joint in the heart of BK. Easily the best spot in Marcy. I've read a couple of reviews.. some person mentioned a couple of racist workers?¿ I've grown to know the owner and the workers there very well, this has been an established business since the 90s. Literally, the flavor is exquisite and the skin is perfectly crispy. On a few occasions, the chicken had been sitting out for too long and was dry. I had also gonna a few hard overcooked pieces that were not great. One day when I was here I witnessed an encounter between a young black boy and an employee that really did not sit well with me... This is the most puzzling thing and upsetting experience when it comes to ordering delivery. My order took over one hours to be delivered to my home when it was said 15-30 minutes. This place is a staple for late night gathrings and parties as well. It's not rare that a few friends disappear and then reappear with red cardboard boxes of fried chicken. The chicken is what they do best. I usually purchase the nine piece special for five or six bucks and make my own potato side. The chicken is the kind that's fried, frozen, then refried. You can tell by how gray the meat is, and the poor texture of the breading. The regular chicken and wings will be hot and crispy, but it will taste old, slimy, and VERY salty. The "crispy buffalo wings" are very soggy despite a super fast delivery. I think they were cooked and sauced at least an hour before I ordered them. The burger was the best part of my meal, but you can get better and cheaper at McDonalds. I have been a loyal customer of this place for years. I always make sure to make a quick stop anytime I visit NY. Unfortunately, I moved to NEw Jersey a few years ago, so I don't get to visit as much as I would like. The pizza roll, and gyros are amazing!! Although, the chicken is also really juicy. Did I mention their sweet potatoe pies? Who doesn't love a good old sweet potatoe pie? Not only do I visit for the food, but the employees are all very sweet as well. I've got something real to say about this place. First off, the fried chicken is hands down my favorite over in this neck of the woods. If you want something with a little more of a variety, go for the shawarma plate, the meat used is finger-licking good. If you're itching for some dessert afterwards, try out the sweet potato pie. Aside from the decent food, consider the fact that you're eating at a place where Jay-Z himself worked at.
