It is just a guess that I am making about service being so different than Salesforce. It is strictly my opinion, that sales people are constantly moving dealership to dealership and taking with them what they perceive to be loyal customers. The same thing for me holds true with Finance. I am owning my second Jeep Wrangler. My first one was totaled, not my fault, and that dealership could not get me what I wanted and needed so quickly. After selling my Audi and Range Rover I was on the hunt for the next best thing. I saw the Volvo XC40 about a year ago in one of my car magazines and it caught my eye, so I knew I had to put it on my short list. After spending a day test driving the Mercedes GLC, Infinity QX50, Jaguar E-Pace and finally the Volvo XC40, I knew the Volvo was my pick! The only issue I was running into was the Volvo dealerships in my area did not have great stock of the XC40. I specifically wanted the XC40 R-Design in Crystal White Metallic paint. But not only did I want this paint combination, I wanted all the packaged options including the 21 inch rims. This was a true needle in the haystack situation. After exhausting all searches, I found almost the exact match at MAG Volvo. In their stock they had just the XC40 I was searching for except, it had the 20 in rim option, instead of the 21 in rim option. MAG Volvo was not in my area, as they were 1 hour and 45 minutes from my home, but I am no stranger to traveling near and far for the vehicle I want. That following Saturday I decided to make the drive to MAG. Upon my arrival I started searching for the XC40 that had brought me here. I found it immediately and made my way to the XC40 quickly. Once I spent a few minutes looking it over I made my way to the Volvo showroom. After looking for a short time at the Volvos' beautifully displayed in the showroom I was greeted by Steven Fodor, Volvo Sales Associate. When he asked how he could help me I asked for Carlos Dague, Volvo Sales Manager. Carlos Dague is the gentleman I was originally put in contact with when I made a phone call to MAG Volvo. Carlos remembered me from our phone conversation and immediately started to go to work on all the details we had discussed over the phone. While Carlos was crunching numbers, Steven invited me out for a test drive. Steven gave a great demonstration of the mounds of tech that lies within Volvo vehicles. He also answered my mounds of questions that I had for him. Questions from important details about the vehicle to "Hey, will the infotainment show me album art on the screens?". Steven was able to connect all the dots for me. During most of my past test drives, the sales associate would always take me on short routes that did not include freeway travel. Steven made sure that we went through all driving situations--city driving, side road driving, freeway driving. I was able to get a good grasp of how the XC40 performed in all varieties of driving situations. It was nice that I did not have to request all these different routes, they were all suggested by Steven. Once we returned back to the dealership post test drive, Steven continued to demo other features that matter in day-to-day life. He demonstrated and explained the cargo management system, how the power lift gate operated etc. It made for a very enjoyable and fun experience. When we returned back to the sales office Carlos had a fantastic deal that I was very pleased with! He also gathered information regarding the 21 in rim upgrade, by gathering the part numbers and pricing. Having this information allowed me to get in-touch with the Volvo dealership in my area to have the 20 in rims swapped out for the 21 in rims. In closing, if you're considering a new or pre-owned luxury car that is a Volvo please give MAG Volvo an opportunity to earn your business. Even if you do not live near the dealership I still urge you to give them a try. It was well worth my 1 hour and 45 min drive up and back to receive exceptional service that Steven and Carlos provided me. When purchasing a luxury car you expect a level of expertise and service that is above the rest, and MAG Volvo provides you with just that!

A turn signal issue was discovered during the test drive . After discussing a few options on how to fix it, Germain said they would fix it. This ended up being a bigger issue than I'm sure everyone anticipated, it ended up requiring me several additional trips into the dealership and involved rental cars on multiple occasions for the extended time the truck stayed in not only Germains service but also an additional Ram dealership. Finally after weeks of trial and error and several more weeks of waiting for parts, the issue was correctly repaired. I endured no additional cost for this just as agreed upon at the time of sale. I called them, explained the situation, and was seen right when I got there. The folks understood the urgency of needing to get back on the road so I wouldn't miss the funeral. They had my water pump completely replaced and car ready to go in about 3-1/2 hours, with no notice. Added bonus that it was under warranty still. The manager was great about keeping me updated and the lounge with TV/drinks kept me occupied.

Among those specifications were all season tires. I understand the importance of this detail when buying a car in the winter in central Ohio. I took delivery of the car December 30th, 2024. Soon thereafter I was astonished to find the car was delivered with summer tires. These are utterly useless, and dangerous in winter in central Ohio and I've left the car parked since. I contacted the dealer on January 6th (Steve Johnson, Sales Manager and Chris Zane, Sales Consultant) proposing a no cost swap of these summer tires (with only 94 miles on them) for the BMW starred specified all seasons I had spec'd out, but they have not agreed. Rather, they have been slow to respond and indifferent to a situation where I have no use of the vehicle. They show no sense of urgency or commitment to resolving this satisfactorily.
