Hi I'm Lawrence.I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape in August 5,2025.Everything was great for 3 months…read morethen I started having coolant radiator problems.First I had to change a leaking host connected to the reservoir over tank.Cause it would run hot.I thought it fixed the problem, but it did not. About a month later I started noticing that the reservoir tank was starting to stay low. Can't tell where the antifreeze. In the engine or what part of the engine every time I drive it it'll start running hot. I'll have to put tons of antifreeze in it now it's just and I can't drive it and if I do drive it I only can drive it for a short period of time. I was on the highway. It broke down. I had to get it towed 43 miles and I had to pay $186 to get it home. I've only had this car nine months and I keep having this problem. I can't enjoy my vehicle at all. Low cost cars north not taking nothing away from them too much. They did help me get in a vehicle because my credit was bad so I appreciate that. but they sold me a with issues and problems that I should not be having. I really technically shouldn't be having any issues for at least another 3 to 4 years. Maybe I'm still paying on this car and of course through the paperwork they have a as is which means you're taking it as you're getting it and if it breaks, then it's on you so they make sure they get you to sign that right away. But I didn't think I would be having these problems in such short months. I haven't even had the car one year yet and I'm going through all these problems and when I first got the car, of course low cars asked me to fill out a good review on yelp. I had no problem doing it. I figured I was doing the right thing because they helped me get a car but you got me a car is having tons of problems now I got a scramble and I am on a fixed income and I have to find or borrow the money to try to get my car fixed and I know if I go back low cost north they're not gonna help me. They're not gonna take any gonna deal with the issues at so I'm gonna leave this true factual review about them. Beware of this dealership if you buy a car from there make sure you go get it checked out. So you don't have any issues, but that's what when you put your trust in people who you think may be honest, but really they're only trying to get a sale and the first Ford escape I chose had a problem and I asked well can y'all fix I really that color of and they told me no you just pick something else I should've known that was a red flag right there. I traded in a vehicle for it to intentionally not be paid off, until low cost cars had a chance to sell it. Check engine light was also turned off by low cost cars in order to deceive the condition of the vehicle.

Professionalism is a trait that this business lacks. I've read other complaints and their rebuttal seems to be "customer had the opportunity to have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic", I hope nobody believes that they will accept that being done. We had test drove a vehicle and were pretty set on making the purchase until the crude, obnoxious, disrespectful and extremely unprofessional behavior began when our mechanic arrived. Strange because the individual that we were working with stated "we have customers take a vehicle to their mechanic and come back with a report", so having a vehicle inspected must only be okay if they don't have to hear the remarks made. Talking down to another human being is NEVER acceptable, especially in what should be a professional environment. A thriving company should be built around good and honest business practices, strong values and have an unwavering core to help. This individual instantly became aggressive and agitated when our mechanic informed of us a bad brake line repair. Seeing how upset this individual became caused us to worry that he wasn't being truthful or performing SAE standard repairs. He disagreed with our mechanic that using this type of repair was fine, little did he know our mechanic has been with us for years and has nearly 40 years of trained experience. After some research we have been able to confirm that the brake line repair is unsafe and not approved by SAE. According to Ohio law states 4513.202 (D) As used in this section, "minimum standard of specifications" means a minimum standard for brake system or brake component performance that meets the need for motor vehicle safety and complies with the applicable SAE standards and recommended practices, and the federal motor vehicle safety standards that cover the same aspect of performance for any brake lining, brake lining material, or brake lining assemblies. SAE standards do NOT allow a compression fitting to be used on this type of brake system. How a company could be so eager to turn a profit that they would put someone's family in jeopardy is beyond me. I am reporting them to every outlet in hopes someone will correct this problem. Thinking one is going to a professional business and ends up witnessing utter disrespect and less than respectable business antics is a shame. Any business that is willing to risk the safety of my children or anyone's children with unethical repair practices is not worthy of our respect. To top it off, the individual we were dealing with had the nerve to say "I don't appreciate someone coming on my lot trying to knock my hustle", selling a safe and reliable vehicle should not be a HUSTLE. In the end my valid concerns will not matter because they will continue with their unsafe ways of running a business, but I hope I can help at least one person from being taken advantage of worse. We've also contacted the Attorney General in hopes this can be rectified. Our experience was the shear epitome of a subpar used car lot.

Morgan, if you actually paid attention to the notes you supposedly put onto my account the previous time you did this, none of this would be happening. The first time she did it, I understand but politely asked her to please stop; it happened a second time and wanted to blame it on "system errors" and that she would be sure to put notes into the system not to contact me anymore. Well, guess what everyone, I checked my pay off last night at 7:03pm EST last night, and within 2-4 minutes later, the text messages, emails, and phone calls started YET again for the 3rd time. I've been more than polite asking not to be bothered and you still can't seem to comprehend so here's this public message, STOP CALLING ME Morgan (I truly hope this public request of mine will finally break through your incompetence). Each time this continues on your behalf, you're merely leaving footprints and a paper trail to better this case. Riddle me this, why would I want to continue to do business with a company when their BDC department can't respect a person's (previous customer's) simple request? This speaks volume and goes to show you truly don't care about your customers. I've now asked twice prior to this most recent encounter, and yet you still bother me! When a person checks their payoff and you immediately contact them, is that not borderline stalking? When a customer asks twice not to be bothered anymore and they go to check their payoff and you contact me again for the 3rd time; does that not constitute as harassment? I've asked not to be bothered/contacted numerous times, but yet, here we are. YOU are the reason why I will not be coming back. Kudos to you Morgan.

Complaint about Deceptive Sales Practices at Lindsay Buick GMC…read more Today, I found myself in an AWFUL situation that strongly resembles fraud and deceptive business practices. On March 28, 2025, I called Lindsay Buick GMC to discuss purchasing a Buick Envista (VIN: KL47LBEP5SB103388). They confirmed the price and sent me an offer. I informed them that my wife was busy today, but I could come in and leave a deposit, and we would return together tomorrow. Michelle told me that they don't accept deposits, and we agreed that I would come in to purchase the car at 11:00 AM that same day. On March 29, 2025, at 8:11 AM, I received a text message from the dealer confirming the appointment, and I replied that I would be there to pick up the car, possibly even earlier. I arrived at 9:30 AM, filled out the test-drive form for the vehicle with VIN KL47LBEP5SB103388, and Michelle took me to the car. After the test drive, we started processing the paperwork. However, when Michelle presented the documents for signing, I noticed that the price had been changed from $24,785 to $26,625. I asked to see the car again, and I discovered that the vehicle had been swapped for another one (VIN KL47LBEPOSB131020) without any notification. When I asked what was going on, Michelle went silent and then said that my car had been sold earlier that morning. I immediately doubted this, as I had received a confirmation text from them at 8:11 AM, and I arrived at 9:30 AM. Later, the sales manager admitted that they had sold the car the day before. From that moment, the situation took on the form of outright fraud. They lied to me and intentionally misled me to get me and my family to come in. They provided paperwork for a test drive on a car that had already been sold and falsely claimed it was still available. When I asked how they could have sold my car, the sales manager replied, "It's our car, and it's your fault you didn't leave a deposit." This contradicted Michelle's statement the day before, where she assured me that a deposit was not necessary despite my repeated offers to provide one. I asked them to honor the original price for the car, but they refused, stating that money was more important to them than their reputation. Selling the car to another customer the day before, then contacting me to deceive me into coming in, presenting paperwork for a car that had already been sold, and trying to get me to sign new documents with an increased price -- this is fraud under federal and Ohio state laws. This is a tactic aimed at exploiting trusting customers who believe car dealerships, but know this: DECEPTION OCCURS AT EVERY STEP in this dealership. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the Ohio Attorney General's office, and the Governor of Ohio, providing all evidence for an investigation. I will take screenshots of my review, and if you try to remove it, I will repost it along with those screenshots. I urge senior management to investigate this horrifying situation and take appropriate action. Legal Aspects: * Fraud: Under Section 18 U.S.C. § 1341 (Federal Mail Fraud Statute), fraud is a federal offense when fraudulent schemes use postal or telecommunications services. Additionally, the Ohio Penal Code (Ohio, Section 2913.01) criminalizes theft, fraud, and other deceptive practices. * Deceptive Practices: Under Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act (Ohio, Section 1345.02), businesses are prohibited from engaging in deceptive or unfair practices when conducting transactions with consumers. The dealership's actions may violate these provisions if they deliberately misled me about the availability or price of the car. * Breach of Contract: If a contract was made with specific terms, such as an agreed-upon price for the car, and the dealership altered those terms without proper notification or consent, it may be a breach of contract under Ohio state laws.
