Don't get it twisted. This is NOT a positive review. Rather than penalize the owners with shitty one-star rating for things they may not know are occurring, I'll give the food, the show (Varla) the 5 star they deserve, while sharing our bad experiences with certain of their service staff. The daytime host apologized for his obnoxious and unprofessional comments, so we'll skip to the outside bar: 1) Daytime bartender Scott was 100% on point 2) For dinner Mikey was super sweet and great service.. 3)Conversely the angry-at-his-own-life tall guy with the with the clown colored Mohawk-ish cut was RUDE AND JUST AWFUL. "Hey dude! You're in a service industry...get on board or quit!" 4) The server with the insane body and dark complexion...Snippy rude comments don't make you cute.. and they definitely don't earn you more tips. The formula to better tips is pretty easy...Service, smile, service, smile, service smile. That's it! I'm writing this so the owners know how their business is being handled.

    Mushy fish batter.

Fish and chips - meh. The batter was mushy. Chop salad was very good. Lobster roll - flavorless. Not very sophisticated. Mayo and celery. Brioche bread was toasted but still soft with a burnt flavor. Watermelon Fresca - was it supposed to have alcohol? Friendly staff.

    Deviled Eggs with Fried Oysters

This review is from Oct 14, 2018. We were in need of a nice bowl of clam chowder after our visits to the local lighthouses. Unfortunately most of the diners/restaurants/shops shut down around this time. Finally we found a parking spot and just started walking right. We came across this place. I didn't smell anything nor did I see a lot of people coming in and out, but we thought that might be because everything's shut down. We helped us decide on this place is Arman (probably got his name wrong as it has been a while), the outside greeter. He was very welcoming. Obviously we were extremely hungry and focused on our mission to have a bowl of chowder because neither of us noticed that it was a hotel/inn. We ordered a bowl of chowder, deviled eggs with crispy oysters on top, lobster roll and Oyster Po Boy. Amazing deviled eggs. Without a doubt, the fried oysters took this appetizer over the top. Our dining neighbors saw that we ordered this and they added an order. Since they only got one each, they ordered a second order of these. Cheri enjoyed her sandwich. The bun was soft and delicious. The chowder wasn't that great. My lobster roll was ok. Why is this a four star? The greeting and small talk with Arman, quick service and delicious appetizer. Here's What I Think...If you want to have a fun time, quick service and a delicious appetizer, please come check this place out.

What is the space like in the paramount theater? Do we need to get there early to get good seats?

Get there early , go eat and they will reserve you a seat. I got there at 630 for a 8pm show and I got front row seats reserved for the general admission section. It's a small space and fills up fast.

Can you get a cocktail in the cabaret room?

    Yes!

You have to walk up a slight hill on Carver Street to get here, and it was no surprise that it was relatively packed with all the terrace seats taken. And yet, the ambiance was quite chill. Everyone was looking relaxed and definitely not on the make. Customers skewed a tad older here, which made us feel right at home. We were particularly impressed that the veteran bartender had a mixing container dedicated to their espresso martinis, so of course, we ordered a pair for $16 each (photo: https://yelp.to/VmjWNmEyk0).
