Seasonal drinks

I hadn't been here since the new owners took over and all I can say is: wow, they absolutely killed it! The atmosphere was cozy, the service warm and welcoming, and the drinks were top notch. Got a neat pour of their whiskey which was a nice, sweet, sipper. High corn in the mash bill. I also picked up their seasonal N/A mocktail, the "Higher Love" that was amazing. Really well balanced with rich turmeric, punchy ginger, warming five spice, and fresh herbs. My highlight, though, was definitely the "Devil's Egg". It's essentially a fantastically well constructed jello shooter, but I recommend taking it in 2/3 bites so you can experience it more. Another masterclass in flavors and texture. You just have to get one to experience it for yourself; trust me. I definitely plan on grabbing some food on the way and making a bee-line back for one, or two, more Devil's Eggs.

We went to Crow Bar for a spontaneous post-dinner cocktail and we loved the entire experience! Unique eclectic interior design and furniture. I love how it preserved some of the old Hamm's aesthetic and history. The staff were super nice and helpful. Cocktails were tasty and strong in the best way. They also have a nice mocktail menu! There are plenty of lounge areas whether you're there for an intimate date night or group event. I am looking forward to their patio this summer :) We ordered 4 different cocktails; favorites were Heads Will Roll and Prix Fixe. Highly recommend CrowBar - make sure to add it to your list!

Saw a few early social media posts about this spot, and happen to FREQUENT the brewery next door, so we stopped in...and we found our FAVORITE place to drink in the Cities. Parking is a bit of a hot topic, but as of now, there is a lot near this spot where you can park. Once you enter the space, you are transported to an edgy, retro, thrift store of controlled chaos. It's easily one of the most fun spaces I've been to in a while! We took seats in what I'm calling the Crow's Nest, a slightly elevated set of tables. There are plenty of seating vibes to match your group's intentions, from comfy couches to hardtop tables. You absolutely can't miss the Confessional Room during your visit. The staff was tremendous! It was so fun to chat with them about how the space came to be, the fun features on the menu, and what we liked best! One of the owners even stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. Now for the best part...the drinks! We sampled five different drinks during our visit and each was more unique and tasty than the last. I also appreciate that they put as much effort into their NA options as their cocktails. The winner for most unique goes to the Heart Beet with Rye Whiskey. You could NEVER get me to order a Beet cocktail without some heavy coaxing and after some strong recommendations from staff, I can say that I was so wrong...it was absolutely delish! I can't wait to run back to this spot and try another five. A must-stop visit for cocktail or mocktail enthusiasts in the Cities.

This bar is cool, very unique and burlesque feels. We parked in the industrial parking area and walked through the alley, around the corner you'll see the bar. Lawn full of chairs and tables, reminds me of someone's yard. Once inside, there was a closed curtain, we weren't sure to enter or someone will come and get us. We walked in anyway, and the bar was so colorful and chill. We found a couch in the corner, server came out to greet us and brought us water. We ordered couple of cocktails and appetizers. My drink was fun, it was the drink of the month. The devil eggs were actually a dessert, I couldn't eat them. Love devil eggs savory.

I was ready to give this place 5 stars before I even got a drink because the aesthetic was so cool. Eclectic, modern but also historic, and if you're paying attention, a sense of humor. Thankfully, the drinks were phenomenal so I could give this place the 5 it deserves. The drinks here are so unique, and SO good. The fun thing about CrowBar is they're not afraid to experiment with flavors and the result is a cocktail menu you're not going to find anywhere else. Think savory, spicy, sweet, earthy... but with a twist. I highly recommend the Scarlet Witch. It's unlike anything you've ever had. Also, the deviled eggs are cocktails. I swear, it's on the drink menu. It's like a Jell-O shot, but way cooler. Definitely get one or two. It's not often I find a place where I want to try every drink on the menu, but I want to try every drink on the menu. I can't wait to come back! Also - please please please keep the 21+ policy. I work with kids all day and it's nice to have a place where I can just be around other adults. There are plenty of kid and family friendly places, it's rare to find an adults only spot. Thanks for the little haven!

Checked out this new cocktail bar in Saint Paul! They use Voliere spirits. It is located right by St. Paul brewery parking lot. They did a great job with interior design where you can sit on high top tables, low tops tables, comfy couches or at the bar. The decor is super eclectic with fun lights, sculptures, and old school, beer cans hidden around the space. They do not take any reservations and you seat yourself. A server comes to get your order. Being so new, everything went very smoothly for us. They play great music and it was a very relaxing night. We ordered the prix fixe and bird bath. The birdbath comes with a fun fire trick when they serve it. Both were very yummy drinks! Definitely a must try!

Yes please!!

My wife and I were here for a WWW event Got there a little early had some of the best gin drink drinks I have had in recent memory We happen to meet the owner and the mixologist both very attentive, informative, and made us genuinely feel welcome By the time we left, the place was packed Had a couple different drinks, all of them Top notch A little on the pending side, but well worth it These women are kicking ass and taking no prisoners!! We will be back J&J

They did a great job reviving a portion of the old Hamms brewery into a fun relaxing cocktail bar. The space has really nice exposed bricks, a smaller bar and tons of unique seating. The drinks were really good. Ended up getting the bird bath, which was a riff on a Mai Tai with a fun presentation. Look forward to coming back in the summer to also experience the large (dog friendly) patio!

NEW DISTILLERY/COCKTAIL BAR ALERT @crowbar_hammstown is less than a month old and I had a stellar experience there with @lookuplove Co-owners Liza Sterletzke and Regina Clapp purchased the former 11 Wells Distillery right next to @stpaulbrewing and transformed it into a beautiful space that will be sure to create memories for anyone who steps inside! By purchasing 11 Wells, they acquired their whiskey barrels and make their own spirits (vodka, gin, rum) under the new label of @volierespirits Distilling is led by Seth Reid! The cocktail bar has so many different unique decor items, I had a blast just wandering around. Be sure to check out the "confessional" room! They put an emphasis on having quality N/A cocktails available and I was quite impressed with the selection! (Hint: you can get a recommended spirit to put in one of the NA options if you'd like). Drinks: -Heads Will Roll: Blackberry-Infused Voliere Gin, Voliere Gin, Voliere Sky Blue liqueur, blackberry, lime, charred rosemary -N/A Hello, Basil: Clementine, lime, lemon grass, thai basil, champagne vinegar, soda (I asked for a spirit recommendation and bartender Riley suggested Gin. Thanks Riley!) - (Bird Bath) Yes, it's served in an egg glass and lights on fire :) Voliere dark rum, allspice, mango, tamarind, toasted oat or heat, lime, - Devil's Egg (shot) Voliere white rum, mango, sweet coconut cream, passion fruit creme, patisserie, persian lime. A shout out to bartender Shannon as well! What a wonderful time here! I can't wait to head back in! Crow Bar plans on getting a food menu, but people can order food from St Paul Brewing just across the parking lot. They are open Wednesday through Saturday! Cheers friends @visitsaintpaul #crowbar #cocktail #voliere #stpaul

While the curtain in the front did confuse me for a hot second, the vibes inside are fantastic. Sometimes with newer establishments, the decor hasn't found its pace yet. They have taken the history of the location and put their own twist on it. Weird, quirky, but chill. I had the Devil's Egg, Luxor Nexor (as recommended by my server), Goodfella, and the Heart Beat (N/A). My favorite drink was the Goodfella. However, everything was fantastic. The Devil's Egg is absolutely worth the try for the novelty. I Lilly won't get it again. There is no food, but you have the option of ordering from St. Paul Brewing and it will be delivered to you. Overall, fantastic experience and I will be happy to go again (the patio looks like it would be great in the warmer months).

I have been here two times in the last week and lemme tell ya.. this is quite the spot. I do suggest making a reservation because everytime I go here it is popping! What a vibey place, the lights aren't too bright, it gives a hip, fun, light energy and is not too pretentious but has INCREDIBLE FOOD AND DRINKS. Right now, one of their specials is whitefish toast.. if you enjoy fish at all, you need this. The fish is light and fresh, they put fresh dill on top and it is placed on top of some toasted sourdough bread perfectly. The fish is flavorful, a lil earthy and I feel as if there are capers or olives in in the fish mixture, whatever it is is fire! The burrata, beets, and citrus is a nice lovely, fresh, light app, the burrata is perfection with the beets and fresh, juicy citrus, drizzled with some oil and random pieces of garlic mixed in, YUM. I suggest ordering bread on the side with this one! The wings here are a staple and always delish. Crispy, hot, and coated perfectly in a light sweet chili sauce.. they hit the spot everytime. The housemade ranch is a perfect dipper. The other day I tried the chorizo and scallops... oh my goodness gracious.. it was a lil spicy and creamy with the bean puree and the scallops were buttery, light and divine! 10 outta 10 would do again. Finally, got the goat cheesecake, gluten free ginger snap crust with poached pears. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I want this now and in every lifetime! The cheesecake was light, yet decadent, deep, creamy with a light, unassuming flavor. The crust was delicious and the poached pears added that perfect fruit component. I got Liam as my server both times, he was helpful, attentive, had good suggestions when asked questions and didn't interrupt at all, amazing! This is the spot for any occasion!

The host asked us a bit later if we'd like to sit down at some bar seats that opened up, which was very kind! I ordered the martini du jour and am obsessed. If you like martinis, this is the spot for sure! Looking forward to retuning!

The inside of the bar is pretty small and felt a bit cramped, especially with how busy it was on a Sunday. They do have a back patio that is fairly large, which I appreciated, but during the day it did not feel very inviting. Without lighting or much going on, it came off a bit plain. As for drinks, I tried a non alcoholic half and half with lemonade and iced tea, which I actually really liked. I also had a mojito style cocktail that was not my favorite and tasted a bit too strong for me. The overall vibe just was not really my thing, but I could see it being more fun at night or with a bigger group.

But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! We started with the supplì, which is like a rice-based version of a mac and cheese bite with red sauce, so good. The prosciutto bruschetta was also incredible and a very generous portion. For pastas, we tried a few and each one was so unique. The scarpinocc had this slightly sweet, really balanced flavor with beet, pickled orange, and butter. The bucatini with lobster was delicious with a nice kick from the Calabrian chili. The paccheri was a standout. It reminded me of a rich, slow-cooked pot roast but with pasta instead of potatoes. Easily my favorite of the night. And of course, the chicken parmesan was exactly what we came for. Thick cut, perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and smothered in red sauce, served with spaghetti. So good. For dessert, the individual popsicle was such a fun and unique touch, definitely worth trying. We also shared the crepe with ricotta and fruit, which was a perfect way to end the meal.
